Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."

The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

Food

The in flight services is great. However, the planes do not depart on time if they are departing from other Airports except in Doha. If you have a small window with your layover, be prepared that you might miss your connecting flight. My luggage was delayed because their departing flight from a non-Doha Airport was late to arrive. Their baggage department is beyond horrible, there is no number to call and have to use Whatsapp and a reply can take more than 3 hours. I had to track the luggage by going the Atlanta International Airport and wait 3 hours for a manager with Qatar airways to first board a flight and then to get my luggage, since they do not have anyone in baggage services. For this I will never fly Qatar Airways ever again.

TV monitors are very old. Touchpad does jot work well.

Everything is included in the cost of a ticket, something that US airlines should learn! I cannot say enough about the experience and wood recommend to anyone traveling to destinations served by this airline."

Then told that we won't be getting on until 7am the next day, but only really started boarding at 8:30am. By the time we were told about the reschedule to the next morning, it was too late to get a hotel room (too far away) and was told that I could use a 'Quiet Lounge' at the airport (which wasn't quiet). While waiting to board at 7am the next day, ground staff told us that they had to change the plane so there would be a further delay. On boarding, we discovered that it was the SAME PLANE."

(Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!"

we travelled with the air bus to dubai, which was around 8 hours. then for the 19 hour flight, we had to travel with the smaller plane, which was just ridicilous.

Die First Class von Emirates ist sagenhaft. Kann ich nur schwerstens weiterempfehlen. Die Kabinen, Toiletten/Duschen, das Personal, Essen und Onboard-Unterhaltung wird man nur schwer toppen können.

Food: Chicken with peppers average, no good taste Drinks: had to broken cups, one on the top (changed that), one at the bottom with a hole in it. Red wine spilled all over my trousers and pullover. Shit happens, but (a) what about the quality of the goods and (b) how does the crew handle this? Crew/Service: Generally friendly, but the guy who served the red wine had no clue how to handle this: 1. Red wine on cloth is bad to clean 2. After I complained about a possible problem with cleaning and the possibility that the stain would stay, no reaction, only sortiere and the Recommendation from him was to use soda water which was actually not at hand and took him more then 10min to bring it. 3. I requested for the supervisor. She was very friendly and took my email address to write a report on this. I am now waiting for reaction and possible refund for cleaning or more. Another drink was offered but that was all until now. So I am curious about the reaction from Emirates. Overall it seemed like Emirates has a bad standing in BKK: - Bus boarding on B777 - No clear information about gate - Bad quality of material (cups) - For Emirates under average food quality Additional remark: The following connection flight from DXB to DUS, was very good, overall quality as expected from Emirates, food and staff was very good. So the above review from BKK -> DXB might have been an exception."

My brother and I got to the Airport 45 mins before the Check In Counter Closed but we didn't make it Thedue to the fact that we had a flat tire unexpectedly so my flight was cancelled and rescheduled to January 10, 2018 and paid extra $480.00 including penalty. If the Check in Counter did not close early, I could still be able to check in on time while there was still 45 mins remaining."

The crew should have kept us better informed with the updated delays. They didn't pass out a single snack the entire 4 hour delay, and gave us one cup of water each, terrible experience"

My bag was twice the weight limit, and the man checking my weight offered to check it for free. However, I did not want to check it because it had my DSLR camera and laptop computer with some other things. The weight limit is very small. I took everything out of my suitcase except the laptop and camera bag and it was still too heavy. Then I put some of my lenses in my purse took the camera and other lenses out of the bag and wrapped them in a scarf and managed to get it under the limit. So if traveling China Airlines make sure your carry on is less than 7kg, and good luck if you have electronics you don't want to check."

Negativ: "Boarding was bad. Not done by zones. Everything is willy-nilly at boarding in Taiwan. First to board were families with small children (even before first class). Fine, except: There were several families with small children lined up at first. The gate agent was about to board them, then she stopped and went out into the gate's seating area and started grabbing families with teenagers (only) to board with the families with small children. Seriously, she went and got several families that had teens (no kids in the fam under age 10) only, and lined them up behind the fams with smaller kids. What an interesting look on the faces of the first-class passengers waiting in a separate line to board. After boarding the new category of "All Families", first class boarded. Then the masses. Once again, zones were not utilized by gate agents, and we all boarded at the same time, ignoring the zones (front/middle/rear). Once in my seat I could not find a charging outlet, nor a USB outlet. And wifi? I asked the F/A. Her response: "We don't have. Sorry. Its 1 hour 50 minute flight. You are OK." Really! No, sweet woman, YOU will be OK, working. I will have to waste 2 hours not getting something productive done. Entertainment unit on seatback: Waste of time. Even if it worked, the sound requires the old twin-male plugin jack on the armrest. Nobody has one of those in his pocket, and the F/A's never passed any out. I can hear it now, had I asked for one: "1 hour and 50 minute flight. You are OK.""
