I can't honestly describe this flight because my partner and I were unwillingly kicked off of it. We paid full price for our tickets and were confirmed and on time for our departure. However, we were not given seat assignments. When we went to the boarding gate to remedy us, the attendant literally shooed us away saying that the flight was overbooked and we were in standby. After boarding ended, we watched as people who were late for the flight were allowed to board. Then, all of the other standby passengers except my partner and I were permitted to board. As the plane departed the attendants repeatedly told us that "this is how airlines work"--which is to say they overbook us and our flight is not guaranteed. We were reimbursed a payment that wasn't even a quarter of what the flight originally cost us. We were also out up in a hotel room that we were told was downtown--it was 3 miles from the city center with no access to a nearby train. Today we were forced to go through security and passport check all over again for a flight we have been wait listed for. So we had to make this torturous trip back to the airport to hang in tedious uncertainty. I'm not sure when and if we will get home. I'm not sure how many times we will have to relive this airport check in and rebooking nightmare. Lufthansa is hands down the worst airline I have ever flown with and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Second meal was a terrible veggie sandwich. They should have had at least a second option to pick from.

Service and crew behavior was not very friendly. I asked if there was another option except for fry vegetarian pasta and the crew member responded: “nothing else, take it or leave it”.

Like: The flight attendants Do better: be on time. You informed us of a 25 minute delay…..that turned into over an our….probable cause - under staffed baggage handling to load the plane. In Newark we waited in excess of 30 minutes to see our luggage so we could transfer to our next domestic connection. Result - missed connection. Probable cause - under staffed or poorly functioning baggage handling.

I missed the flight!!!! , they left me !

Shelves for baggage are small - it is not enough room for all passenger bags. Entertainment can be better. Food... It could be SIGNIFICANTLY better! Or just do not serve it et al. If I could I would not buy it."

Negativ: "The seats should be fixed to prevent them from going back as far as they do. With space so small as it is, it is unnecessary to have them go back so far if at all. The food was poor, especially the cold egg and pepper sandwich at the end. My guess is that they were suppose to be heated which would have made them much better but the crew decided to give them out cold."

+ Es war ein angenehmer Flug trotz Verspätung. - Die Toiletten waren gehen Ende des Fluges absolut ekelerregend aufgrund von Unfähigkeit mancher Fluggäste anständig auf die Toilette zu gehen.

One of the crew members essentially harassed one particular people about having their mask up higher while others were wearing theirs below their nose the entire time. Seemed like a power play and out of line. It was awkward and discomforting overall.

AC dropped the ball. Asked us to deboard and then board again after an hour. Then stayed in plane for 30 minutes before moving absolutely unprofessional.

Ground crew was not assigned till 30 minutes after we boarded.

Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

On the way to our destination there was a 4 hour delay due to a problem at the airport. Though frustrating, probably not air canada’s Fault."

Can barely sit in the set, no room to stretch legs, tray table hits my stomach, and I don't even have a big belly. When the guy in front reclines, cannot even get out of my seat. Chaotic boarding process without any order or instructions or announcements, poor food and entertainment."

Delta bent over backwards to assist... AC was non-commital and not helpful at all... waited for incoming flights at the airport MSP for 8 hours... no bag... finally, Delta gave us vouchers for dinner and put us in a hotel... when it as really Air Canada's fault... etc, etc..."
Negativ: "-didn't make it clear that we needed to download air canada app for entertainment. Crew gave conflicting information. International flight was NOT equipped for inflight entertainment. Food was not good--mainly packaged and not fresh."

Due to an underbooked flight, we had free choice of seat, because I originally was booked on an aisle seat, I could change to a window seat, that was nice. Since it was a small machine from Toronto to Minneapolis (a little more than 1,5h flight), there was no entertainment system, besides the nice view out of the window. And who likes to start a movie during such a short flight, to not be able to finish it? They also ask you to hand in your carry-on before you enter the plane, because there is not enough space for it inside, which I liked, no wiggeling along the aisle with a little trolley, I just fetched it outside the plane after we landed."
Negativ: "Unfortunately, Air Canada didn't serve gluten-free snacks on any of my flights yet (I had good gluten free food though). This is not meant as a negative review, because as an allergic you're usually prepared. It's more a suggestion for gluten-free snacks, peanuts or m&m's work as well as most gummy bears or chocolates :)"

Negativ: "Connecting flights to/from the US are a challenge. Both times (coming and going) were significantly delayed, causing me to miss my outbound flight. While AirCanada did rebook, I ended up in a ridiculous process of having to claim my suitcase (even though it had been checked all the way to my final destination and I never intended to stay in Canada) which involved dealing with non- communicative staff who slowly located the bag, got me an escort into the baggage terminal and then send me through customers even though I was just trying to get the bag on the flight they rebooked me on. Whole process took 2.5 hours. My shuttle was late for my inbound trip and when I tried to check in (which was just slightly less than an hour before departure) they took my passport and just stood there. No communication about what was happening. Luckily, after about 10 minutes they did check me in but kind of unnerving not to know what was happening. Wish the staff were more available and more communicative."

Negativ: "The gate facility at the Toronto airport was worse than a bus terminal. It was over-crowded and chaotic. Again, we boarded through the tarmac and not through a walkway."
Negativ: "There was a yappy dog on the flight which the owner kept outside of the kennel for much of the flight. This is a serious security and health safety breach. One of the flight attendants said "I have a dog so I understand" and let he continue to kee the dog outside the kennel. Flight from hell."
Negativ: "Though not in your control, we had a two hour late start. The gate area was crowded with too little seating. It was so far from the main airport area that refreshments were hard to get. The airline did give some snacks but nothing very substantial. Our 8:30 something flight didn't get off until after 10."

I had already been traveling over 24 hours due to the time zone differences and this last flight was just intolerable. Certainly it could have been worse, but this was just terrible already."
