Something you usually get in business class but a first for me in economy. They also came around several times during the flight with water/juice, and snacks. Entertainment was ok. A mixture of newer movies available."

Food a bit limited. 2 main meals for this flight (lunch/dinner) - chicken or pasta for the first one and beef or pasta (again) for the pre-landing meal. Also the attendant didn’t know the translation of the pasta dish from German to English so that was a bit disappointing. One thing to note. I flew Hamburg to Frankfurt to connect to the San Francisco flight with a 1 hour layover. You need to go through passport control in FRA and then I hustled to get to the gate. They were boarding as I arrived but maybe 10 minutes later and I would have missed my flight. No issues with the airline just a cautionary note on the layover time. I would likely book an earlier connecting flight to give a bit more time."

She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

British Airways is significantly better."

Bordpersonal war sagen wir mal nicht unfreundlich, mehr aber auch nicht. Höflich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam ist anders. Der Flug ging von Berlin. Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "That they didn't really stop long enough for me to ask for a snack. They asked the other side but as I was on the window seat, I couldn't seem to get their attention."

The lunch was ok, but the snack (bad chocolate cookies) and the dinner (hot pocket type thing) were really bad and terribly unhealthy. I skipped lunch because I bought it from the airport because on the the way in I tried the meals and knew it would be bad...Entertainment was even worse! I did the AC rouge site with my iPad. The movie I chose was interrupted every 4 minutes for commercials-the SAME five commercials mind you-AND every time they stopped, the movie would start from the beginning! Ridiculous really...."
Negativ: "Couldn't move. Had the seat in front of me so close I couldn't use my computer to do work. Had I known I wouldn't have brought it."

Negativ: "Departure lunge has bizarre layout. Most seating is in cafe's. No separate seatin area for boarding meant a melee around the gate blocking th path of people walking passed. Premium Economy seats were hard and uncomfortable, meals were below par and the entertainment system sound was shot. I tried three seats and each were unintelligible. Crew was less than stellar."
Positiv: "The price for the flight was right. Nothing can be done about the seat size. Food was ok. Comfort of seats ok. Not easy to recline. The etertainment helped me fall asleep, a Good Thing. Crew was pleasant, helpful."
Negativ: "Pearson Airport is a miserable experience for travelers. Security there is very badly managed. Long, long long lines of people waiting without reasons given, getting lost because signage is poor, unable to understand the English of the employees, weeping exhausted children and innumerable check points for showing documents. GET ORGANIZED, Canada!"

Positiv: "Excellent flight from boarding to arrival. The flight crew performed beyond expectation. There were obvious obstacles in their way when performing their duties and customer service. What stood out as stellar was their patience in helping people where english was not their first language. When serving beverages to these passengers the flight attendants would ask what beverage they prefered. Their answers were inaudible and confusing. Attendants displayed container beverage and when it was still unable to understand their poor answers they did not give up. Finally it was understood they would like hot tea, and i noticed they performmed beyond expectation. These asian passengers would clogg the isles for attendants by going to the washroom and visiting other friends on this flight creating serving obstacles. Frankly, I prayed for the attendants when they were climbing over seated passengers and appeared orientationally lost from their seats on this flight. You would think it was their first flight; but then the flight attendant would appear, and in classic manner would ask - Can I help you? I am comforted by the displayed patience, ability to take punishment from disfunctional riders who failed to notice how other passengers behaved and how professionally the crew operated from beginning to end. I always prefer to fly with Air Canada. Thank you!"
Negativ: "Jamming the middle seats of the flight with late arriving asian passengers who would have been better off seated together."
Negativ: "I called to change my flight to an earlier time in the day. The customer service agent told me it would be $1000 to change and another agent told me it was free same day flight change with business class tickets. I was told the flight was wide open for seats and when I arrived at the airport it was over sold by 8 people. I had to waste $3000 in business class tickets and book on West Jet to return home. Airline is a joke and I would never fly with them again."

The food was not good either. They served what was supposed to be a warm chicken wrap but after two bites I set it aside as mystery food."
Negativ: "By the time the food arrived at our seats the protein version was no longer available. This happened on the flight to Paris as well. A customer complained about a small child and the child and parent were moved to behind my seat. After an hour of the toddler kicking my seat I asked to be moved to any other seat on the plane. Was told too bad, nothing they could do. Spent the 8 hour flight being kicked and listening to yelling."
Positiv: "Since it was a very short flight from LGA to Toronto, I had no complaints, The worst part of the experience is dealing with the customs procedure at Toronto Airport before the flight but I guess that was only to be expected"

Negativ: "Lay out design of terminal, nearly missed initial flight to Copenhagen from Toronto- due to no assistance to navigate through terminal, needed ride but only wheel chair available, but not in time to catch flight. Toronto to MKE- The 5 gate changes, and watching 2 previous flights 40 minutes late with multiple gate changes, plane with flat tire and gasoline leak, not confidence building. Plane very small,tightly seated in back row without ability to recline, directly across from bathroom in which the door kept flying open and a women emerged to state some issue with toilet."

Negativ: "Air Canada Oversold my flight, the process of reaching my destination was incredibly painful and uncertain. For example -at one point an Air Canada service representative provided me with a ticket for my original flight with a seat assignment however when I tried to board the aircraft the gate agent confiscated the ticket and then destroyed it advising that I was not supposed to get a seat. Air Canada gate agents and check in staff were visibly struggling with the computer booking/reservation system at multiple points throughout this process. For example - at one point my bag was checked on a flight that I was not on and the gate agent openly expressed disbelief and concern that it was happening outside their control... very concerning."

Negativ: "Cons: They moved the gate THREE times! We had to walk all over the airport because they were so unorganized. The seats were VERY uncomfortable. It was difficult to sit for even a few hours. There are no snacks unless you pay. The entertainment touch screen is of poor quality."

I stepped off that plane to my connector to Paris when boarding was suppose to start but that plane was on an hour delay. The food is just horrible, anyone who has flown knows this, and on both flights first class was the only priority. They got to everyone else when it was convenient. This was my first time flying with Air Canada and will certainly be my last. I'll happily pay a little more for the other airlines. So if you fly with them, good luck to you."
