As it is a long flighg, would appreciate if flight crew regularity asks passengers if they would like refreshments
There is not much good to say. Boarding process is time consuming, food should improve a lot and entertainment choices are limited and outdated.
Paid full SQ fare but return trip was on scoot and without any entertainment and no given choice for food.
They need to have a restroom in that big room that they seat you in before boarding.

Negativ: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Comfortable flight and before time arrival was excellent overall
My luggage was delayed because the flight arrived late and I almost missed my connecting flight to Atlanta. My luggage was delayed and it took 3 days to receive my luggage once it arrived in Atlanta. The baggage department is horrendous and non-existent. I did not get a call, I had to go to the Airport and wait for manager to board a flight, waited 3 hours and then they got my luggage for me. I understand staffing issues but there should be a better process for baggage services.
I had an exchange ticket from Qatar airways, which meant I had the boarding pass for the Alaska airways flight. It took 40 minutes to get me and another passenger onto the flight because it didn’t have us listed as a passenger on the flight.

Die First Class von Emirates ist sagenhaft. Kann ich nur schwerstens weiterempfehlen. Die Kabinen, Toiletten/Duschen, das Personal, Essen und Onboard-Unterhaltung wird man nur schwer toppen können.

Food: Chicken with peppers average, no good taste Drinks: had to broken cups, one on the top (changed that), one at the bottom with a hole in it. Red wine spilled all over my trousers and pullover. Shit happens, but (a) what about the quality of the goods and (b) how does the crew handle this? Crew/Service: Generally friendly, but the guy who served the red wine had no clue how to handle this: 1. Red wine on cloth is bad to clean 2. After I complained about a possible problem with cleaning and the possibility that the stain would stay, no reaction, only sortiere and the Recommendation from him was to use soda water which was actually not at hand and took him more then 10min to bring it. 3. I requested for the supervisor. She was very friendly and took my email address to write a report on this. I am now waiting for reaction and possible refund for cleaning or more. Another drink was offered but that was all until now. So I am curious about the reaction from Emirates. Overall it seemed like Emirates has a bad standing in BKK: - Bus boarding on B777 - No clear information about gate - Bad quality of material (cups) - For Emirates under average food quality Additional remark: The following connection flight from DXB to DUS, was very good, overall quality as expected from Emirates, food and staff was very good. So the above review from BKK -> DXB might have been an exception."

A long flight could not be made easier"

Insufficient leg room better trip on my return mostly because of the plane, it was smaller and better seats..it was a 380"

Positiv: "There was clear communication at the Gate Lounge as to why the plane was delayed, what was being done about it, and what to expect. The crew also tried quite hard to be helpful whilst on board the flight."
Negativ: "The cabin seemed tired overall, not very comfortable and lacking in newer amenities such as USB outlet, charger, wifi. The food was terrible - barely edible I would say. I was not offered an alcoholic drink throughout the flight and when I requested a wine, it never arrived. The trolleys seemed to be piled high with rubbish."
Positiv: "The in-flight entertainment was packed full of recent big movies. I was travelling with my partner on separate tickets due to us having different final destinations. The Qantas staff was able to re-arrange our seats together for the long flight over the Pacific. We also got to celebrate New Year's twice, since we crossed the International Dateline."
Negativ: "I was not a fan of the A380 prior to my flight, and was even less of a fan after. The boarding in Melbourne was chaotic- for some unexplained reason, Qantas felt the need to quarantine the seating area around the gate. This led to a minor stampede as all 5,000 passengers thought the flight was boarding. The Qantas staff at Melbourne, from the check-in desks, to the boarding crew were all apparently over-whelmed. It wasn't any better upon arrival at LAX- the baggage area was chaos as our arrival apparently caught the LAX baggage handlers by surprise. I had a four-hour layover in LAX, yet still managed to miss my connecting flight after an excessive delay getting our checked bags, the line through customs, and rechecking in through the TSA - and that was WITH an expedited screening pass."
Positiv: "The service on flight was excellent. Attendants were very helpful and professional. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, especially for an international flight. They were also very helpful with seating when it came to putting me and my partner next to each other and in seats with extra legroom (we did pay for it so I guess it was expected)"
Negativ: "Customer service over the phone was HORRIBLE! I waited almost 2 hours on the phone and got NOTHING accomplished! Purchased my seats online, then got a notification saying it didn't go through. Called to fix the issue, but the man on the phone put me on hold for almost an hour! Only to accidentally put my partner and I in different rows. When I complained at the lack of professionalism from him over the phone, he offered some sort of compensation. When I agreed, he transferred me to his supervisor who said they do not compensate in any form! So why offer it then?! I then called the reservation department like I was told to, and they said they would look into the issue and call me back. This was about a month or two before my flight, and even though it's been a week after my flight, I have yet to get that call I was promised (nor the compensation). WORST PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! As for the flight, my only complaints are the messy boarding process and the uncomfortable seats in economy. Although you can't really expect more from old planes such as these."
Positiv: "registration was easy and well organized. Kosher food was perfect and served timely. Crew was polite and helping immediately. Everything was comfortable, except the quality of earphones ."
Negativ: "The food was terrible. By the time the meal cart came to ou row, all the got meals was out and we have no choice and was served with the cold ham salad that looks like left overs, both my son and I lost our appetite looking at it. The crew didn't apologize and gave the impression that we either take it or too bad. Won't be recommending this airline."

