Flight was overbooked. Crew did a great job but passengers weren’t nice and really not patient. Flying in these times is not the best idea tbh.

Ich hatte eigentlich das Niveau eines Linienflugs erwartet. Bekommen habe ich aber Billigflieger- Niveau. Das man für die Bordverpflegung zahlen muss, ist schon schräg. Das Stille Wasser und die 20g Schokoladentafel kann sich Lufthansa dann auch noch sparen, um den Gewinn richtig zu maximieren😡. Da kann man auch gleich mit Ryanair, easyJet oder sonst einem Billigflieger reisen.

There was a 2hr delay to an 8:40 departure. SUPER irritating. Had chosen an earlier flight so that these kinds of things wouldn't happen. Breakfast was poor a croissant and a yogurt. Not enough for an adult, I've had better on other international flights.
Zunächst wird bei der Lufthansa eine gegenderte Drohung ausgesprochen, nämlich, wenn die Gäste die Maske abnehmen sollten und sich den Anweisungen der Crew widersetzen sollten, würden die polizeilichen Organe am Bestimmungsort informiert. Das bringt schon mal "gute Laune" in die trotz 9 Mrd. Steuerzahlerstütze unveränderte Kabine. Die sieht dann auch so aus, als ob sie seit der letzten Stilllegung wegen Corona aus Kostengründen nicht mehr gereinigt wurde. Die Businessclass ist ohnehin eine Zumutung, nämlich die gleiche Bestuhlung, wie in Economy, nur mit einem leeren Sitzplatz dazwischen. Lufthansa sollte sich einmal ein Beispiel an Turkish Airlines nehmen, die die Zeit des Lockdowns genutzt hat, um für die Gäste ein Upgrade in Ausstattung und Verpflegung zu organisieren, die ihresgleichen sucht, aber bei der Lufthansa sicher nicht findet.
Negativ: "Hygieneplan scheint nicht vorhanden zu sein. Boarding ohne Abstand und aussteigen unter chaotischen Zuständen. Reihen werden zum Ausstieg aufgerufen, obwohl der Gang noch völlig blockiert ist mit anderen Passagieren. Anti Covid-19-Maßnahmen scheinen hier noch ein Fremdwort zu sein. Sehr enttäuschend und beängstigend. Andere Airlines (Swiss) sorgen für ein besseres Sicherheitsgefühl."

Negativ: "The back of the seat should have better storage. Was not good at all. Some flight attendants efficient but not friendly."

Negativ: "The flight 2nd flight from Frankfurt to Boston was significantly delayed for a variety of issues, and ( though not really within Lufthansa’s control) the security at Frankfurt was easily the most disorganized & poorly run situation I’ve ever encountered. There was almost constant interruption for announcements at the outset, with information that wasn’t necessary & actually made waiting for an extra hr + more frustrating. I give the crew/staff credit for doing their jobs well enough that it still managed to be a decent flight in the end."

Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "Boarding took way too long. Typically an airline will ask people to voluntarily check their overhead luggage free of charge if they know it's a full flight, not on this flight. Instead, they tried to get everyone to board with luggage in hand, then once they realized there was not enough space they asked people to hold on to their luggage while they came through the plane to tag it and stow it below - very inefficient and made the boarding process crazy as people tried to make their way around luggage that was sitting in the aisles."

Positiv: "While I've ranked the crew as poor, that isn't a reflection of the entire crew. The flight crew and check-in team were fine, the boarding I have as mediocre due to delay, but I don't put that on the staff."
Negativ: "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."

An hour later, they announced the flight was cancelled and we were briskly escorted out of the terminal, told to go through customs and pick up our luggage, which had never even made it on to the plane. They were not re-booking flights at the airport, and the phone lines went to a voice mail message telling us to call back in a few days. I was stranded in Toronto with no phone and no where to stay. It's a week later and I still have not heard anything from from, even though I've called and emailed and sent snail mail."

I just couldn't believe that in 2017 there are allowed airplanes in such poor condition in the air. Also, I was traveling with 2 children and the airline didn't accommodate me at all. Many seats were empty and they put me in a full row. I had to sit on the floor for 8 hours so my children could stretch and sleep and the fly attendant didn't even bother to ask how I was doing but they would frequently bumped into my children's feet in the aisle. Also, a passenger's seat behind me fell apart. I could write an essay about this airline. Never again!"

I really liked the built in screens (& headphones) and entertainment programming made available to us."

This is not a whine about hardship - I was just continuously astonished that I'm still walking! It was amazing! The slightest delay on your incoming flight and you're sunk with that much travel time in between... In this day and age...basically making a US to CA domestic connection is better done through another airport. -Cheers!"

Also when we are delayed for the airlines fault - customers should be given something - anything - a small voucher, or even a drink ect., this is not a weather issue. I think airlines have too much power making most terrible at customer service - air Canada is one of the worst ones."

Negativ: "The flight was fine, but when I got home, I had two charges on my credit card from Air Canada. When I called, the woman didn't know what they could be for, so she told me to email Air Canada flight feedback. I still haven't heard from them."
Negativ: "My boyfriend and I were flying from Toronto to Salt Lake City, we didn't pay for assigned seating (because who really wants to dish out extra money for something as silly as that?) and thought that it just meant that we still had seats on the plane and they just might not be next to each other which was fine. We did online check in and having our tickets sent to our phones (his worked fine and mine never came through, yes, we triple checked to make sure my phone number and everything was correct). Both of our tickets ended up saying the seat was GTE so when we got to the terminal (two hours early) the moment an employee was behind the counter we went up to talk to them and they said that we would get a seat on the flight and that it wouldn't be a problem at all for us to sit together. Right before they start boarding an announcement is made that the flight was overbooked (by 8 people!) and they were asking if anyone would be willing to give up their seat and receive compensation (no one would). So, all 8 of us had to go up to the same snarky man who had told us that we WOULD be getting seats and have him explain to us that the next flight isn't until tomorrow and we had to go to the Air Canada customer service desk to get the flight plan figured out. We had to wait 2 hours in line just to talk to someone who tried to make Air Canada out to be the victims (how dare we not want to pay $40 for a seat and because of our frugality poor Air Canada now has to compensate us for the inconvenience AND get us new plane tickets, we should feel so bad for them because they are now losing money). We had to wait for about 40 minutes with this lady because she was either new or not competent enough to figure out how to get us new tickets with Delta (guess why Delta? because Air Canada had already overbooked the flight out for the next day too! Looks like they'll be losing some more money). Oh yeah, she also scolded my boyfriend for having his plane ticket on his phone, because it inconvienenced her. That lady finally left and we finally got help from someone who actually knows what decent customer service is (shout out to Michelle Khan at Air Canada). She was really nice and understanding and was actually able to go through the process of getting us tickets and in a timely manner. She explained that while it is a complete joke, by law flights are allowed to overbook their flights by up to 10% of seats available on the flight. We could understand overbooking by a couple, but really, 8? Never fly with Air Canada."
