Seats even in basic economy are very comfortable with adequate legroom for my 250 lbs frame. Food is good with two choices and an option to customize online prior to the flight; and drinks are offered several times during the flight with numerous choices plus hot coffee and tea. Restrooms are cleaned several times during the flight and are stocked with amenities like toothbrush and paste, blindfold for sleeping, lotions etc."

Positiv: "Me & my wife were on Premium Economy. This was a connecting flight to Manila from Vancouver Canada. The food served was not visually appealing and very lacking in taste. The food can be improved for this sector. The food was a very far cry from EVA Air flight also on Premium Economy. Before this flight we took we took BR9 from Vancouver Canada. The Ground Agent at the boarding gate wanted us to check-in our carry-on baggage which was well within the measurements specified in the EVA Air website (23x36x56cm). My wife and I had only one carry-on each. The reason given the flight was full. I did not understand this since I could see there were lots of passengers who had carry-on baggage larger than the 23x36x56cm and more than one piece carry-on. Not sure why this female Ground Agent picked on us when there were lots more violations within her sight. Also, she was rude when we refused. Once inside the aircraft with all passengers boarded, there were lots of empty bins for carry-on baggage. The more I was not happy about this Ground Agent picking on our carry-on baggage. The more I did not understand why!"

I’d recommend EVA Air’s Premium Economy. The seats were wider and leg room was excellent. The amenities were great especially the entertainment part. TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad."

Positiv: "I took EVA flight 55 from Chicago O'Hare to Taipei Taoyuan airport. Everything went smoothly, from the check-in where the check-in and baggage staff informed me that one of my check-in bags was a little over weight and gave me a chance to repack the bag so I did not need to pay. Security lines for the red-eye flight time were not long, and once I arrived at the gate, EVA's boarding crew moved passengers along quickly. Flight attendants were very professional and courteous. Landing and baggage claim went well. No complaints at all! I would recommend this flight to anyone wanting direct service from Chicago to Taipei."

Die First Class von Emirates ist sagenhaft. Kann ich nur schwerstens weiterempfehlen. Die Kabinen, Toiletten/Duschen, das Personal, Essen und Onboard-Unterhaltung wird man nur schwer toppen können.

Negativ: "Boarding: by bus at BKK on a Boeing 777, not as expected with emirates, gate was set as “G1A”, we read this as Gate 1A, but needed to run from A1 all the way to G1, got late on the bus. Food: Chicken with peppers average, no good taste Drinks: had to broken cups, one on the top (changed that), one at the bottom with a hole in it. Red wine spilled all over my trousers and pullover. Shit happens, but (a) what about the quality of the goods and (b) how does the crew handle this? Crew/Service: Generally friendly, but the guy who served the red wine had no clue how to handle this: 1. Red wine on cloth is bad to clean 2. After I complained about a possible problem with cleaning and the possibility that the stain would stay, no reaction, only sortiere and the Recommendation from him was to use soda water which was actually not at hand and took him more then 10min to bring it. 3. I requested for the supervisor. She was very friendly and took my email address to write a report on this. I am now waiting for reaction and possible refund for cleaning or more. Another drink was offered but that was all until now. So I am curious about the reaction from Emirates. Overall it seemed like Emirates has a bad standing in BKK: - Bus boarding on B777 - No clear information about gate - Bad quality of material (cups) - For Emirates under average food quality Additional remark: The following connection flight from DXB to DUS, was very good, overall quality as expected from Emirates, food and staff was very good. So the above review from BKK -> DXB might have been an exception."

Negativ: "There was an incident prior to take off where a passenger in first class had to be removed from the plane. Though it’s certainly not the airlines fault that there was an issue with a passenger, they should’ve been a lot more transparent and gave us a lot more information on what exactly was going on other then “we need to go back to a special area to get this passenger off.” Couple that with the security checks to “make sure there is nothing on the plane that shouldn’t be” and very little explanation of what actually occurred, it made for a very stressful flight. Not knowing if this passenger had made any kind of threat against the plane, or safety of other passengers... etc, it was very hard to feel safe for the remainder of my trip being left in the dark as the incident occurred in first class."

