Positiv: "This direct flight from Zurich-Newark is pretty comfortable, especially if you get the two seats at the either sides of the plane (it's a 2x4x2 config in Coach). The food is really good, they are generous with drinks and the crew is really friendly and smiling! Would take this flight again without any reservations in future!"

Only complaint would be that on the way to the plane (we had to take a bus) we were packed in like sardines and it was very hot. The other person in the row had to get up to allow me in and out and I still had to make sure not to pull on the seat in front of me just trying to get up out of the seat. Thankfully, I only had to get out twice through the whole flight."

We called your customer service, and a recording stated that we would get a reply within 48 hrs. We contacted website customer service and it stated that we would get a reply within 48 hrs. We needed immediate assistance from a HUMAN BEING to change our reservation, that was impossible. We were forced to purchase new tickets, the cost was $2,500, we had to stay overnight in a nearby hotel, the cost was $220. We are returning one day later than planned all because we could not reach you."

Negativ: "Horrible. First, we lost a suitcase. It could happen but for two days they did nothing and only told us stories (so as not to use the word lies). Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

Positiv: "Endlich wurde man auch mit andoggen zum Terminal gebracht (ist bei KLM offensichlich eine Seltenheit), weil wir eh Verspätung hatten. Und da das Weiterflug-Gate direkt in der Nähe war, konnte man den Flieger auch ohne erneute und unnötige Sicherheitskontrolle erreichen. Allerdings gab's auch keine Passkontrolle. Mir sollte es Recht sein."

Negativ: "Einchecken in Birmingham eine Katastrophe. Lange Schlange und Wartezeit von mindestens einer halben Stunde beim Boarding. Es wird schon der Final Call ausgerufen, während die Passagiere alle in der Schlange vor der Abfertigung stehen. Und dann bei strömendem Regen zu Fuss zum Flieger, weil er nicht andoggen kann. Alle nass ins Flugzeug. Aber, das liegt natürlich an der Abfertigung in Birmingham und nicht an KLM."

There was a disgusting stench of sewerage for the complete flight from Amsterdam to Johannesburg. This was in all likelihood due to the broken toilet on the left side."

Negativ: "Unable to pick seats in advance,, were assigned seats that did not recline for 11 hour flight. One bathroom not functioning. Very limited movie choices for inflight entertainment. Seat belts much shorter than other airlines, so very confining, unable to loosen to relax in any position other than sitting straight in seat. In Rome had to check in & go through security at Terminal 5 then get bussed to Terminal 3. Only airport where we had to take out all electronics, including converter plugs, headphones, etc, place in a flimsy clear plastic bag ( that broke ) to go through security. Line to check bags pretty slow for number of passengers. Glad we had plenty of time."

Negativ: "I usually fly Air France CDG-BOS and love it. My flight AMS-BOS with KLM/Delta was a disappointment from those experiences. The food was not very good and I'm not a huge fan of planes so old that my seat is a flotation device rather than having a real life jacket. Also part of my checked bag was broken off during transport."

Die Koffer haben extra gebucht werden müssen, was sehr teuer war. Der Flug selber ist angenehm verlaufen, abgesehen davon, dass es nicht einmal ein Trinken gab."

Negativ: "Hinflug VIE-DUB: wurden nach zwei Stunden Wartezeit im Flieger gebeten den Flieger wieder zu verlassen auf Grund von Technischen Gebrechen. Flug wurde auf den nächsten Tag verschoben wodurch wir einen ganzen Urlaubstag verloren haben Ersatzflug am nächsten Tag hatte wieder über eine Stunde Verspätung - Grund: die Crew war nicht rechtzeitig da... mussten ihren Gesichtern nach zu Urteilen ihren Rausch ausschlafen Heimflug DUB-VIE: mussten wieder 2 Stunden aufs Boarding warten, mindestens 5 mal wurde das Gate geandert und wir bekammen nur mangelhaft Info warum und wann wir den starten würden... wurden immer wieder um 15 oder 20 Minuten vertröstet. Dann war die Maschine endlich da, Boarding begann und wurde aber bei der Hälfte wieder abgebrochen, alle mussten wieder raus - wieder ein technisches Gebrechen am Flieger (war wohl wieder der gleiche Flieger) Wieder wurde versucht es herzurichten, weitere knapp 2 Stunden Wartezeit bis dann endlich eine Ersatzmaschine da war. In Summe wieder fast 5 Stunden Verspätung bei der Heimreise. Ich fliege viel, aber so etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. NIE WIEDER mit AirLingus!!"

