In my case I had several electronic items which I had to carry onto the aircraft and store awkwardly which created a major risk of my camera and laptop being damaged in the process. This is not the kind of service I expect from Qatar Airways, especially considering the exorbitant ticket prices."

Arranging an alternative (through Rome & onward by late evening) was done , but no one was at the transfer desk for an hour."

Inflight service was beverages , followed by hot meal ( 2 choices Chix or Beef ) hot beverages post meal followed by another beverage service pre landing."
Negativ: "Because the Egyptians like it hot. The cabin temperature was really hot and the leather seats didn't help . It seemed like they did not have all the air pacts on .Very little airflow at the individual air vents. They prepare the cabin for landing way to early and you must have the window shades up which is painful with the hot sun beating on you through the window ( safety card is only so big)"

They treated Vegetarian food as Vegan food (although it was specified as vegetarian), so there was no butter, no yogurt and nothing but boiled vegetables and fruit salad. Hard to sustain oneself with that on a 12 hour flight! I asked the flight attendant for yogurt who just ignored my request."

Ist Egypt Air nun eine religiöse Institution oder wollen sie eine internationale Airline sein??? KEIN BUSINESS CLASS GOLD TRACK! Negativ: "They seemed to run out of chicken as the dinner meal, when they got to my the flight to Cairo from NY they also ran out of chicken, the person next to me got the last one, the same thing happened to me on the way to NY, the person next to me got the last chicken, i was kind of upset but the other option of beef was still good."

It was chaotic, with people struggling to find which line to be in. There was no visible guidance from Ethiopian ground crew. Eventually got in line. One guy checking boarding passes for both business and economy. Very slow with again no crowd control. Children were not given priority. Eventually many people went through business queue while others had been waiting in economy. Ground staff were standing around watching and not helping or communicating. Poor show from Ethiopian!"

A crowd of people boarding for two different planes just rushed the gate area. I’ve got no idea how everyone ended up on the right plane. My flight was never announced I had to keep going up to ask over and over. The bathrooms at the airport are unhygienic and the available food is abysmal. On the plane was better except that the only entertainment is over head screens that didn’t work my overnight flight was miserable as the lights were on the whole time and they repeatedly woke me up to eat throughout the flight. I’ll do what I can to avoid the Addis airport from now on."
