Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

After boarding we waited on board for over a hour before take off , during which time someone was duct taping the inside of the plane together and I sat on a broken seat . The single flight attendant refused to take trash from people who didn’t finish their beverage . While the plane was reversing there was a huge bang and the plane shook as if we hit something . I observed gate agent repeatedly tell customers that she couldn’t help them find out if their flight was delayed and to just look at the computer board ."

As we were waiting for our flight, we heard the agents call the final call for a flight to Chicago. Truly disgusted with Air Canada - will never fly them again!"

Negativ: "There's only one choice for refreshments, unless you count the cracker-amd-nuts machine. The seats are terrible. The assumption seems to be that no one waits long, but the experience proves the opposite, as wind, construction, security clearance for flight crews and who knows what else (any excuse will do) creates delays of more than an hour for people who end up standing along the walls and sitting on the floor waiting. Again, crews and ground staff for AC are not able to give accurate instructions or guidance for boarding flights. That airport is a mess."

On the whole AC is just, well, better than average and a great outlook on the people perspective."

The bilingual announcement was done incoherintkyin both languages absolutely not professional Crew was nice except an Asian/Canadian flight attendent. It's a less than adequate experience even for a officially second tier airline. Why does Canada put out an embarrassing product like this airline ? Shame on them !"

Negativ: "They had known about a mechanical issue all day and did not notify anyone until 1 hour before departure. They ultimately had to get another plane but only after >4hr delay. Seems to me like delay could have been avoided or at least predicted so we could have made appropriate arranements. Big domino effect of inconvenience on the last day of the year makes for very bad experience."

Negativ: "Air Canada has a policy where they will automatically put you on stand by if you do not check in an hour before your flight time. This policy was not stated in any of the emails we received. We were put on stand by and then removed from a flight we had paid for and checked in to."
Negativ: "Too far distance to get to immigration there was no assistants otherwise the flight was good"
Negativ: "Boarding was slow and chaotic because of the number of passengers bringing oversize carry-on bags, presumably to try to avoid the checked-bag fee. The overhead bins filled up early, and passengers squabbled over the available space and objected when flight attendants told them they would have to gate-check their bags. The aisle was congested and blocked for long periods of time as people tried to fit their bags into the bin, and the plane left the gate more than 15 minutes late because of the slow boarding. There were about 100 people on the flight, but only about 20 at baggage claim (including at least two family groups), another indication that the checked-bag fee caused passengers to bring oversize carry-on bags. The overall rating for this flight would be significantly higher if it weren't for the boarding process."

Negativ: "Passengers over a certain size should get two seats or the airline should install special seats for them. Why I or anyone else should have to endure being crammed in next to someone exceeding his seat size is indefensible."
Negativ: "On both outbound and inbound trips (connecting with international flights) the flight was late. Both times the door was closed and then they informed us of the delay. I understand that smaller planes often get bumped, but on the outbound leg, a 20 minute delay on the tarmac and then not allowing us to deplane for another 15 minutes meant I missed the connecting flight."

Negativ: "The boarding process at the gate. There were 8 or 9 gates crammed into a small section of the airport. Literally packed in like cattle and getting to the gate for departure was a nightmare, people had to shove and push through the crowd. Not a good experience!"
Negativ: "I paid to upgrade seating and on other airlines you get priority boarding and can store your bag in the overhead bin. Not the case with air canada...not great customer experience compared to delta or united."

Negativ: "The Montreal airport is a zoo. I hoped it would be better than other places because it's smaller, but it wasn't. And I didn't fill out the correct customs form. The crew said that we should request a form from the USA if we were Americans, so I did. I have filled out that form many times, so I felt fine--until I got into the Customs area of the airport and learned that I needed to fill out a Canadian form too. So I had to do that before picking up my luggage. You would think that an Air Canada crew would know which forms I had to fill out and give them to me or at least ask questions so that I could be prepared when I went into the incredibly complicated maze to go through customs."

Negativ: "Seats are wildly uncomfortable and cramped. I guess that is what you come to expect from flying, but man does it suck. Longer flights, over 4 hours, should include a complimentary snack. It is a long while to go without food, and paying 5 bucks for a small pack of candy is a bit ridiculous."

Negativ: "Although the flight to Canada was fine, the ordeal to try to get back was awful! So apparently Air Canada makes up whatever rules that they see fit but doesn't make you aware of them until too late. In Canada, the "International" terminal is not for every country, but for every country EXCEPT the US...I didn't realize that the "Air Canada English" is its own language. Also, they will resell your seat arbitrarily, without any previous warning and have no problem stranding you in a different country, forcing to pay exorbitant change fees. If you try to straighten the situation AFTER the entire fiasco, the only recourse is a random email. I would not only NOT recommend this airline, but I would stay far, far away from using Air Canada!"
