In addition there was airplaine traffic as it was "rush hour" instead of flying at 7:45 we departed almost at 9pm!!!! Have to pay for food Quality of tv monitors very poor And in an uncomfortable position No movie options No wifi although stated the aircraft has Non functioning electrical plug"

Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."

I came prepared but it was still annoying. 3. I pre-paid for a seat which was a hassle because the transaction failed with a cryptic message online and I had to call. When I went to check-in, I had a window, not aisle and was positioned at the very back of the plane. I requested a refund on the phone and that wasn't allowed so I tweeted (as they adverstise) and now filled a claim. Still no response."

So I spent an 11+ hour flight as a fairly tall person, in an extremely uncomfortable seating arrangement. I also noted my space issue with said passenger at the beginning of the flight and he still progressively went further back. I would've appreciated if flight attendants were more diligent about ensuring passengers are comfortable for long flights. Food accommodations were ok but they go heavy on bread for whatever reason."

Negativ: "Durch die Verspätung unseres Flugs nach Madrid mussten wir mit unseren 2 kleinen Kindern einmal quer durch den Madrider Flughafen hetzen, um noch den Flug nach Düsseldorf zu bekommen. Durch die im Prinzip nicht vorhandene Umstiegszeit ist zudem unser Gepäck (noch) nicht in Düsseldorf angekommen."

Durch diese Verspätung konnte das Gepäck in Madrid nicht rechtzeitig für unseren Anschlussflug umgeladen werden, sodass wir leider ohne Gepäck zu Hause angekommen sind."

My kids asked a few times why those people were upset (regarding both flight crew as well as ground crew). Online services to request seat assignments does not work. We tried to get seat assignments over the phone, and it seems Iberia only picks up the phone if you going to purchase a ticket, otherwise forget about getting help over the phone, and/or online (email as well as website). After trying to obtain child menus over the website and phone, I drove to the airport Iberia desk to order it there two days before the flight. The desk manager was helpful and requested for us to send an email with the request, so he could set it up once the flight opened up two days before the flight. I sent out the email to find out on the flight once food service started that the request was never placed."

We are still covered. This has caused us much discomfort (including welts) well as cost to ensure these bugs did not come home with us."

I had to spend the night in a crappy room at the Ramada while others on my same flight got luxury hotels. I got a crappy $20 voucher for food that only got me crappy over priced snacks. It wasn't enough for dinner and breakfast. Since my flight was delayed I missed and lost money to the circus. 1 had purchased tickets for my 5 children my husband and I for a total of $400. The show was at 11 am and I arrived at Richmond at that time. Your airline sucks. To make it worst on my way to Aguascalientes I got stuck in Houston for the night and half a day because yall delayed flights due to snow that never happened. I had to before for food vouchers because I had already gone over my budget with the delay. Overall it was a horrible experience."

Negativ: "Der Flug wurde um 6-7 Stunden verschoben, so dass ich keinen Anschluss Flug mehr hatte um nach Hause zu kommen. Der Service vor Ort war sehr schlecht, es hatte viel zu wenig Personal. Ich hatte einen freundlichen Helfer am Schalter, aber sein Supervisor hat mich dann ohne zu Fragen einfach irgendwie umgebucht, z.B. ein Tag später, dann mit Übernachtung irgendwo. Die Flüge am selben Tag wurden zuerst gar nicht berücksichtigt, bis ich dann online selber gesucht habe. Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"

Positiv: "Not bad overall. I was exhausted at one point and passed out in my chair. I would have missed my flight if the gentleman boarding people hadn't noticed and woke me up to ask if I should be on the flight. I was out so deeply that I hadn't heard any announcements. There wasn't any food on the three flights but a cookie waffle thing and that was all I had during the 13ish hours I was on planes. The staff was super awesome and nice. Space wasn't any different than other planes, but tight on the first flight. I got lucky on the last two."
Negativ: "I was starving and literally dehydrated. I was so thirsty."

Negativ: "The delay from Cancun caused us to miss our connection. The ground crew gave no help, information, or baseline customer service. We were referred to one person after the other only to finally end up in a 3hour line at customer service where we were told we miss the ground transportation and would have to find our own way home. We rented a car from Hertz and drove to Richmond arriving at 5:30am.... very disappointing."

