My worst flying experience ever
Negativ: This flight was delayed 5 hours. I stood in a line of about 20 people to rebook but never made it to the front of the line after 4 hours. While I stood in line, I saw a flight leave the gate nextdoor for Houston, but I couldn’t get on because ticket agents would not process us. They came and went, leaving the desk for long periods of time. This is my first AND LAST time to fly United.
Negativ: I missed that flight
Border Patrol and Customs - long single line causing missed flight
Negativ: Our illustrious immigration staff was working very, very slowly (I know it's hard to believe that that are able to work more slowly that their regular pace but they were). The line was unbelievablely long and it took the better part of two hours to get through causing me to miss my connecting flight. I was rebooked on anotherflight departing five hours later. After already traveling 24 hours, this was very disheartening. Maybe the village idiot should relocate the excess staff he currently has assigned to the southern border to ORD where they could do productive work rather than wasting our hard earned tax dollars.
Positiv: Check-in and boarding procedures were pretty smooth.
Negativ: Security checks were always very inconvenienced.

It took four hours to get from Pittsburgh to Boston
Negativ: On the flight out we had to wait for four hours because there was a tire problem with the plane. They should have a better plan for circumstances like this. Then on our return flight there was fog in Pittsburgh airport and the pilot exaggerated when we had to land in Akron that it could take hours for the fog to lift. Some people including myself rented cars and drove to Pittsburgh at an extra expense
Great customer service
Positiv: I arrived early to the airport and they happily, and for free, moved me to an earlier flight that was departing right away. I saved hours and got home faster. Thanks American!
Negativ: No complaints from me!
Delayed , late, painful
Positiv: First leg was late causing my connection in phl to be a close call. Made connection with only 20 minutes to spare then had to fly around storms and added time to flight. Seats were so uncomfortable that my back and legs hurt from long flight.
Two planes, five flight attempts
Negativ: At 1:30pm I tried boarding the early flight. It had just started boarding so the customer service person 50 feet from the gate didn't bother looking whether there was space. At 4pm I boarded my flight. 90 minutes later it returned to the gate, with a promise to re-board later. 30 minutes later it was cancelled. Over the next 5 hours I was on the phone or in line with various customer service folks. They told me different things and gave me incomplete information. My app stopped showing my bag, nor the new tickets they gave me. At 7 pm I tried boarding a standby flight. I had been bumped down the list for some reason, and barely didn't make it. At 8pm I tried boarding a flight to a neighboring city. Because I got an airline credit card recently and used my free checkin bag advantage, I was denied. I then spent 60 minutes on the phone with one customer service agent, who let me into the next flight (which ended up having several empty seats, despite having been originally rebooked for late the next day). At 10pm I boarded the fifth flight, which was successful. After 6 hours of haggling with cusomer service and not being able to sleep, I was very upset. By then I knew that my bag had arrived at destination, but was told that if I didn't arrive by midnight then the bag office would be CLOSED! I was told to talk to the bag office to find out what to do if I arrived too late, but they left me on hold 30 minutes before boarding, until I eventually gave up. It would be one thing if this was just due to weather. However, there were many misteps by AA, mirroring the 5 people I had to speak with last week when I flew last (with no weather issues) and didn't have my credit card benefits honored at checkin (you can see my records on that one...). Overall I give AA an F, even taking into account the unpredictability of the weather. No food/drink on board during the 90 minutes taxiing, no apologies, only conflicting stories. I'm truly sorry to have signed up for a gold status challenge with AA, and should have stayed with an airline that is good enough to be ranked on tripadviser.
Positiv: Quick boarding
Negativ: Very cramped and small plane. I was lucky not to have anyone to sit next to me.
Logan was awful
Negativ: The control tower at Logan made our plane sit on the runway for probably an extra hour because they didn't prioritize our smaller plane getting a gate. It was extremely inconveniencing for myself and everyone else on the flight.
Positiv: The staff at Rochester was more than excellent and helpful to me to get me on my flight. Several folks went the extra mile to get me to the gate on time.
Positiv: I liked that the AA representative in PWM was able to get my daughter and I seats together on our connecting flight through PHL!
Positiv: Flight attendant made best of bad situation
Negativ: Idiotic. Scheduled at 410. Crew not there. Delayed because of that until weather hit. Stuck on runway. 2.5 hours delayed. Not booked on next flight from philly. Bounced to Mayer