Most other airlines label it as sporting goods and I pay the overweight fee, usually $150 CAD. Not this airline ! I could have booked another person for return flight and only added $300 to my bill ! Utter ridiculous how bad I got raped on this. Ok over weight yes. But over weith + oversize + oversize is a bit much !"

While the screens of my row worked, other rows were not working. Surprisingly no one fixed or complaint as the screens of other rows kept off from the start to the end of the flight. I felt so sorry for others."

Negativ: "Originating flight in Manila to Taipei to connect to our SFO flight was cancelled late in Manila due to 'technical' issues (waiting in terminal, 4 hours past scheduled departure, which meant missing our connection to SFO), and the ensuing parade through having to stay in Manila overnight (on CA's dime, plus food), then rushed back to the airport the following morning (very short notice), then to have to wait again as CA figured out how to get a previously scheduled flight into the flight plan management systems, and obviously without a proper method to coordinate this sort of thing - ultimately all of this lack of 'control' over their situation, lead to a feeling that China Airlines does not know how to contend with interruptions, or how to make their customers feel informed so that they may be more understanding. In the future - flying Eva - even though this was the first ever event of this type I have had flying China Airlines. Eva provided both meal vouchers and boxes of candy to each and every customer affected while we awaited our flights to our final destinations. CA was silent - and also very absent when we arrived in SFO and went to collect our baggage - again Eva being the party taking action and responsibility to help us get our bags, with 1 of 3 damaged by CA handlers). Bad image CA, bad image."

I had plenty of room in the two checked in bags but they had already been processed and moved out on the conveyer belt. Never heard of such as small allowance for carry-on luggage, at least on Delta, United and the other airlines I generally fly. My impression was that this rule was not much enforced since I saw many carry-on bags bigger than mine and judging by the effort I saw when people put them overhead, they likely were heavier than mine."
Positiv: "Cheap but much better than the Southern China airlines trip we took a couple of years ago. Airbus entertainment system worked, meals were hot, tea and beer flowed freely, seats were packed but not as tightly, restrooms stayed clean. Sit on the right side to enjoy views of Alaska and Japan coastlines and twilight fishing vessels."

Even shorter legroom than domestic flights!!! Food was bad... the main cabin was HOT why the business class was freezing :(

Awful experience

Boarding was poor due to a major issue of no boarding pass being printed at check in. This made us miss our flight and be delayed by 12 hours, with a child, arriving at our destination at 3.30am!! We were not alone in this with people from various AA departure points being affected. Compensation required.

One of the stewards, and I wish I had asked his name but did not, had braids in his hair. He was African American and was just the most pleasant crew member I have experienced with your airline. He was professional but also personable. He had a great attitude and sense of humor. I know in your industry the public is quick to report the bad experiences, but this experience was great. If you can find out his name, please let him read this comment and let him know it was refreshing to have someone like him on the flight!

A lady who wouldn’t shut up next to me. And the baggage crew ( probably not American ) out my bag on with everyone else’s and it was to go to the security

Power outlets didn’t work and the entertainment is accessed via your phone. So silly situation to be in. That really depreciated the value of flying American vs other airlines that either follow through on the service end or communicate the issues accordingly.

After waiting 10 minutes I️ went upstairs and found a chaotic mass of people checking in at the actual open kiosk. The check in process was not clearly defined and even after spending 30 minutes checking a bag I️ still had to care my checked bag down to another TSA check line. In their boarding area there were minimal phone chargers. The plane was small and no leg room and a rigid uncomfortable seat. Also the flight was at night and they kept the cabin lights on. That was super frustrating to an exhausted traveler who was trying to sleep."