Negativ: "Less organized boarding of carryon items. Other legs of my travel had gate checked cartons in advance for the last boarding groups instead of just having us try to load it all first when their clearly was not enough rokkmin the overhead bins for everyone."

Negativ: "I don't think it can really be avoided when there is a leak in the plane, but its really hard to be delayed an hour for a flight that takes less than a half hour - and I could've driven that distance quicker."

Negativ: "Our flight was continuously delayed. Our layover actually took than the the drive from DC to Richmond would have taken. I also misplaced my phone on the flight and had no help when I called United looking for assistance today."

Positiv: "Die Sitze sind ausreichend gross, am Platz gibt es Kissen, Decke und Kopfhörer. Das Essen schmeckt und die Crew ist freundlich. Auf dem Langstreckenflug gab es aktuelle Filme noch Wochen vor DVD Start."
Negativ: "Das Video System hatte sehr viele Aussetzer, Touchscreen sehr ungenau."

Negativ: "They changed our gate from one end of the terminal to another right at the time of boarding and made no announcements. We all found out by text or had to be told by other passengers."

Negativ: "I arrive to Richmond, Va for a family reunion and with enough time to make the banquet. The baggage services in Newark didn't pack my bag on my flight, the next one afterwards nor the one after that. When trying to contact to see what's the issue nobody answered the phone, for a hour. The bag claim services from when I landed in Richmond didn't have a clue on how to contact Newark or to confirm my bags will be on the flight for that day. I had to do the research and find it myself while she watched a movie on her iPad. Needless to say if I could give a negative star rating I would. I missed the banquet and received my bags the next day and still couldn't get a reason from either airport on why they got left behind."

Positiv: "Overall it was a great trip. We left a little late a both connections, but arrived on time so that's good."
Negativ: "The only thing two things I'd change would be our plane arriving back the Kalamazoo on time. It wasn't even in Kalamazoo very long. The other thing I'd change would be having the two people helping with boarding speak more clearly on the intercom. I seriously couldn't understand much of what they were saying. Also, there's not much select for pop in your store."

Negativ: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

Negativ: "I flew from OKC to Richmond, with one stop in DC. After we arrived in DC my flight to Richmond was pushed back 6 hours in perfect weather. They said it was due to maintenance issues but they didn't provide us with any alternatives. I ended up taking a rental with a nice man to Richmond. A bit frustrating to say the least"

Negativ: "Effizienz beginnt beim Check-in/Baggage drop off: Check-in nur per Automat. Man muss selber den Gepäcktag ausdrucken und am Gepäck befestigen. Veraltete Sitze die zwar breit aber unbequem sind. Völlig veraltetes Entertainment System, mit gerade einmal acht Filmen, keine Pausefunktion, keine Möglichkeit zurückzuspulen, Bildschirm ist schlanke 12 Zoll groß. Bordtoilette war alt und schlecht gepflegt."

Negativ: "Multiple gate changes in Denver. On taxi the crew had a baggage door light and returned to the gate. We as passengers were never informed of anything further until just prior to top of descent into Cody the crew taxied out depart etc from DEN without ever updating pax on anything."

Negativ: "The gate agent at Newark was very strict about having the passengers board the bus to this small regional jet by boarding groups, as if the arrangement of 40 passengers on a 2 minute bus ride was that important! Meanwhile the electronic sign above the gate agent would display groups 2 and 3 when the gate agent would allow only group 1 to board the bus. When we reached the actual plane, we boarded in a "scrum" in the rain! NIce job, United!"

Außer einem Getränk ist keine Verpflegung an Bord vorhanden. Bei einem 3,5-4 Stunden Flug nicht so prickelnd. Entertainment-System – zumindest auf dem Hinweg – musste man zahlen. Keine Serien etc. for free. Mein Fazit: Fliegen in den USA ist für den Europäer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dabei sind die Preise für die Flüge nun nicht ungewöhnlich günstig, als dass das die ganzen zahlungspflichtigen Services rechtfertien würde..."