Negativ: "Transiting from One flight to another in Taipei is no easy task. Signage is poor watering lounge features giant rocks for seating and I found out later that there is a proper lounge downstairs. No signage in English to tell you about the seating downstairs. Poor selection of food in terminal. we have to pay for WiFi and when you get it, it's very slow."
Negativ: "A bit scary on the landing. Something, maybe the tires, screeched something wicked."

Negativ: "Even booking 3 months in advance, we could not select the seats. Our seats were assigned while checking in. Thus our family of 3 had to sit apart from each other."
Negativ: "Airline somehow cancelled our spot on the flight without us knowing, only found out when we were doing the checkin at the airport. What followed was an hour and half of international phone calls to try to sort this mess out. Ended up with us having to go to an airport an hour away to catch another flight so we don't miss our trip. Terrible terrible experience and stressful."

Negativ: "My daughters audio didn't work at all in her entertainment system and my audio was really terrible. We did expect to watch movies and was unhappy that the audio wasn't working on a business class flight."

The most negative part about this flight is the 10hr delay in Taiwan. Sleeping in the airport for 10hrs isn't easy and fun especially after a 13hr flight. Overall, not a good experience as I hoped it would be."

Negativ: "Was not notified that my flight was cancelled. Remained on hold for over 2 hours as I had to beg and plead with China Airlines to find and place me on another flight that was not days after my original arrival date. Did not get any form of an apology or upgrade for the stress and inconvenience caused by the last minute cancellation. Positiv: "777. Things I liked: On-board service was good. Food: OK, nothing to write home about. Onboard electrical and USB outlets nice!"
Negativ: "Things I disliked: Boarding. I got my seat assignment weeks early, back of the plane and aisle, Boarding Zone 1. Check! Once at the gate, specialty groups boarded first (small children, first class). As the were boarding (LAX), the throngs lined up willy-nilly. The gate agents did not call for boarding by zones, all the passengers boarded together (mixed zones). This is a recipe for disaster. I was one of the last persons to board, and by the time I got to my seat (back of the plane), all the overhead bins were full (folks in the middle of the plane could not find overhead room, so they marched to the back and took my space). Had I boarded by zone (#1), I would have gotten to the back early. F/A's struggled greatly to get everyone's carryon stowed overhead, but a number of us had our carryons stowed many rows away from our seats. Also, the bins were so full, that they were dangerously heavy, and even the F/A's had to have help in closing them. Great! We were discouraged from opening the overheads in flight (near-constant turbulence). Great! Can't get at my stuff during the long night flight (its in a bin way in front of me, and we can't open the bins). Entertainment unit on the seatback. The system is fine, but its touch-screen, and my 'touch' screen was not accepting my inputs very well (had to touch them half a dozen times each). There is no remote control (handheld). Never watched anything, as we never were given headphones. Use your own headphone, you say? Where does that bad boy plug in, I say? That kind of thing should be explained in the pre-flight video, possibly. Blissfully I slept thru a good chunk of the flight."
Positiv: "Definitely good value for money and I had flat bed and comfortable sleep. Crew was friendly and helpful but feel somewhat lacking in general sense of professionalism as compared to airlines like Singapore Airlines."
Negativ: "Nothing much to dislike and I would definitely use the airline again."
Negativ: "Something must be done about how far a person can recline their seats. I'm a '6 with long legs, the flight to Taipei was 13 hours. The guy in front of me reclined his seat all the way down. Flight crew was helpless."
