The plane was of course late leaving Malawi and when I arrived in Nairobi, the plane was getting ready to leave. The customer service line had +20 people in it. I waited my turn then the agent said it was my fault that I missed the flight and the next flight would be $243 USD instead of $90 like the gate agent stated. Then they told me I had to pay the $243 in cash and they didn't accept credit cards. All of the ATMs were broken there. I returned to the agent and they did accept credit cards, they just didn't want to go to the office to swipe it. The entire ordeal took +4 hours. Worst customer service ever."

Positiv: "After a bit of confusion in ADD airport, we reached the terminal where my connecting flight was leaving from. Terminal 1 of ADD airport should be avoided at all costs! Boarding and the flight crew did a admirable and top job and made the difference for me."
Negativ: "Terminal 1 Disgusting. Rundown, embarrassing, chaos everywhere and no real sense of security. No police or security presence. You could just walk right into a gate! I was shocked to see this especially being from NYC. If you can avoid Terminal 1 do so. The seats were DISGUSTING! Dirty, warped fabric seating was dirty and caked on. Smelled and many seats were visually broken. I'm glad I brought with me some Clorox wipes to wipe my area down with. You get what you pay for but wow! I would not spend my money on this airline again."

Negativ: "Flight from U.S had frequent meals, flight to Ghana had a sandwich and meal, and the time in between the two was extremely long, after been up extremely early to depart. It would also be awesome to have Ethiopian meal option, like injere"

Positiv: "Children running up and down isles screaming while I was trying to rest. I had to go to the rear of the plane to ask the stewardess to bring it to a stop. They should have stopped it BEFORE I had to ask them to stop it."

Though there were slight delays due to technical checks at boarding time, everything else was on schedule and we even landed slightly ahead of time, never a bad thing. The flight was smooth and quite pleasurable. Now we are prepared to experience flying with Brussels Airlines again."

Negativ: "1) They left our luggage at Brussels, the lost and found desk in Venice that handles Brussels airlines was unmanned. Took 40 minutes to talk to a person. 2) Although promised to bring the luggage on the next day, only brought 2 days after! We had to buy some cloth and still waiting for response from them. 3) We almost missed the connection flight (we had almost hour and a half) because the line for connection flight security was enormous and only 1 person worked in the security. Not only that we were rushed by the crew to RUN (!!!) for the bus, that was ridiculous ! We could fall and hurt ourselves."

Positiv: "As if our flight from Washington to Brussels was not delayed enough, the flight segment to Accra from Brussels was delayed for almost 2 hours"
Negativ: "Almost everything about the trip was impacted one way or the other. Our luggage/bags were partially damaged too, but I decided not to lodge an official complaint."

Negativ: "Switched plane from Brussels to United which saves us 3hrs but then they lost our luggage. This was after we asked them to double-check. They told us that our luggage had been logged-in to our new flight. We are very disappointed in Brussel airline and will not use them again."

They walked up and down the aisle with aerosol spray cans. I don't think people should be subject to unknown chemicals in order for the airline to save time on cleaning the cabin before take off."

Negativ: "I had problems checking in online and never could assign seats.. had to wait to check in at the booth and got random seats so my husband and I got seperated seats.."

Negativ: "As everyone seems to already know, the food and drink is really not very good at all and they didn't provide enough, especially considering that I was delayed by two hours in total in this trip."

Negativ: "I'm very disappointed because i wasn't allowed to travel back to the US from Brussels (Belgium). i was supposed to connect in Toronto but because I'm a foreign student in the US, I wasn't aware that i needed a Canadian Visa to transit in Toronto. so lost my flight and i hard to spend another thousand euros to catch the next flight that will connect in the US territory. I made all the call possible to resolve my flight issue and no one could help me either Brussels airline personnel or the kayak customer service. until today i didnt have not even a email to let me know what happen."

Negativ: "I never boarded Brussels airlines. United Airlines put me on TAP or TP which I did like. But my luggage wasn’t forwarded until the 15th dec. Brussels had many natural disasters. My problems I believe were with either United Airlines or Swissport Luggage department"

Negativ: "We missed.our flight and no one would work with us to reschedule or refund even a partial refund. We missed out flight due to terrible traffic and now we are out $2500 this is terrible."

Negativ: "The flight left 50 minutes after it was scheduled to leave. We were sitting on the hot aircraft the entire time because the crew would not turn on the air. In addition, the host and his service was terrible. When I asked him for water, he told me that I could find it at the back of the flight and I should go get it myself. The other hostess on the other side was handing out waters to whoever needed it. When a passenger sitting next to me asked for a spoon to eat his meal, the host shrugged his shoulders and didn't come back with one. He was blatantly rude and ignored his passenger. We were also not given blankets on an 7-8 hour flight. It was only on request. People who had requested one were then asked to fold and return their blankets (they were not asked kindly) before landing. The selection of tv, music, and shows on board were terrible as well. Barely any selection. Needless to say, this was the worst service I have ever had on an airline."

We had a transfer in Brussels where some how the tags on the bags were not there and we were without a luggage for 5 days. I feel that the Venice airport claim was horrible as they seem to misplace luggage alot and on our transfer flight they fave us the wrong carousel. The service on the plane was great. But that was it."