Negativ: "Picking up a stroller is always a pain with Aer Lingus. When you gate check a stroller it should be returned at the gate when you deboard. Sometimes it's near the front of the gate and other times it's by oversized baggage claim which is really painful having to carry a little one through the airport. Plus, it takes a good 30-45 minutes for the stroller to appear if you're lucky. In Paris it took 70 minutes after we deboardes. Aer Lingus needs to follow other airlines by returning the stroller as you deboard."

Negativ: "Where to start??? Checking in process? Well this sucked. I wasn't able to check-in online and thus couldn't ever pick my seats. This meant getting a horrible seat on the plan. When I asked about this, I was told they are having issues with their online check-in process. Next the seats on the felt were very tight. They felt as bad as American Airlines domestic flights. I typically try to take European airlines when going to Europe as they tend to have more spacious seats but not this airline. They were VERY SMALL! Entertainment was ok and fairly typical. As for food on the plane, it was ok but they are extremely stingy with drinks. They charge for alcohol and will only offer a tiny fountain drink once. I've been on flights where soft drinks are always offered everytime they come around. was disappointed in this area as well as many other airlines offer significantly more. All in all I will do all I can to avoid this airline in the future. It was very poor."

Negativ: "Because we bought seats from a third party vendor and not directly through Aer Lingus, we had terrible seats (right across from the bathroom) on both long flights. We could not check in on line until 2 hours before the flight and the seats available to us were single seats with no options to change. The AL staff at the airport told us that we should have booked through them directly but as you know the flight prices would then have been several hundred dollars additional for each. Seats were SO CLOSE, way too close for a 6+ hour flight Crew allowed passengers to drink alcohol until they were totally inebriated, which was unpleasant for many of us"

We were flying at night, and they kept EVERY light in the cabin on for the duration. I don't know why they needed so much illumination to push a cart up and down the aisle for the few people willing to pay for beverages."

These are NORMAL seats and you charge an extra €30? - Normal (2 seats per row!): what a bargain. Same crappy seats, but two people instead of three! This is really worth my money. - Upgrade to business! Why are you so poor! AF food went from being the best in international flights to disgusting microwave food (especially vegetarian)."

Negativ: "The Delta staff were unprofessional. Checking phones while people boarded, handed unopened beverage to 2 unknown strangers to pour themselves and share. We're "joking around" amd jobial in a manner that was unprofessional. Food was hot but overlooked and pastry was "steamed" so chewy."

Positiv: "Crew was truly excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Food and drink was also very good indeed by today's standards for economy travel."
Negativ: "Space in the seats is tight, as it is on all airlines and all flights, for a grown man. This is notably difficult on a transAtlantic flight because of the duration."

Positiv: "The in-flight meal was very good. The flight was much quicker then I expected, but there a lot of turbulence for much of the flight. Most of the flight attendants were very nice."
Negativ: "We were put in the last row of seats, which don't recline, though the row in front of you reclines into you and you are trapped. One of the flight attendants was rude when we were trying to deal with our child who had vomited. CDG (Charles DeGaulle airport) is poorly laid out and poorly run, in my opinion, starting with the landing of our flight. After waiting over a half an hour after landing to de-board, we were given much information In trying to get to the proper places to check certain baggage items, and we walked up and down and around a whole terminal trying to get to the proper gait. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this airport. Thankfully, the flight itself after that horrendous experience was good."

Positiv: "We have 2 hours delay on boarding time and further 2hours delay after boarding waiting for refuelling. Yet no compensation given . If we lateach for boarding , we will missed the flight but flight delay we dint get our money back. Not fair !"

Negativ: "When checking in and checking bags there was an issue with them locating the second leg of trip. We had tons of info on kayak and tripcase and the first leg they had but not full ticket numbers for second. Drama. A supervisor fixed but it was a panic. Why?"

Negativ: "Staff was a bit grumpy Food was terrible. Serving of water during flight was non excisting"

Positiv: "Snacks on a budget flight was a pleasant surprise."
Negativ: "Boarding time was long especially the walk from the boarding desk to the flight."

Positiv: "Flew Flight 76 from CDG to LAX business 1G. Seats were ok. 2-3-2 configuration. This plan has not received the upgrades the CDG to JFK leg has. Food options were ok, the food itself was garbage. In flight entertainment was pathetic. Cabin crew was not great either. All in all, wouldn't recommend Air France to a friend or family. Too many other good options out there."

Positiv: "The efficiency and helpfulness of the staff who got us on the next available flight after the one we missed due to the long wait at customs."

Positiv: "the staff's courtesy and efficiency."
Negativ: "The food was pretty awful. My main complaint is the four and a half hour wait at Customs in Atlanta. 4 officials aren't enough to service around a thousand passengers. That meant we missed our connection. While I know it's not the airline's responsibility, it is part of the experience and meant we were exhausted."
