Angenehmer Flug, sympathische Crew

Zunächst wird bei der Lufthansa eine gegenderte Drohung ausgesprochen, nämlich, wenn die Gäste die Maske abnehmen sollten und sich den Anweisungen der Crew widersetzen sollten, würden die polizeilichen Organe am Bestimmungsort informiert. Das bringt schon mal "gute Laune" in die trotz 9 Mrd. Steuerzahlerstütze unveränderte Kabine. Die sieht dann auch so aus, als ob sie seit der letzten Stilllegung wegen Corona aus Kostengründen nicht mehr gereinigt wurde. Die Businessclass ist ohnehin eine Zumutung, nämlich die gleiche Bestuhlung, wie in Economy, nur mit einem leeren Sitzplatz dazwischen. Lufthansa sollte sich einmal ein Beispiel an Turkish Airlines nehmen, die die Zeit des Lockdowns genutzt hat, um für die Gäste ein Upgrade in Ausstattung und Verpflegung zu organisieren, die ihresgleichen sucht, aber bei der Lufthansa sicher nicht findet.

KLM is never consistent with services. Sometimes you get lucky with great comfort and other times you are forced to squeeze in a box for a seat. The food is always subpar and they have become so unfriendly when you need help. But hey, they are always on time and they have good connections.

A lady was seated in my window seat when I boarded, and seemed surprised when I insisted on reclaiming my seat (She had the middle seat). In contrast to Mexico City, the San Jose airport is a model of efficiency. Immigration is rapid, luggage comes out on the carousel in good time, and best of all there is a duty free shop right in the luggage claim area, so it is unnecessary to buy liquor ahead of time."

Expect to be stuck in Immigration for a minimum of an hour after landing; maybe plan on 1 1/2 hours just to get through Immigration and Customs. And if you are making a connection, whatever you do don't go through the sliding doors on the other side of Customs - I made that mistake once! I speak Spanish, so the following comments are not coloured by language difficulties ... Security staff are unfriendly. While there is supposed to be free wifi in the departure lounge, I couldn't figure out how to use it. A gate agent told me there wasn't any free wifi, all the time standing beside a sign that said there was. I was also singled out for a spot check of my hand luggage right in the jetway. The unfriendly lady doing that search so disarranged my stuff that I couldn't find my Kindle when I got on the plane, so was without my planned reading material."

Trotz online Check in wurde die digitale Boardkarte akzeptiert. Es wurde na h Kontrolle des Personalausweises eine Papierboardkarte ausgestellt. Im Flieger sind die Sitzreihen noch enger als bei Lufthansa. Der Service an Board war recht unfreundlich. Selbst Wasser gab es nur auf Nachfrage, ansonsten geht der Service an einem vorbei.

Sehr unfreundliches und wenig bemühtes Bodenpersonal. Zwang sämtliches Handgepäck aufzugeben, anschließend war weniger als die Hälfte der over Head bin’s leer. Hinweis auf elektrische Gegenstände im Handgepäck wurde ignoriert.

Checking in Madrid was a mess. I was there two and a half hour before flight departure, however, I has to wait during almost two hours to complete the check in. Considering all the changes and the documentation that has to be verified they should have hire more people. We weren’t informed and people were nervous.

Check in was a disaster. The testing rules are ridiculous. They made me wait so long to tell me to get another test that I missed the flight, then they charged me a fee. The staff was rude and uninformed. I will never fly this airline again and will advise others to avoid.

europäische Business Class lohnt sich nicht. Sie versprechen Dir Lounge, aber es gibt sie weder beim Start noch beim Ziel. Nur in Lissabon beim umsteigen. Und da werden fürchterlicher Kaffee und die schlechteste Pastel de Nata, die wir je erlebten, angeboten. Ganz ärmlich alles.

I purposely did not check a bag because I had limited time to make a train connection at my final destination, plus I had to go thru customs and I knew that in itself would be time consuming. I explained this to the airline staff, but they did not care. I think they should have first asked for volunteers; and if still needed, then randomly select people to check in the carry-on. Also they only were making people with the “suitcase” carry-on to check them in....anyone with a duffle-looking bag was not even bothered. Luckly, I’m mange to make my train connection, but I was running to do this...not fun at all."
