Poor communication from boarding staff, airport staff not a clue. Communication on board was un decipherable and airline lost baggage.

People seated all the way in the back should be allowed to board first and fill the plane back to front. Makes it less likely for you stand around waiting for people as well people all the way in the back making contact with every possible human already seated in the aisles. 2. Comfort - Window seats are too hot, middle aisle seats are too cold 3. Thankfully they do have halal offering. Now if they will even let me choose that I am allergic to seafood. Glad for the chicken. Nothing to boast about."

Had to new walk in the sweltering heat to the plane can climb up steep stairs in the heat! We were now kept in the plane for another hour with no aircondotion. It was boiling hot in there. We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers."

Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"

The crew was very friendly. The check-in to boarding process was onerous and unclear. I understand that part of the process is not the airline's responsibility but they can lobby to streamline the process

We found out at the airport."

Negativ: "The airline doesn't accept payments for changing flights over the phone. I arrived at Lilongwe airport and they said I couldn't pay them there and that I should pay in Nairobi. The plane was of course late leaving Malawi and when I arrived in Nairobi, the plane was getting ready to leave. The customer service line had +20 people in it. I waited my turn then the agent said it was my fault that I missed the flight and the next flight would be $243 USD instead of $90 like the gate agent stated. Then they told me I had to pay the $243 in cash and they didn't accept credit cards. All of the ATMs were broken there. I returned to the agent and they did accept credit cards, they just didn't want to go to the office to swipe it. The entire ordeal took +4 hours. Worst customer service ever."

Negativ: "Food - just horrible Nairobi airport not much to do and annoying additional security checks between sub-terminals in terminal 1."
Negativ: "We only had 30 minutes to catch this connecting flight due to our incredibly delayed PrecisionAir flight. We got to the service desk to get our boarding passes and there was only one person to service a multitude of people. Of course they knew that a flight was coming in, why there was only one personnel is still a mystery to me. The person who served us, Victor K., was probably the least helpful customer service personnel I've come across. He was very slow, considering that he knows there's a lot of us trying to get to our next flight. We ended up missing our connecting flight. And for some reason, the plane left earlier than the time it was supposed to leave. Another mystery to me. Shouldn't their system have told them that there were a few passengers on the previous flight that was supposed to board this connecting flight?! They did give us a free hotel for the night, or so they call a hotel. The food served was just horrendous. They just served whatever is enough to be considered "food". I will never fly with Kenya airways ever again. They are so unreliable, irresponsible, and have very little regard to customer service."

Negativ: "I was originally scheduled on a Precision Airways flight but it did not fly, so put on Kenya Airways flight. Unfortunately my bag didn't make it so had to spend the night without it. It did come the next day, so I was able to climb Kilimanjaro. Don't know which company messed up."

The flight was comfortable and service was great. The wait on the Lome layover was longer than the airline promised but the crew landed us at Newark on schedule.

Negativ: "First of all, my flight had no option to plug my cellphone, there was no TV screen and no WiFi.. they served some loaf of bread cut in half with some spices inside and called it dinner! But the most disappointing thing is the fact is that they LOST BOTH OF MY LUGGAGE BAGS, and the most they could offer me is $50 compensation (my belongings worth thousands of dollars) And even this I would have to claim from my “home country” which is completely unreasonable as my home country isn’t the one lost my luggage, the airlines had! Beyond shocked, disappointed and aggravated, this was my first time flying this airlines and I promise you it’s the last. Won’t recommend to anyone."

We almost missed our flight because the lines and process was so disorganized. The plane ride - the plane was old. My seat was so old, the cushion was worn down to the point of feeling like a bucket seat. This was really bad..."
Negativ: "Flight was overly delayed - as a result I missed my connection to Capetown and endured a lot of feeds in cancellation of pre-planned trips. Ground staff in Mumbai and Addis Ababa were awful. Mumbai staff was rude and inconsiderate. Addis Ababa team does not even make eye contact when talking to passengers. I could not wait for this travel to be over. Aircraft was mediocre.. During boarding, they don't seem to care about Priority passengers - despite my status with other Star Alliance carriers. Not sure I will fly by Ethiopian again."
Positiv: "I like that the bulkhead seats (typically where the baby bassinet is placed) have electrical outlets which I used to easily charge my phone; and that there is nice legroom space."
Negativ: "Economy is a bit tight; the bidding process for Cloud Nine (business class) has reduced the chance of passengers being upgraded for free especially as a means to reward frequent flyers, or help passengers with special needs/accommodations."
Positiv: "On the sequrity check our watch was stolen. And we did not get any help from ethiopian airlines...we would like to get help."
Positiv: "I took a roundtrip to Addis Abeba, Ethiopia from Washington, DC. The trip was 13 hours there and 16 on the way back (I think that included a refueling stop in Dublin). There was plenty of food and beverages provided throughout the flight - usually every 3 hours or so. Blankets, pillows, and several movie/entertainment were provided."

Positiv: "When I originally booked this trip it was with one connection and a 16 hour commute time. They added legs to my trip which significantly increased travel time. I tried to cancel my flight because I booked the flight with the necessity of arriving by specific days and times and they insisted on charging me for it so I just forfeited my seat and trip all together. There's nothing good to say about Ethiopian airlines."
