Insbesondere sehr schlechte englische (!) & deutsche Aussprache (abgelesen, aber nicht gut). Dabei gab es Personal, das besser Deutsch konnte, aber die Chefin wohl eher nicht. Gepäckausgabe: einige wenige Koffer kamen innerhalb weniger Minuten, danach dauerte es 15 Min oder länger, ehe der Rest auftauchte. Ein Koffer erlitt einen Sprung, vermutlich durch Wurf/Sturz aus mehr als 1 m Höhe."

Freundlichste Betreuung während des gesamten Fluges. Wegen der Kaschmir-Krise wurde der Flug umgeleitet und dauerte ca 40 Minuten länger. Wir konnten den buchstäblich erstklassigen Service also länger nutzen. Die Flugbegleiterinnen hatten in der Ausnahmesituation alle Hände voll zu tun. Wir haben uns trotzdem bestens betreut gefühlt."

Negativ: "We were able to upgrade to a business class seat (row 1) just 2 days before the flight since we had put in a bid a month before to do so if it was accepted. Honestly, the seat DID NOT EVEN RECLINE, NOR DID IT FEEL VERY SPACIOUS! I felt very taken advantage of to only have access to that part of the plane giving us more leg room for $200 upgrade for each seat. When does a Business Class seat NOT recline??? At least my flight attendant was kind enough suggesting that I let the airline know about my unhappy experience."

Negativ: "Lufthansa flight from Florence to Frankfurt was 45 mins late, so a large group of passengers had 30 mins to transfer from plane to bus to terminal to security to gate on other side of airport. They offered no assistance other than to say run, which we did the whole way. When we reached the gate less than 5 minutes after scheduled takeoff they said flight was closed and next flight was 18 hours later. Not one passenger successfully made the transfer. It took over 2 hours to get hotel and food vouchers, and we were forced to stay in airport Holiday Inn with now sweaty clothes and no luggage. Everyone was furious, and the entire incident could have been easily avoided in many ways, including by delaying the flight 5 mins or by providing passenger transportation at any point in the 30 minute transfer from the Lufthansa A arrival gate and the Lufthansa Z departure gate."

Positiv: "We were traveling from IAH gto FRA with two dogs. One in a crate and one in a small carry on dog bag. Lufthansa handled the process very well. They expected us at the airport, helped us through the entire checkin with a smile, helpful information and care. They brought us and our dog to TSA and after boarding confirmed that our dog had been loaded and safely taken care of. The cabin crew also checked on us and our in cabin dog. I don't know any other airline that makes traveling with a dog so easy and pleasant."

Negativ: "Had a connecting flight, both were with Lufthansa. There was an hour between the two flights. We went straight to security and immediately to the boarding gate but they had closed the gate and would not let us board, even though there was 15 minutes before the flight was due to leave. We were refused a refund and had to move flights to another airport 2 hours away and then had a 5 hour delay. We lost our car reservation as we would arrive too late to collect, we also couldn't check in to our hotel as planned as the hotel only allow check in until 11pm; we would have got there at 1am, so then had to book another hotel for the night. Airport staff at Lufthansa told us they could not help and told us to go away!"

Positiv: "Priority boarding for parents with children was a huge help. Provided extra blankets and most of the crew's friendliness was very appreciated."
Negativ: "Provided bassinet is much too small for even a 17 months old. Also very hard bedding made it impossible for the kid to sleep. We observed same with the other parents. Alone with that, the height of the bassinet makes it easy for the kid to get distracted. WORSE PART: Our daughter couldn't get comfortable to sleep and got fussy, so I took her for a walk which didn't help much. Since it was bedtime 11pm with 0 to little traffic, and to avoid her crying from disturbing everyone I resorted to one of the bathrooms with her. She did fall asleep for about 1 hour until one the FA came literally BANGING on the door. Very rude even after I calmly explained the situation. So sorry for such people with no compassion nor understanding in their hearts."

