At boarding, Instructions over the loudspeaker were not clear and the video screens contained incorrect information about boarding. At one point the agent came out and yelled at everyone to "get out of line!, we are not boarding yet". I have never seen this process handled so poorly and I fly quite a bit."

The staff sat in the back gossiping the entire time and looked offended every time I came to ask a question or ask for something - they would get silent and just sit there, like I was interrupting an important conversation and so I even offered to get my own stuff. Ridiculous! What happened to customer service? The food is HORRIBLE! Worst food I have ever had on a flight, and I flew to 8 countries this last year, so that says a lot. I'd recommend only eating food you bring, or just starving yourself."

I called and thankful I was up at the desk so I could tell the agent what to do from the lady on the phone! Lost a day on our already short Christmas visit with family. Would love a refund!"

Wide attendants are too used to there jobs and just plow through aisles bumping anyone a bit too close to the walkway instead of moving sideways. More concerned with corralling bodies and going through the motions."

Negativ: "Canada Air website was malfunctioning, could not check-in, pay for luggage etc. the night before. Said I had an horrible seat when I paid for preferred. 45 minutes on hold only to be told my seat was indeed preferred. Computer problems with the website, she said. Got to check in counter the recommended 3 hours early, no one there till 6 am. Then the check-in desk's computers were all malfunctioning. another 20 minute wait. Plane was small and very old. Didn't know those planes were still in the air. Not good in general for flying. the windows leaked condensation, the computer controlling the flushing of the toilets failed 45 minutes out from our destination. They did get it working just before we landed. The plane had some problem before takeoff and left late, landed late. I WILL NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE AGAIN. Kayak, you need to end your partnership with them."

Since this was a weekend trip we would have had to turn around and get back on a flight back to SF a few hours later. I called and they didn't even offer the option to refund the ticket! I finally got us on an alternative flight leaving earlier after waiting for 30 minutes to speak with a supervisor because the person I initially spoke with had no power to do anything to help. We ended up flying Alaska Airlines on the way there and I wish we had originally booked through them because the way back was AWFUL. They wouldn't seat my partner and I together because we were flying Economy class, which they reminded us of repeatedly when I complained. The agents claimed they had no power to do anything because of the computer system which randomly selects your seats. I asked what about people traveling with small children and they didn't seem to have an answer. Oh yeah, that's another thing. As if we got a better deal than with any other airline out there after all the bag fees. The Economy class/the majority of the people flying have no carry on allowance. By the way, when we got on the flight we were able to sit next to each other because the seats next to us weren't even occupied. Ridiculous. Never flying United again. I've been bumped off of flights and had bad experiences before but this was the last straw for me."

The zipper of the suitcase was partially undone as the suitcase came off the carousel and a hairbrush fell out. They gave us a coupon for $20 buck to eat dinner at San Francisco airport upon arrival but of course no restaurant is open at 2:00 am."

Negativ: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."

Negativ: "Der Flug wurde um 6-7 Stunden verschoben, so dass ich keinen Anschluss Flug mehr hatte um nach Hause zu kommen. Der Service vor Ort war sehr schlecht, es hatte viel zu wenig Personal. Ich hatte einen freundlichen Helfer am Schalter, aber sein Supervisor hat mich dann ohne zu Fragen einfach irgendwie umgebucht, z.B. ein Tag später, dann mit Übernachtung irgendwo. Die Flüge am selben Tag wurden zuerst gar nicht berücksichtigt, bis ich dann online selber gesucht habe. Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"
