In this case, we were delayed for 2 hours, arrive to Nairobi and am at the gate 15 mins before and they sent me to customer service as the gate had just closed. More than 5 other people on the flight missed this common connection as well. Not only did KQ not have a system in place to work with other flights, the service area was completely swamped. People missed their connections because they couldn't get to the front in time to have a boarding pass printed or have a question answered. The staff were rude and didn't give eye contact or answer questions."

I it on board and someone else was in my seat. HE. Got bumped to first class..."

Finally, the airport in Nairobi is dangerous when early morning planes arrive. Arriving passengers who are in transit are ushered down an escalator where they are pushed into one another because of a security line backup...yet the escalator just keeps bringing more people. This happened to us in Nairobi in the early morning of July 26 and again in the early morning of August 2. I feared someone would be trampled or hurt."

When their offices opened trying to get them to book me on the next flight, i was told to pay full price. Their customer service is a complete joke. They should stay out of business."

Negativ: "We had to transit in Addis (connecting from Dakar) and the whole experience of going through the Addis airport, getting the voucher for the hotel, and going to the hotel was horrible: it took forever going through immigration and getting a simple stamp on the voucher (the latter an unsafe experience and time consuming, with hundreds of people piled up to get those stamps from just two people, crashing again each other, with no order, no lines). Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."

Negativ: "Boarding - Two last minute changes to departure gates, which confused the hell out of everyone. No announcement, just one staff shouting out to passengers."

Negativ: "None of the air stewardess has a smile on their face when talking to or serving passengers. I’m not sure they know how to engage with passengers in a friendly way. My entertainment screen wasn’t working. After resetting, it took them an hour to inform me that I could move to another seat if I wanted to, as they couldn’t resolve the problem with the screen. The food lacked in flavour and the sausage served for breakfast was undercooked."

Negativ: "The landing was terrible and quite dangerous. It was a lopsided and the plane was about to tip forward when we hit the ground. I was quite disturbed on arrival. I’m glad to say the we were lucky that webdid not have an unfortunate incident."

Negativ: "We had requested vegetarian meals, which were not provided on either leg of the Ethiopian Airlines flight. In addition, we had to pay an extra baggage fee and the payment process required us to wait for 45 minutes at the check in desk while the agents tried to sort out a problem wiht their computer system. They claimed that the problem was with the integration of their system with SAA's system."

Negativ: "Check in was a disaster: no logical control of 100s of people; delayed on the tarmac for 1:45 for a “minor technical reason” that apparently had nothing to do with the actual operation of the plane that prevented me from making my next flight. Food was terrible. Flight attendants could have been more helpful about my missed connection."

Ethiopian Air wouldn't check my luggage to my final destination, so in Dubai, for a 3 hour layover, I had to go through immigration, exchange money, and take a taxi for 30 minutes through rush-hour traffic to a different terminal. That is ridiculous. Don't sell it as one ticket if the two airlines won't cooperate together."

Negativ: "Somewhat dirty ( and smelly ) aircraft even though they are a very new fleet. Some seats had strange patches and stains. Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse)"

Negativ: "The return journey time from Dublin sucks... 6am flight, so u have to stay up all night pretty much... If they could change that, it would be amazing... Food not great, so you would be better off bringing your own stuff..."
