"AA is not responsible for customs/security delays". Well, your customer service agents would have a lot less work if you didn't have to reschedule 100 people per flight. The time the plane drives/parks at the gate, you get off the plane and make it through customs, get your bag, recheck it (if need be, we didn't this time though), get through security and get to your gate, you'll be the luckiest person in the world to do that in less than 90 minutes."

After landing we were finally told that we would have to deplane, and after we sat around the gate for awhile we were informed that the flight would be delayed until 5 am. Being 12:50 am at this point a hotel would have been nice, but we were informed that AA was "out of hotels" but that if we wanted we could have a $12 food voucher to use at the one restaurant that was open several terminals over. The AA employee assisting in handing out the food vouchers seemed extremely unapologetic about the situation which didn't help with the frustration everyone was feeling. I will not be booking with AA again, and will be passing along my negative experience to family and friends. It is worth spending the extra money on a ticket for an airline that is more reliable with better customer service."

Negativ: "When I arrived to my seat, the overhead compartment was full. I had no room for my carry-on. I mentioned it to the flight attendant. He just shrugged and told me to put my carry-on under the seat in front of me. So, #1, I guess some people bring more carry-on and the staff lets them. And #2, I guess it wasn't tight enough in those seats and even though I'm over 6 ft, the staff had to make it tighter. Also, when it was time to land, I thought my seat was all the way up. It was not fully all the way up. I was half asleep, and all of sudden, instead of telling me, one of the flight attendant pushed on the button to raise my seat. I would've appreciated him telling me. The landing was delayed, but that's no ones fault at rouge. I am trying to be as objective as I can. Hopefully, when (and if) someone at Air Canada-Rouge reads this, he or she has enough "pull" at the company to ask the proper authorities:"what kind of company are we? Are we a bargain basement flight company that offers just basic flights for extremely low prices? Or are we an average flight company that offer great value for the money the customer pays?" Because, from my perspective as a customer who is at his second experience with Air Canada-Rouge, the feeling that I get from flying with you guys, is that your company offers basic flights that doesn't offer great value for the money. It's more a company that "plays on both fields", taking what suits them, and leaving what doesn't , regardless of their customer. I understand that a company has to make money. It's normal. But, at a certain point, don't you have to think about your customers? To be honest, the only reason I flew with Air Canada-Rouge is that I was stuck with no other choices but to fly with you (schedule, cost, etc.) And I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. The feeling that I get, is that your company counts on customer like me. Customers that are "stuck", with no other alternatives. If your company wants to offer many "cheap direct flights" like Ryanair and Easyjet offer in Europe, I have 2 suggestions: #1: lower your prices. #2 :your staff should be more customer friendly savvy. Because those 2 companies, that's what they offer. Always remember: you can put a lot of maple syrup on a pile of sh***t, it still won't taste like pancakes. Thank you."

Negativ: "Not everyone travels with a portable computer. Upgrade your fleet to provide free in flight entertainment that you don't have to download an app for. Who wants to watch a movie on their tiny smart-phone screen? I'm not a five-year-old."

First the passport process (easy) then there is this confusing process where we need to see our names in green on the screen, with some staff telling us to move on while others insist that we need to stay back and wait for our names to go green on screens that keep changing. Good idea and intentions to help clear bags, and can be improved. Overall the Montreal to DC flight (with the exception of the awful Montreal airport and the long delay) was excellent."

Positiv: "After having pad an extra $100 for my seat reservation, I was comfortable in my extra leg room seat in a full flight on a newly configured, even tighter economy class setting. Flying is becoming increasingly like riding a bus but while tightly fitted next to one traveller, one can easily be stuck in a four seater arrangement in the middle. Welcome to the new cargo class. For all customers wishing to continue to enjoy the former economy class three seater arrangement with almost no elbow room are requested to upgrade to the newly named "premium economy class". Soon business class will become the once newly introduced premium economy. On a separate note, I flew on an Austrian Airlines flight, and not Air Canada. On Austrian one doesn't have to pay for food, headsets or a blanket when you're cold and the crew is usually more welcoming, which makes the overall experience a positive one. I would have no hesitation to recommend Austrian Airlines--as long as they don't follow suit with Airlines where old planes are reconfigured to hold up to 100% more passengers cramped in a tight space while charging for everything while you're on board. And if you're waiting to see a welcoming smile, it was on another airline."

Die Flüge am selben Tag wurden zuerst gar nicht berücksichtigt, bis ich dann online selber gesucht habe. Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"

Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

Bordtoilette war alt und schlecht gepflegt."

Positiv: "We were boarded and sat on the ground for 3 hrs. while they "downloaded the entertainment". Then we were deboarded so a new flight crew could be brought on board. Arrived at 2:30am instead of the 9:30pm original time."

Negativ: "They switched flight numbers and did not inform passengers. A huge group of us missed our flight and they told us they could not help us and that we would have to go to the service center, who's line was INSANELY long. The next flight I was booked on was 5 HOURS delayed, so I missed my other connection. I was forced to sleep in the Houston airport, as United was not willing to help. I got on a flight the next morning, but they changed the gate/terminal 3 times, so I was forced to shuffle all around the airport on no sleep. Finally got my flight out, after another delay. I will NEVER fly United again and I will be sure to spread the word."

Positiv: "So first scheduled flight canceled., I broke land speed records and paid an additional 50 dollars to get booked on an earlier leaving flight. Boom it was cancelled as well. I'm attempting to fly out at creak of dawn today! Still not home! United had alot of work to do! !!!!!"

Positiv: "Sehr effizientes und schnelles Boarding. Pünktlich"
Negativ: "Effizienz beginnt beim Check-in/Baggage drop off: Check-in nur per Automat. Man muss selber den Gepäcktag ausdrucken und am Gepäck befestigen. Gepäck kostet 25$. Außer einem Getränk ist keine Verpflegung an Bord vorhanden. Bei einem 3,5-4 Stunden Flug nicht so prickelnd. Entertainment-System – zumindest auf dem Hinweg – musste man zahlen. Keine Serien etc. for free. Mein Fazit: Fliegen in den USA ist für den Europäer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dabei sind die Preise für die Flüge nun nicht ungewöhnlich günstig, als dass das die ganzen zahlungspflichtigen Services rechtfertien würde..."
