Positiv: "It's hard to get a flight out of Vietnam one-time using their cheap local carriers so I went with an international brand. At $200 roundtrip, I was worried there were going to be a bunch of charges for things as well as delays. But low and behold, UNI/EVA seems to have figured out cheap tickets that run on schedule and includes all the normal perks like luggage. 1:50am flight is perfect, left Vietnam on time and even arrived in Taipei ahead of schedule! I would definitely fly them again."

Few minutes later, she asked me to move my luggage and to place it to another overhead cabin because she said It's "heavy." I followed the standard size and weight for carry on luggage. Another passenger helped me instead. No place to rest our feet."

Also, had to go to a separate counter and wait in a separate line to pay the fee, which took quite a while and seemed VERY unnecessary."

Negativ: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."

Those same people did not get on the connecting flight and so Emirates managed to take our bags off as well, so we end up in London for a months stay with no luggage. Food: Chicken with peppers average, no good taste Drinks: had to broken cups, one on the top (changed that), one at the bottom with a hole in it. Red wine spilled all over my trousers and pullover. Shit happens, but (a) what about the quality of the goods and (b) how does the crew handle this? Crew/Service: Generally friendly, but the guy who served the red wine had no clue how to handle this: 1. Red wine on cloth is bad to clean 2. After I complained about a possible problem with cleaning and the possibility that the stain would stay, no reaction, only sortiere and the Recommendation from him was to use soda water which was actually not at hand and took him more then 10min to bring it. 3. I requested for the supervisor. She was very friendly and took my email address to write a report on this. I am now waiting for reaction and possible refund for cleaning or more. Another drink was offered but that was all until now. So I am curious about the reaction from Emirates. Overall it seemed like Emirates has a bad standing in BKK: - Bus boarding on B777 - No clear information about gate - Bad quality of material (cups) - For Emirates under average food quality Additional remark: The following connection flight from DXB to DUS, was very good, overall quality as expected from Emirates, food and staff was very good. So the above review from BKK -> DXB might have been an exception."

Also the touch screen is not working, at first I pushed so hard until i hurt my finger tip, at the end I used buttons on an remote to control the screen(stupid me!!). The screen reset to an old version couple of times during the flight the crew had to reset for me( the airline should know what i'm talking about) It's a six-hour flight but the meal was literally served at 8.55pm(original time) in my section which is the last section to get food when the flight took of at 6.10pm(original time) - almost three hours into the flight. Can't believe they claimed to be number one airline in the world. If you fly to the States from thailand. Take Quatar if you want to go to the east coast or asian airlines any thing japanese or korean or even chinese airline like Hainan airline. They are all way better than this."

Though it’s certainly not the airlines fault that there was an issue with a passenger, they should’ve been a lot more transparent and gave us a lot more information on what exactly was going on other then “we need to go back to a special area to get this passenger off.” Couple that with the security checks to “make sure there is nothing on the plane that shouldn’t be” and very little explanation of what actually occurred, it made for a very stressful flight. Not knowing if this passenger had made any kind of threat against the plane, or safety of other passengers... etc, it was very hard to feel safe for the remainder of my trip being left in the dark as the incident occurred in first class."