2.5 Hours Late
Positiv: Nice gate agent and crew (once the finally arrived).
Negativ: Delayed 2.5 hours due to "crew rest" issue. No compensation given. Meal voucher offered AFTER all of the food concessions had closed. Boarding area was freezing cold. Terrible!
Positiv: Flight attendant was very pleasant.
Negativ: State College ticket agent told me I needed to check my roller bag, I said I didn't want to. He didn't give me the option of dropping the bag off at the plane. So I paid the $25 bag fee when others certainly didn't.
Short but sweet...
Positiv: Although minimal due to the short length of flight, the complimentary snack and beverage was enough to make our experience a little more comfortable. I am always cramped on planes, but it was bearable. It's hard to hear announcements through the speakers, but that may be more to do with my hearing than the presentation Overall a short flight, but pretty smooth and enjoyable.Oh, and Martin provided me with a seatbelt extension as soon as he noticed I was having trouble
Negativ: Not a big fan of flying...
Wow! Get in and sit down so we can tell you to wait!!
Negativ: Board the plane and immediately told we need to wait for maintenance. Come to find out that they just needed to remove fuel. In our seats at the gate for almost 2 hours. Crazy!!
Air Wisconsin American Eagle.
Positiv: Relatively cheap. Boarding stairs were difficult for my wife but the crew and other personnel were helpful.
Negativ: The level of comfort and snack weren't great but it was a very short flight.

Horrible flight attendant
Negativ: The flight attendant was so very rude to all and just had a horrible attitude the entire flight. Was also very late taking off, sat in small plane waiting forever to take off. Could not use my wifi that i bought on flight before for this flight, waste of money
Flight cancelled for the day
Positiv: American paid for the shuttle to Birmingham Alabama's airport
Negativ: My first flight was cancelled after a 3 hour delay. I was told they couldn't get my brother to DC until 3pm the following day. I called American and got my brother on a fligjt out of BHM. 1.5 hours away. He arrived the following day at 9:20 am. The worst.
I NEVER GOT ON IT
Negativ: Due to a delayed first flight, I never got on this connecting flight from Philly to Norfolk. Despite both flights being with American, the company did not communicate properly to the second flight making them aware 5 passengers would be delayed by MINUTES. The flight to Norfolk could have been held for a few extra minutes, especially since when we arrived the plane was still taxied at the gate.
Negativ: Plan was 65 minutes late for takeoff because of poor communication between airline and ground crew.
Negativ: Awful. Cancelled 20 minutes before scheduled take-off for no legitimate reason.
Positiv: Good flight, man in seat next to me was too large for my vomfoet

Positiv: Direct flight. Quick boarding.
Negativ: Very small and cramped plane. No drinks or entertainment or internet. Jet blue flight is much better but with one stop it's twice as long. This route tends to be expensive.
Positiv: Flight was on time and smooth. Made it an easy trip!

Negativ: Being stuffed into a little bus to get to the plane was a bit uncomfortable and confusing.
Negativ: Uncomfortable seating. If my trip had been anymore than 2 hours it would have been a miserable experience. Please provide specs on seating especially at window side Slope on window seating was extremely uncomfortable. I paid extra for preferred seating. I would have been more comfortable in isle seating

Positiv: It was a pretty full flight - only one vacant row. I was squashed next to someone that took up half my seat and the attendant offered the vacant row to a traveler on the front row. That passenger proceeded to sprawl out on the whole row, lounging with his movie on on tray, drink on another, and comfortably seated diagonally across two seats. I spent two hours with someone's elbow in my ribs, shoulders pushing me into the aisle, feet under MY seat and crushing my bag, and not able to put the arm rest down due to the mass of their thighs. It was a miserable two hours and it would have even kind to allow some seat movement for that oversized passenger.

Positiv: Crew, overal timing,
Door didn't shut
Positiv: The stewardess.
Negativ: That we were delayed 3 hours because the door wouldn't shut.
Negativ: Nothing . Crew and flight were good
Positiv: Short flight so understandably no food or entertainment. Flight atttendant very attentive and friendly. Flight was on time.
Negativ: Stewart Airport is very convenient with no stress check-in and arrival.
Positiv: Flight attendant was very pleasant.
Negativ: My flight to Columbia was delayed 2 hours and my flight from Columbia to Philadelphia was delayed 4 hours. On my flight from Columbia to Phili and also flight from Phili to New York, the gate # was changed and no-one reported it. I just happened to take a walk and noticed it. I am surprised at the inefficiency of American Airlines which I observed.
Negativ: I addressed this in the above box.
Positiv: Everyone was very courteous and everything moved smoothly
Negativ: Just don't like paying all the baggage fees over the cost of the ticket
Waiting on bus
Negativ: There must have been an issue bc everyone boarded the bus going to the plane and we waited 20 min standing on the bus.
