Leider wurde unser Gepäck vom Mumbai Flug nicht auf den Basel Flug gebracht, so dass wir ohne Gepäck in Basel ankamen. Auch wurde diese Information wohl erst spät nach Basel gebracht,da wir dort ewig auf unser Gepäck gewartet haben bis wir informiert wurden. Das trübt den ansonsten sehr guten Flug.

Die Sitze hängen, wenn man sie verstellen will, die Armlehe am Gang lässt sich nicht hochklappen. Der Klapptisch ist wackelig und schief."
Positiv: "LH hat adäquate Gepäckbestimmungen mit ausreichenden 23 kg Check-in Gepäck, eine professionelle Flugabwicklung und viele Annehmlichkeiten, wie Mitternachtssnack auch mit Wein oder ganz ordentliches Frühstück für das Ende des Nachtflugs. SMS / E-mail Benachrichtigung über Verspätung ist vorbildlich, allerdings nützt einem das wenig, da die show up Zeiten eingehalten werden müssen, d.h. statt 3 Stunden muss man bei einer Stunde Verspätung trotzdem zur gleichen Zeit erscheinen und damit 4 Stunden warten."
Negativ: "Online check-in in Mumbai war äußerst holprig und Bordkartenausdruck ohne Vorankündigung "due to administrativ restrictions" verboten. Widerspüchliche Aussagen machen es nicht leichter, man braucht ja einen Ausdruck um überhaupt ins Flughafengebäude zu dürfen. Anstatt um 2.55 Uhr nachts dann eine dreiviertel Stunde Verspätung. Am Online bagage drop off äußerst zurückhaltender Service. Der elektronisch gebuchte Sitzplatz wurde nicht auf der jetzt ausgestellten Bordkarte übernommen, sondern ein willkürlicher, weit entfernter Platz. Die Dame am Schalter konnte auch keine nebeneinander liegenden Plätze für mich und meine Frau buchen. Das sollten wir mit den Passagieren ausmachen, die würden vielleicht tauschen. Und ein Blick auf den Sitzplan, das ist leider verboten. Bei so einer Kundenorientierung kommt die Lufthansa üblen Billigfliegern gleich. Vielleicht sind dort die Flightattendents jedoch weniger hochnäsig."
Weg mit der Maskenpflicht! Sonst alles gut.
Dienstleistung wurde nicht geliefert wie gebucht und ich musste trotzdem Stornierungskosten übernehmen. Nie wieder.
Mehr MNS Kontrollen während des Fluges, einige Fluggäste haben Maske nicht korrekt getragen Getränke Service inkludieren. Erwarte ich mir bei einer Premium Airline

Negativ: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

Also the giant plane felt like it was hard to maneuver during take off and landing. I would very much prefer a smaller plane. The touch screen in front of me was not always responding when I tried to tap the screen. The audio jack was also not working great; sometimes I did not have audio in my right earbud and I had to turn and fidget the plug. The earbuds provided by the airline did not even work when plugged into the screen, I had to use my own earbuds."

First time flying Austrian, but next time I’ll probably book with their competitors if prices are similar."

We were promissed out luggage on Sunday evening. No one called and as of Monday morning no news."
Positiv: "We had a very tight connection but there was no problem. With only 30 minutes between arrival and departure our checked bags still made the flight."

Electronic check in did not provide food selection, specially for individuals who suffer some food allergies... Boarding process to be revised taking in consideration last minute matters to be better coordinated."
Our luggage wasn't checked through but no one told us until we had gone through the luggage area in Toronto. Then it took Air Canada 30 minutes to figure out IF we had to pick up our bags. Then another 40 to "escort" us back to pick up our bags. By which time we had missed our connection. The entire time, they tried to tell us it was our fault for forgetting to pick up the luggage. Oh, and when they rebooked us on the next flight...one of our suitcases was left behind in Toronto. Worst experience in air travel in a long time.

Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "Flight was delayed and no one knew why!... Plane had been sitting ready at the airport for hours. Novice flight attendants, they each picked on different things others missed just before them. No consistency, seats left reclined during takeoff and landing for example. One way there was drink service once even though it was a smooth flight and the return had drink service twice even though it was bumpier! Entertainment does NOT work on androids, it is NOT the AirCanada app they tell you to download prior to the flight, it's an AirCanadaRouge.pk file that needs to be downloaded in flight! Which means we're stuck paying for the iPad and of course only with cc because there's no wifi for debit cards.... AC needs to stop this insanely mediocre and yet expensive monopoly."

Positiv: "The crew on the flights was great over all but everyone else that we encountered seemed confused, rude, and/or uninterested in helping anyone."
Negativ: "Multiple times on the trip we were told one thing only to be told the complete opposite by someone else a short time later. No two teams seemed to have any clue what the other was doing and there seemed to be no overarching strategy or systems in place company wide. We have flown with a baby many times on my airlines and this time was by far the worst- they do not seem like a family friendly airline at all."

They're the only ones that go direct between YYZ and SFO, so not much choice there, but their staff are always friendly and courteous, and usually the plane provides wifi (for a price), which makes the hours whiz by."
Negativ: "There was a slight delay in boarding at SFO, but that was more due to the lateness of a different plane/airline, so not really Air Canada's fault."