Positiv: "Nachdem der Personalveranwortliche an Bord die Überforderung der einen Flugbegleitung festgestellt hat, ist er sofort mit eingesprungen und es wurde alles besser, schneller, freundlicher und entspannter erledigt."
Negativ: "Im Gegensatz zu meinen bisherigen Flügen mit der Lufthansa in der Business Class war diesmal eine Flugbegleitung für 12 Passagiere alleine zuständig, was bei zwei Kleinkindern und einem "anspruchsvollen" Passagier bereits zu einer ansatzweisen Überforderung geführt hat (Essen und Getränke wurden äußerst zeitverzögert gebracht, Schwimmweste und Anschnallgurt für Kleinkind wurde in zwei Gängen gebracht und der Gurt erst kurz vor der Startbahn der Mutter übergeben. Eine Whiskey Sorte war nur für ein Glas vorhanden und war bei einem rund neunstündigen Flug binnen 15 Minuten vergeben. Äußerst ärgerlich, wenn die gebotenen Alternativen keine sind."

Negativ: "Von drei Flügen auf der Strecke Bali-FRA war einer von Lufthansa ausgeführt und der einzige verspätete gewesen. Leistung - OK, mehr kann ich nicht sagen."

Negativ: "Entertainment system in my row didn't work correctly. Flight delayed due to weather. On board announcements said Lufthansa would rebook passengers with connecting flights and tell us arrangements as soon as we landed. No sign of Lufthansa reps at arrival gate area and zero directions on where to go. Had to walk miles through Frankfurt airport , go through immigration and security again without any direction one where to find Lufthansa and when finally found Lufthansa service counter it was understaffed with long lines and confusion. By time we learned rebooking, we almost missed rebooked connections. So much for German organizing and efficiency."

Positiv: "The crew onboard the flight was very friendly and accommodating! They did their best with what they had. I also like that there were diabetic and vegetarian meals offered, although the diabetic meals should ideally focus on lower carbohydrate totals. Fruits and breads can pack just as much sugar as sweets."
Negativ: "Starting with the boarding area at LAX, there was some really high pitched siren that kept going off over and over which no one seemed to care to investigate or do anything about. It was very irritating, and seemed to put lots of passengers in a bad mood before the plane even started boarding. Then when they announced boarding was beginning, everyone got up and created massed around creating four chaotic lines. It was a mess. We left 45 min late, which caused us to run to make our connecting flight because the person at the gate never told us it was also going to be leaving late. The plane itself was extremely uncomfortable as well. I'm 5'8" tall and that's mostly torso. I fit easily in the back seat of my buddy's mini Cooper, and I could barely fit in the space without my legs hitting the seat in front of me. That was before the guy in front of me put his seat back and made it so I could barely reach under my seat. Then there was the control panel for my personal video monitor. The panel was located on the armrest in just the right spot where Everytime I put my hand down I accidentally pressed a button to call the flight attendant, or turn the video screen on off, which was really obnoxious when I was trying to sleep and kept accidentally turning on the bright screen which woke me up. The video monitors we're also touch compatible, but the screen was horrible about registering finger presses which led to the lady in the seat behind me smashing the screen as hard as she could repeatedly with her finger, which vibrated all the was through my headrest so I could feel it as if she were trying to get my attention. There was also no air flow above the seats... You simply had to rely on the flight attendant to set a temperature that the whole cabin enjoyed, or you had to suffer silently. Finally, the reading lights on the plane we're so high up that turning one on lit up all the seats around you as well, which meant you had to choose to either sit in the dark and not read, or turn on your light and read quietly while the people around you cursed your name while attempting to get some rest."

Negativ: "This flight from Athens was delayed which caused us concerned for our connecting flight in Frankfurt to Los Angeles. We told the crew and they were not very empathetic about our concern. It would have been great to have announced overhead or even to us personally all the gates to those of us who were getting connecting flights. We were just told to check the board outside once we landed. Lufthansa could have provided excellent service to my family if they had helped us with our connecting flight gate information to navigate the airport terminal we had never been in before. We literally ran to get our connecting flight which was upstairs once we identified the gate # by ourselves."

Positiv: "We were greeted by cookies upon entering the flight. I liked this experience. for a 45min flight everything else was as expected."
Negativ: "having to climb up 6 stories with carry on luggage isn't fun. Some elderly people were struggling, caused everyone to slow down. I'd have taken the elevator if I had known we had to walk all the way up. Regardless, my expectation of German airports and German engineering is high, but things we take granted in US like escalators are a luxury in Germany and clear directions are missing... on the oncoming flight we had to wait for a door to be unlocked while everyone was stuck in the aisle way and stairs.."

