Almost no information was given about what to expect about our onward travel connections in Vancouver (most people had connections). I was told that not only would AC book me on an alternate flight, but there would be an agent to meet us with information about baggage, hotel stays, etc. There was no such agent. An agent was only available for folks connecting long-haul to Sydney, Australia, but for no other destinations. I tried to call the airline directly to get information, and kept being told "you will have to speak to someone at the airport". No information was given about where my bags where, whether they would be at the airport or about my connecting flight. I was also told that if I chose to stay in a hotel I would need to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement. Unwilling to take the risk of not getting reimbursed, I, like many of my fellow travellers, chose to suck it up and sleep on the floor at the airport. They also failed to tell me that I would need a brand new boarding pass, so after waiting 30m to get through security, I then was sent back to wait another 30m to "check in" yet again and get another boarding pass. This was absolutely one of the worst flying experiences I've had recently, and it utterly frustrates me that AC has a near-monopoly on Canadian air travel. I live in Victoria and will likely go back to what I did in the past, which was take sea travel to Seattle and fly from there just to avoid Air Canada."

Negativ: "First, I despise Air Canada's new policy of charging $25 per segment per passenger to get a seat assignment - any seat assignment. This isn't a surcharge for more leg room, or to move to business class - it is for the ability to pick seats at all. That means that if I want to sit next to my spouse on a simple direct flight, the cost is $100 round trip ($25 x 4)! For that much money, we should not only be seated together, we should be seated together at a very nice restaurant (which is exactly where we spent the $100 that we refused to spend on seat assignments). Second, my particular seat wasn't clean. Someone had been sick, and it wasn't completely cleaned up. Maybe getting a clean seat is an additional surcharge? The nice stewardess helped me and with some sanitizing hand wipes we were able to get rid of the remnants stuck on my tray and the wall of the aircraft (of course, since I didn't pay for a seat assignment, I ended up in a last row window seat in a plane without middle seats)."

Negativ: "They messed up my mobile checkin making me miss my flight and then had thenough nerve to try to make me pay a 80$ change fee to take the next flight that was 100$ cheaper than my original. Waiting for a refund! I had to take American Airlines home. I will never flying with them again!"

Negativ: "Boarding at the Toronto airport was an absolute mess. One of the "gentlemen" scanning tickets was moderately rude to people waiting to board. Which I mean, I get it, it's a rough job, but dude. I don't wanna be here any more than you do. Stow the attitude and scan the ticket. The food was eh, but that's all airline food. There isn't much space between seats so you're bumping elbows most of the ride, and during a 13 hour flight, that gets old real quick."

American Airlines provides warm nuts and a fresh baked cookie and I had to pay more for the upgrade than I did on American for a longer flight."

My seat was on three roll seats and there was another person was same roll and we share other seat and strength our legs."