Negativ: "Some staff were rather difficult to engage - lacking interpersonal skills and hence leaving me in a 'did they hear me?' mode. I suspect that this is a 'how they are managed issue!'. The 'boarding zone' system either suggests they normally have crowd control issues or need to better understand human dynamics. Every one was bored by zone 5 boarding and the system falls over at zone 4! From a commercial point of view the experience was one of felt weariness!"

Negativ: "Not comfortable at all, seats are too crowded, and cabin was way too hot!! Some ppl had to undress their babies..."
Negativ: "After making if through a very busy customs and security line i make it to my gate only to find out that they lost my bag and they can't let me on my flight. I have been waiting in line for 3 hours to know what they are going to do to fix it and i'm still waiting.... i have flown with them before and it was fine but this is just ridiculous."

Negativ: "They were weighting carry on luggage. My luggage was was 22pound and they asked me remove one pound. Plain redicules. They don't provide any snack. West jet is much better option. They have screen TVs. Very boring . Extremely tight leg space. Air Canada is coping Spirit Airlines since they are monopoly. Not many airlines have direct flights to Montreal. They are taking full advantage of it."

Negativ: "Poor room service, no TV for 10 h long flight, meals were small and not tasty, wine or beer has to be bought. Parents with little babies were sitting in all passengers area. I was hungry and tired after this flight."

Larger windows which have adjustable shading rather than a physical shade. More frequent snacks and beverages than expected. In today's travel industry where it seems customer comfort is less and less a priority, This plane and Air Canada were a welcome and pleasant experience"
Positiv: "The entertainment at my assigned seat was not working so they offered me a change in seat prior to boarding, was a better seat with more leg room, and I could listen to music to try to sleep the airline offered $10 to spend for food in airport, that was nice. the crew on the plane were great."
Negativ: "the flight had an extended delay >3 hours, they did their best I suppose to keep people updated. I had flown from Barcelona and already had a 4 hour layover so I was extremely tired."

One seemed a little put off that I asked for a Bloody Mary. The movie selection was excellent and varied, though the music selection was minimal. As someone who doesn't rely on my phone for music, I thought it would have been nice to have a better selection of music. Most categories had only 4 albums from which to choose."
Negativ: "(1) Left late; arrived later (2) Late arrival and security clearance caused missed connection to Washington, DC (part of the same ticket). Initially, I discussed with Air Canada ways to get to ANY of 3 DC area airports. Nothing was available for more than 19 hours. Instead of continuing to find a flight to arrive in the evening, possibly a full day late, I asked to check on a flight to Philadelphia, from where I would rent a car. (3) The flight to Philadelphia was then delayed. (4) Our bags made our original flight, so I had to file a claim when we got to Philadelphia without any bags arriving. (5) By the time the baggage claim was filed at Philadelphia and I got the rental car, it was 1 a.m. Then I drove 2 more hours to get home at 3 a.m. And today I have the pleasure of dropping off the rental car and picking up my car at the airport in DC. (6) And did I mention that there were supposed to be 2 vegetarian special meals on our flight (for my wife and daughter) and Air Canada's system dropped this request even though they had gotten it correct on the way to Asia?"

Negativ: "I was put in overbooking, and was concerned about not being able to get on the flight. Everything worked out fine in the end, but still did not appreciate this. Given the risk of not being able to board, I will likely not use this airline in the future."

Negativ: "Bottom line is that they appear to NOT service their planes well and Captain made poor decisions. Only flight on the board listed as "delayed" on a sunny cloudless day in Orlando. Never a raindrop and instead of leaving at noon, we left at six. 1. Took them 45 minutes to change a tire on the nose. 2. According to captain " a strange item was beside his cockpit seat and that took an hour. I assume he didn't recognize his empty Oreo box. How do you allow someone to drop a strange box in the cockpit. 3. Taxi out and a switch won't work. Sit there for 45 minutes. "We were able to reset it." Go 100 yards. Stop. "Need to do another reset." Doesn't work. Takes corporate 30 minutes to decide what to do. Return to terminal for maintenance on phantom problem. 4. Sit at terminal for a couple hours. No one allowed off. Beverages are all warm. Crew serves warm water and crappy sugar-bomb pretzels. Passengers get sick. Won't let anyone off. 5. Finally gets in the air. Crew has nothing but snacks; no real food. Beverages are warm. 6. EVERYONE misses connections."
On time Crew facilitatîg swift boarding
The crew managed the covid guidelines very well in a friendly way. Wearing a mouthmask does not feell ok in a 2 hours flight. As long s people are sitting still, I would consider periods of taking it off all together, (keep it on up to departure and then again before landing. People moving shoud wear a mask.

Negativ: "1. There is a security check just prior to boarding at the gate in Brussels that is not known about in advance. The process is not organized, nor did I (along with other passengers) understand why another checkpoint was being unexpectedly required.. 2. The food onboard (main meal - beef and snack - calzone) were not good; although they were served hot, they were bland and unappetizing. Contrary to popular belief, not all airplane food is "bad". 3. And finally, the restrooms were not kept clean during the flight - I had never seen that on any of the nternational airlines I've taken over several years."