Positiv: "Once again, the in-flight crew was excellent. The flight was good, but no entertainment is provided."
Negativ: "Another late take off, probably because the incoming connections were late. So it was good that the airline delayed the connecting flights. However, this leg of the trip was so late that I barely made it to third leg of the trip. A huge problem is that each of these international airports require that you go through the security check again. For that reason, connecting legs of trips through these airports should not be scheduled so close together. Heathrow is the worst, with security staff that, at best, don’t care that you have a close connection to make and just ignore your pleas to speed up the process, and at worst, are just plain rude."

Negativ: "Notifications for Change of Boarding Gate is not very effective. It is dependent on internet connection and may lead to missing flight connection. It happened to me, in spite of the wifi connection at the airport. Some airlines would put up an electronic notification for the change at previously known Gate. It's also possible to miss Airport voice messages due to temporary impairments travellers suffer from the previous flight. You can call out a passenger for all you want and still miss passing out the message."

Positiv: "The crew was very friendly as always."
Negativ: "I didn't like having to wait on the plane for 5 hours while the plane was being worked on while still on ground at Denver International airport. I really didn't like that once arriving in Frankfurt International airport and missing my connecting flight I was provided a voucher for food that was worth 10 euros which wasn't enough to get a meal only a snack. I read an article on the plane on how well Lufthansa Airlines is doing and how much money they made but yet they have been giving the same amount on vouchers for a very long time."

Negativ: "First, Lufthansa lost our baggage from Hamburg to Los Angeles. Then, the delivery company (Direct Courier Services) Lufthansa uses was completely inept and unprofessional - every single one of their employees is a complete moron. We didn't end up getting our baggage for two and half days so we were wearing the same clothes that we left Germany with. Then, after being told by Lufthansa customer service to submit receipts for clothes we had to buy, never got reimbursed or even the courtesy of a reply. After flying Lufthansa for over a decade, will never use this airline again. Epic fail."

Positiv: "Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, sehr freundliches Personal, pünktliche Flugzeiten"

Positiv: "LH hat adäquate Gepäckbestimmungen mit ausreichenden 23 kg Check-in Gepäck, eine professionelle Flugabwicklung und viele Annehmlichkeiten, wie Mitternachtssnack auch mit Wein oder ganz ordentliches Frühstück für das Ende des Nachtflugs. SMS / E-mail Benachrichtigung über Verspätung ist vorbildlich, allerdings nützt einem das wenig, da die show up Zeiten eingehalten werden müssen, d.h. statt 3 Stunden muss man bei einer Stunde Verspätung trotzdem zur gleichen Zeit erscheinen und damit 4 Stunden warten."
Negativ: "Online check-in in Mumbai war äußerst holprig und Bordkartenausdruck ohne Vorankündigung "due to administrativ restrictions" verboten. Widerspüchliche Aussagen machen es nicht leichter, man braucht ja einen Ausdruck um überhaupt ins Flughafengebäude zu dürfen. Anstatt um 2.55 Uhr nachts dann eine dreiviertel Stunde Verspätung. Am Online bagage drop off äußerst zurückhaltender Service. Der elektronisch gebuchte Sitzplatz wurde nicht auf der jetzt ausgestellten Bordkarte übernommen, sondern ein willkürlicher, weit entfernter Platz. Die Dame am Schalter konnte auch keine nebeneinander liegenden Plätze für mich und meine Frau buchen. Das sollten wir mit den Passagieren ausmachen, die würden vielleicht tauschen. Und ein Blick auf den Sitzplan, das ist leider verboten. Bei so einer Kundenorientierung kommt die Lufthansa üblen Billigfliegern gleich. Vielleicht sind dort die Flightattendents jedoch weniger hochnäsig."

Positiv: "On time, punctual and efficient. Just what I would expect from Lufthansa."
Negativ: "This was a 747, but in economy they've configured it with newer 10 across rows like they do on the new Dreamliner, which I hate. These new seats are much narrower in width (not ideal, but fair enough, the airline wants to maximise capacity) and much harder to sit on for a long haul flight (much less ideal, after a couple hours, the seats were just plain uncomfortable, by the end of the flight really unbearable). The food (pasta) was not particularly good and not to the usual standard I expected for Lufthansa. Staff were efficient, but not particularly friendly. To be honest, I've had better flights in terms of comfort on the likes of Ryanair and Thomas Cook."
