The day of the flight our connection flight was delayed we were told someone would escort several of the passengers from Lufthansa to the connection with United no one was there. Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience."

A lot of the passengers got frustrated cuz we had connecting flights and the workers by the plane didn't care including the bus driver. We finally went but we almost missed our flight .we had to literally run to the gate to make it."

Negativ: "We were in 40G and H, bulkhead seats. I have never had such a hot plane (and I am a world traveler). We were both very warm (felt like 85 degrees- warm enough to not be comfortable). I was told by the flight attendant that people in back of plane were freezing. The breakfast was good, but the dinner was ok, but not ‘I wish I could have seconds” good. I lowered the rating because they never gave us more than the one bottle of water that was on our seats when we arrived. That may have been ok for the people in the cold part of the plane but not for us in the sweating part. Luckily we had brought a big bottle of water."

Negativ: "The flight itself was great but it was very late in starting due to technical problems with the aircraft."
Positiv: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."

Bordpersonal war sagen wir mal nicht unfreundlich, mehr aber auch nicht. Höflich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam ist anders. Der Flug ging von Berlin. Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "Our luggage was trashed. Brand new luggage was broken with holes in the side and wheels missing. This was not cheap luggage this was 10 year warranty luggage but how do you collect on a warranty when you’re in a foreign country? So had to buy new luggage for the trip home. We’ll see if it survives their lame baggage handling."

Positiv: "Air Canada Cancelled the flight, which would have been ok, but their representatives left the airport instead of sticking around to help people reschedule. Their phone line was flooded with so many calls that you couldn't even stay on hold. And their email service takes at least 24hrs before you get a response. So effectively the entire airline was unavailable, even after canceling many people's vacations. I'll never fly AC again."

Negativ: "It was a huge plane with about 500 people on board. Not a lot of space for getting up an walking much. Not a lot of space between seat rows. I guess that's just the way things are. Had a huge issue with checked baggage [see below] but don't know which airline was at fault although the AIr Canada employee who checked our baggage in Washington, DC said we wouldn't see our bags again until we arrived at Hirochima, our final destination."
Positiv: "The beef and rice meal was really delicious and there were some good movies available for viewing. I enjoyed the cup noodles given during the flight."
Negativ: "The USB port only worked for a few seconds at a time so my mobile phone would not charge in either my screen nor my neighbor's screen. Luckily I had my laptop to plug my phone into. During lift off I found someone's used headphones and a candy wrapper along with my neighbor's magazine's in my seat pocket."

Negativ: "The comfortability of the flight was poor. Both my wife and I were too uncomfortable to be able to sleep on out more than 9 hour flight. Leg room bad, seats uncomfortable."

There isn't much space between seats so you're bumping elbows most of the ride, and during a 13 hour flight, that gets old real quick."

Negativ: "Worst experience. My connecting flight I had originally booked was cancelled, leaving. me with a six hour layover. I had no desire to shop duty free and was tired from my previous flight so I went to the gate which my flight would eventually leave from. While standing, since seating was extremely limited, and sitting at this gate I observed that every flight was either delayed or cancelled. Employees milled about with their backs to passengers with little regard to those inconvenienced, they seemed to be completely clueless when asked simple questions. The Pearson Airport was the most disorganized and inconvenient airport I have ever had the misfortune to experience. The toilet on this flight was broken and we were only informed right before boarding, making the decision to go while I could I missed them saying they were going to take our carry on bags away from us to stow below. I had medicine and camera lenses and other items I was wary of leaving my possession and had to sit on the tarmac a few minutes to re-situate my personal items. I have no intentions of flying through Pearson ever again."

Negativ: "The seats are quote awful if you are tall, like myself. I'm 6'3" and 4 hours into my 13 hour flight, I was regretting my decision not to pay the extra $100 for a seat with more leg room. My back hurt for 2-3 days after the flight, and I got up to move around every 3 hours or so."
Positiv: "I had upgraded to economy plus for my trip from Toronto and asked for an aisle seat. The plane was full so I was asked to wait till I was called. When they called me back they gave me a free upgrade to first class. I am a gold status United passenger so that may have had something to do with it but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The crew was wonderful, the food was excellent and the entertainment was terrific. I totally appreciated the ability to sleep over the 13 hour trip in the bed provided. Positiv: "The crew was amazing. I have never been able to hold a conversation with a flight attendant before, but the staff was friendly and kind. I also love the entertainment, like the games. They had some decent games and it was fun to compete with other people on the plane."
Negativ: "I didn't like the food too much, though. The quality was unpalatable: wilted salad, mystery meat sandwich, and cold eggs. Blegh. Also, I felt very cramped in economy. I rode other airlines that give slightly more leg room and on a 14 hour flight a little goes a long way. This one was just uncomfortable."

Positiv: "The cabin crew was horrible. When serving refreshments during the flight, I was ignored repeatedly when I asked for a soda. My wife sitting next to me, and the other passenger on our row were served. I asked the flight attendant 5 times for a drink and never received it."

Negativ: "Kayak's third party CS company gives me the ANA schedule while in fact I have to check in with United Airlines. Because of this, I was not able to check in on line in San Diego. Please ensure that Kayak & their affiliate are well coordinated with the information they send out to customers."
Positiv: "The flight crew was awesome! So accommodating and nice. They offered us to change seats since there were so many empty ones. I was able to have a whole row to myself."

Negativ: "they canceled our flight to hanaeda and instead had us take an hour later flight to narita which is a 1 1/2 hour $30 bus ride away which they don’t pay for. this caused us to miss our connecting flight to Asahikawa, the last flight of the day. The connection time allowed was not nearly enough even if the plane had not been an hour late and there are no flights to asahikawa from narita. yo have to transfer to hanaeda. remind me not to fly United to Tokyo again as I’m pretty sure the flight was canceled because it was not full enough. Even the narita flight with all the hanaeda passengers rebooked on it was not full. So i suspect this may be a relatively common occurance on the hanaeda flight."
