Does the airline seriously believe that you can travel around the world with just a swim trunk in your pocket? This policy is an insult to any world traveller. We do not all go into an all-inclusive resort! The only drink offered during the flight was plain water, again a step down from before where they also offered others, e.g. orange juice. Seating - now that big persons have the right for two seats for the price of one, when will the same rational apply to tall people?"

Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "That delay was horrendous, I spent 10 hours at an airport. I woke up so god damn early to get there because of news spreading the worries of people waiting at customs immigration to the U.S. it only took us 40min to get through and the flight delay notice was given an hour and a half before departure. We couldn't even sleep on any benches because they were all designed for individuals to sit. It wasn't until our gate location moved to the end of that area was there any carpeted floor space to sleep on. On the flight, economy seating was very tight with limited leg room, and best of all our seats had no window, literally every other row in our section had a window. Air Canada handled this stressful event very poorly, once they figured out bringing a new air craft hours later, and everyone moved to the new gate area, all the attendants had left from their gate post until 40min before the flight which was hours later."

Spot on. Apparently such delays, understaffed gates, and failures to communicate with passengers are par for the course. Friend even predicted the free bagels AC would eventually offer at the restaurant that closed 3 hours before our flight finally left. He didn't predict the multiple announcements about assorted other flights not having functional restrooms so please pee before boarding."
Positiv: "We paid to upgrade our economy seats, so there was leg room and the seats were roomy (we were immediately behind the first class area). Service is pretty good. Not great, but pretty good."
Negativ: "The food was terrible! We know airline food is usually not great, but come on folks! I will cook spinach pie for all and bring it next time! The lunch was ok, but the snack (bad chocolate cookies) and the dinner (hot pocket type thing) were really bad and terribly unhealthy. I skipped lunch because I bought it from the airport because on the the way in I tried the meals and knew it would be bad...Entertainment was even worse! I did the AC rouge site with my iPad. The movie I chose was interrupted every 4 minutes for commercials-the SAME five commercials mind you-AND every time they stopped, the movie would start from the beginning! Ridiculous really...."

If I were travelling 13 hours on business and couldn't connect, while on business it would be a time resource wasted. You should rethink your business plan. I suspect your losing fares to different carriers. Even travelling coach I will look for other carriers to compare to on future long haul flights. Too bad, you did everything else great. Negativ: "I had a window seat which had the new dimming glass rather than the pull-down shade. I kept the window at the darkest setting, and, even so, the window was so hot you could not hold your hand on it for more than a few seconds without it burning. The heat radiated so far out from the window that I needed to keep the air vent open totolerate it. Usually, when one sits in a window seat, they have the luxury of leaning against it with their pillow as they rest. The heat made this very uncomfortable, and for me, impossible. In fact, at a certain point, a stewardess came to the row ahead of me and excused herself with those passengers saying that she wanted to check the window of that row as the person sitting there was wondering is there was a malfunction in the window because it was burning hot. I spoke up and told the stewardess that the window was unbearably hot and to try to hold her hand on it. She responded, "Wow! That really IS the hot!" She said she'd check up front. She came back saying the pilot said it was because we are on the side of the plane facing the sun. We were on that side for 8 hours!! I find it hard to believe these windows weren't researched more thoroughly under all conditions, including the continual beating of the particular seasonal angle of the sun for long overseas flights! Please take this response seriously, as it truly was incredibly uncomfortable."

Negativ: "With an hour delay out of Paris due to waiting for missing aircraft flight documents to be completed and delivered to the airplane on the holding ramp, we ended up arriving in Toronto an hour late. With only an original connection time of 90 minutes, it was not possible for me to make it thru Canadian and US customs to the connection gate. I was to learn that no other connection to a Kansas City was available until much later in the afternoon / early evening. As a result, I ended up arriving in Kansas City 6 (six) hours later than originally scheduled, three quarters of the time it took to travel from Paris to Toronto. To say the least , I was not at all thrilled having lost that time."

The main issue was that when I purchased my ticket throughout Kayak YOU NEVER SPECIFIED THAT I SHOULD CHECK MY BAGS 45 MINUTES EARLY OR I WOULD LOOSE MY FLIGHT. Customer service was not great. I was flying to see my daughter graduate, and the only time they could get me out was when the graduation started. No hotel vouchers were given for the delay either, so the airport bench ended up being the bed. So I ended up being stranded in Newark for an additional 8 hours to just miss her graduation."
