I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."

Finally at 10:40 they announced that the flight would be delayed, even though we had figured it out by then. At 11 the flight crew showed up. They offered drinks to the 2 people flying "business class" (they were just sitting in the front but amongst the economy class seats) at the very beginning, but then waited to serve everyone else, but as it was late, most people were already sleeping. We arrived an hour late."

They did and the matter was eventually resolved, and I am awaiting my bags now at the place where I am staying."

THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."

I had an important meeting for early the following morning and if my bag did not arrive, I had no business clothes for the meeting. I could have bought some new cloths but since I was TOLD my cloths would be arriving by 1-2:00pm and be delivered by early evening, I thought that not necessary. I believe I was told that so BA"

We booked expecting to take the early connection if we could get thru customs early enough. We did, asked for boarding passes and were told it would cost $150.00 to take the earlier flight...so we sat for more than 3 hours waiting for our connection, after buying over $2,000 in airfare, traveling for 24 hours and seeing a partly empty plane leave Charlotte for Knoxville. We were the given the back two non reclining seats on the flight, even though we had booked weeks in advance...so no we felt very let down at the end of a difficult trip."

I got my bags on the day I was scheduled to leave. They had no way to track my bag and offered me $50. I had over $7000 of gear in the bag and I lost my $2600 deposit for the hunt. Not to mention the time a way from work where I just sat around in the bush doing nothing. On the way home, they lost my bag again. No one ever came to customer service desk and I had to call a number to India who was zero help. Terrible experience. Never fly Air Canada!!!!!"

Not sure how 1) you overbook a flight, and much less 2) give a seat to a crew member over a customer."

Although the attendant made eye contact me one of the times she made no intervention on my behalf. - my return flight was in short: neglectful and arduous. I probably wouldn't recommend Air Canada after a flight like that."

Negativ: "Our flight departed from the gate late and then needed to return to the due to a door malfunction. After a 4 hour delay we were on our way. Bathrooms were closed before takeoff but no announcement was made that they would be open during the delay. No beverages were offered during the delay. Not all of the bathrooms were functional during the flight. The entertainment system is available through your iphone, ipad or computer. If you haven't downloaded the app prior to departing you can't use it and you then need to rent an ipad for $10 to watch movies."

Negativ: "-They wanted to check my bag at the gate, so I let them, and they lost it, for two and a half days, all the while being rather smug to me about it, saying things like "what do you want me to do about it." -On a 6 hour international flight starting at 9:45AM and landing at 6PM they did not offer us even a pretzel or peanut. This flight definitely spans lunch hours, but they insist you pay for even the smallest snack. -Customer service has been repeatedly short with me (I have had other incidents with lost luggage). They act like whatever happened could not have been avoided, and that you should know your place as a traveller. The idea of the customer being right is totally lost on them. CONCLUSION: they simply don't care. This airline was a monopoly for years, and it shows in their daily operations. They are ineffective, and entitled, and I will go far out of my way not to deal with them again."

Negativ: "The flight had two legs: from Boston to Toronto and from Toronto to New Delhi. The layover was 1 hr 6 min, which was tight. After checking in our bags, we found out that the first leg of our flight is 2 hours late, so obviously we couldn't take the second flight. Looking at the TV monitors, I noticed that pretty much ALL Air Canada flights are seriously delayed. Luckily, there was an earlier flight to Toronto (which was scheduled to have already left, but it did not leave because that was delayed, too). The staff put us on that flight and double promised to make sure that our checked in baggage gets transferred to this alternate flight. The checked bags did not get transferred. When we arrived at Delhi, after an exasperating 1.5 hour delay after a 20 hour flight, the airline told us, and many others in the same situation, that our baggage did not arrive, and we have to come the next day to pick them up. The issue was, we were not staying in Delhi, just transiting through it. No luck, the airline said, because the customs have to be cleared at the port of entry. We are still waiting for our baggage. Oh, and if that was not enough, the airline allocated well separated seats for all the members of our family. I'd think it would be a common sense that people who have been booked on the same ticket must be assigned consecutive seats. But apparently Air Canada does not have much common sense. NOT flying with them ever again!"

Positiv: "After having pad an extra $100 for my seat reservation, I was comfortable in my extra leg room seat in a full flight on a newly configured, even tighter economy class setting. Flying is becoming increasingly like riding a bus but while tightly fitted next to one traveller, one can easily be stuck in a four seater arrangement in the middle. Welcome to the new cargo class. For all customers wishing to continue to enjoy the former economy class three seater arrangement with almost no elbow room are requested to upgrade to the newly named "premium economy class". Soon business class will become the once newly introduced premium economy. On a separate note, I flew on an Austrian Airlines flight, and not Air Canada. On Austrian one doesn't have to pay for food, headsets or a blanket when you're cold and the crew is usually more welcoming, which makes the overall experience a positive one. I would have no hesitation to recommend Austrian Airlines--as long as they don't follow suit with Airlines where old planes are reconfigured to hold up to 100% more passengers cramped in a tight space while charging for everything while you're on board. And if you're waiting to see a welcoming smile, it was on another airline."
Positiv: "Very kind and helpful staff, from the gate to the pilots to the attendants. I was traveling with a fragile vintage saxophone, and the staff was very accommodating in helping me board and stow the instrument safely. I hope my return flight will be as good."

We were dressed for the winter up front and people in the back were comfortable. It was ridiculous. Mind you this was a tiny plane 1 seat on the right and 2 on the left so not a lot of room to stand and move around."

Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"

Her flight was missed booked to leave after mine, I attempted to rebook my flight with Luthansia but they would not let me me even partial rebook. I attempted a number of times to rebook the flight but their solution was extreme financial gain for them when more reasonable alternative could have been arranged. They canceled my entire return flight and left me stranded. I had to piece together a return flight on a shoe string budget. Thankfully American Airlines was understanding for it appears Luthansia and United are not."

Negativ: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

Bordtoilette war alt und schlecht gepflegt."

The cabin was obnoxiously bright as a result, and it was difficult to avoid being distracted and irritated by the flickering. United should have those screens turned off unless users pay for them-- it would save valuable energy too, wouldn't it? I was also frustrated that we were delayed a number of times because of mechanical difficulties, but I'm grateful that we took off knowing everything worked. Between the late in-bound crew and the mehanical hold ups, we could have all taken the bus and arrived sooner."

Dabei sind die Preise für die Flüge nun nicht ungewöhnlich günstig, als dass das die ganzen zahlungspflichtigen Services rechtfertien würde..."
