Negativ: "This is a big airport for transit passengers. Even if you had a boarding pass for your connecting flight, you needed to get in line to get another one. That took an hour and a half. If you needed a transit visa because of a long layover (China Southern offers accommodation) you needed to go through a second procedure which was arbitrary and chaotic and took hours. I got my transit visa in 2 1/ 2 hours (4 hours after getting off plane). In another hour I was at the very nice hotel provided. China Southern staff had assured me I didn't need to get to the airport particularly early, but the hotel staff required I leave 3 1/2 hours before my flight. With a 15 hour layover I was able to get 3 hours sleep. I saw people who had been in the transit visa area for up to 7 hours. Nothing else about these flights mattered at that point."
Positiv: "Transfer was handed well between domestic and international terminals, but not a moment to spare. Cabin crew was attentive and highly professional. The announcements were handled well. Will fly them again!"
Negativ: "In Guangzhou there was just enough time to transfer between flights. If there had been a delay, I would have easily missed the connection. The connections at Guangzhou involve multiple gyrations of shuttles between terminals and immigrations, etc. There was an opportunity to upgrade the cabin while boarding, but was not well announced or implemented. I would have welcomed the chance to upgrade."
Positiv: "Guangzhou airport crew Helped us to change domestic flight Guangzhou-wuhan to international flight Guangzhou-wuhan-San Francisco so we can come back to SF on our schedule. My son lost his homework folder in the aircraft. A crew called me back to let me know he could not find it."
Negativ: "Guangzhou to Wuhan flight was changed to afternoon without notifying us so we could not connect the flight to San Francisco. I did not know Guangzhou to Wuhan was domestic flight and needed to check out luggages and check in luggages in Wuhan until we arrived in Guangzhou airport. We were lucky we could change to international flight Guangzhou-Wuhan-San francisco. Otherwise we could not come back on time. It's horrible. The ticket did not state we need to check in/ check out luggages twice and guangzhou-Wuhan is domestic flight which always changes schedule without notice. We won't buy this type of flight anymore."

I don't think the person that I was talking to did not seem that interested in helping to resolve the problem. Kinda frustrating, but I booked the wrong flight, so I am to blame for that."

Positiv: "I love the amenities provided by this airline. They give you pillows, blankets, headphones, and magazines. I love the attentiveness of the staff. They provide drinks, meals, and snacks during the scheduled time. If you need something else, then they are happy to help you. The staff really helped us with the temporary visa process during our layover in Wuhan!"
Negativ: "My entertainment monitor was not working during the flight to Guangzhou. I listened to music on my own device for entertainment."

The customer service representatives were rude and not helpful. I ended up having to get a refund. I flew with Korean Airlines and had a great experience. I'll never consider using them again."
