On balance though, still a top-class airline."

They had complementary tooth brush/toothpaste, ear plugs and eye masks in the restrooms. I thought this was a good way to reduce passing out items not all passengers wanted. I wish all airlines could copy these amazing features from them."

The rolls with margarine, same fruit and strongly cultural seasoned vegetables that were served every time, all of which I could not eat. I have liked every airline meals and hospital food, but their food was below institutional food quality. For an Asian airline, the flight attendants were rather crude in their speech and mannerisms. I could barely hear and understand the announcements in spite the fact that passengers were extremely quiet. Their choices of movies were very poor; it seemed that 3 out of 4 flights had similar options."

Problem is that once they passed you, it's hard to get their attention, as they are always in a hurry, and not looking over the cabin just to check if someone needs something or wants to call on them for any reason, and there are no attendant calling buttons available. So you have to wait until they come by your seat again. Finally I got my meal with apologies 15 minutes later, but the experience was already ruined and the negative impression built.. Also, when departing from Taipei, the boarding process was a bit disorganized, compared with the one we had in Vancouver. As for as the entertainment, the LCD monitor at my seat was pretty worn out, with very poor contrast, making it difficult to watch a movie or read information. Same airline with two opposing experiences: Vancouver-to-Taipei very good, Taipei-to-Manila: poor."

Their egarness to be productive and their rush were NOT justified, especially on such a long flight; low professionalizm."

I was late because customs took long and the flight from Taipei was 30 minutes late. So it's not like I was wasting time. I did not appreciate that the blame was placed on me in the way the counter people communicated with me. I noticed that the counter woman, and the supervisor did not speak to me at all. Not even to say "let me find out" or "sorry for the inconvenience" but both did speak to other customers that were of Asian Descent. They communicated both in English and Chinese. The young woman that booked the flight for me (different one from counter woman) was decent and attentive. Sherry who was the third woman I dealt with when I needed to sort the baggage issue was very attentive even explaining to the supervisor why It was the second time I was back at their offices. She went out of her way to make sure I saw my bags delivered to the UA luggage. But again, I am very disappointed and can't help to notice that other passengers received basic cordial treatment when I was blatantly ignored."

The map application is not useful -- not able to zoom in and out, not able to display entire trip view etc. (buttons are available, but when I click on it, nothing happens). Boarding is a big hassle. It is a big plane, but requires bus services to take people from the gate to the plane, it has a 2-stories stair to go up, ppl had to carry their luggages up."

Positiv: "My flight was delayed several times so I was never able to get on it. However the staff was ready for me as soon as I got to the counter and had already prepared with another airline, Thai airlines, all the necessary flights to get me safely home. Truly outstanding service, One of the best I have ever had in my life. I will continue to recommend both this airlines to every person I know. You guys are the best. Thank you so much!"

Negativ: "Flight delayed 90 minutes. Poor communications in boarding area. No bi-lingual staff. Food consisted of a cup of yogurt, banana, and stale bread. Awful. Cabin crew was rude. Spouse's entertainment system did not work correctly."
Negativ: "We got inside to the checkin desk finally after waiting in horrible traffic and lines just to get into the airport. The checkin staff had already left the desk with 1 hr and 10 minutes before the flight. The guy at the information desk came to verify. After making a scene the police/security finally agreed to get someone on the radio. They refused to come back to get us and we were not allowed to go through security. We were told to go to an office in another building but the door was locked, no one home. We continue to fight but couldn't get any progress, missed our flight and ended up spending 10 hours in that airport and then having to wait an extra 10 in China for our missed connection. We went to the office. They refused to help us. Made us pay cash, couldn't take credit card, had to take out 3 different withdrawls, couldn't rebook us, had to call a downtown office. And basically said we were liars and we weren't there on time. Even though they only had the 2 employees working the entire airport for this airline. Still no power in the seats, no wifi, ended up missing an entire day plus the travel day that I was meant to be working. Travel insurance wouldn't cover because it wasn't a "strike" I don't know what else you call it when someone decides not to do their job."
Negativ: "The flight over wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. Food was strange, and I'm not a picky eater. Service was poor, and flight attendants don't speak much english. There were no power outlets for a 15 hour flight, which was stated when we booked with this airline."

Either start earlier/end later or pick Videos that fit in the time window they offer for viewing"
Flew business class. Our luggage was the last to arrive at the belt; 15 minutes after the last bag. Sigh.

When boarding they do security check. It's OK. But why don't they use business class gate even there was the one?"

Steward saw this and gave me extra peanuts instead. The brekkie was awfulll, the supposed scrambled eggs was congealed into the shape of the holder and again lukewarm the grilled tomatoe looked washed out....unappetiising...so ate the squahed croissant , yoghurt and fruit. What happened to international food standards . Crew was nice...though if wanted water later on had to get yourself.They didn't come around much offering water before Brekkie. No game option eg Sudoku on Entertainment site. My bag come off carousel more scratched than with other Airlines, so poor handling. Disembarked by stairs at Sydney Airport near Cargo plane area and had bus to Airport. Never had that before on an International flight , so took much longer to get into terminal....last thing you want after a long flight."
Negativ: "Flight canceled last minute! Lost my connection back home. Still no news about pay back. Had to book another flight on my own expense."
Positiv: "First experience with Malaysian. Really good. On time both boarding and take off. Food to my liking, perhaps spicy to others. Crew were polite and did their job well. Over all good and service and experience more than expected."
Negativ: "Was looking forward to see and experience new KLIA. Had heard about it, perhaps, 10-15 years back. Not that great, bit crampy. Open seating near gates is current style. Toilets are bad, truly Asian!"
