The problem was that they calculate bus traveling time wrong in the hotel and put people on the bus next day too late, so due to the traffic jam, we barely made it to the airport, and then we had to stress the officials to put us on the fast passport control lane due to boarding time."

She would not allow us to wait for the rest of our party of 2 to go on the shuttle to the plane together. They were delayed because of your personal continually bringing other people to cut in line in front of them. There was plenty of time and the shuttle was already full, and we wanted to wait for the next shuttle to board the airplane together. She came out several times from inside of the building shouting at the three of us to get on the shuttle even when the person managing the shuttle flow at the bottom of the stairs was about to let us wait for the next shuttle. What was her problem(?) - she could use a lot more people skills and realize who pays her salary - the customers. She really tarnished the whole image and impression I originally had of TA. Also, there was no way to go to the bathroom without going through a long line of security again at the last gate before the shuttle which did not make sense."

The issue came when we tried to leave Athens the airlines then said that I had to purchase a one-way ticket! They informed me that the flight was cancelled for my daughter because she didn't fly to Athens. The ticket was almost $1,500.00 and I intend to get my money back but it was unfortunate that they had to charge me for it in the first place."

I still don't have my luggage after 14 days. No further responses despite extensive documentation and receipts. This is bad!!!"

Negativ: "Das Bodenpersonal von Lufthansa am Düsseldorfer Flughafen ist unmöglich. Beim Check-In konnte mir die Dame keine Boardingkarte für meinen Anschlussflug drucken. Sie hat eine ganze Weile versucht mir die Karte zu drucken aber sie hat es nicht geschafft, später kam Hilfe dazu aber es ging trotzdem nicht. Daraufhin kam die Aussage, dass ich die Boardingkarte für Singaporeairlines vor Ort in Frankfurt holen solle. Ich möchte bemerken, dass die Umsteigezeit nur eine halbe Stunde betrug und der Frankfurter Flughafen bekanntlich sehr groß ist. Die Aussage der Lufthansa Supervisorin in Düsseldorf war: "Sie sind jung Sie schaffen das, laufen Sie einfach!" Anschließend musste ich noch 350€ für mein Extragepäck bezahlen, obwohl es eigentlich hätte 270€ hätte kosten müssen. Nach einer 10 Minütigen Dsikussion warum es denn so viel kostet, kam als Aussage, dass ich eigentlich Recht habe, aber das System leider die 350€ anzeigt! Es kann doch wohl nicht wahr sein, dass ich eigentlich 270€ bezahlen muss und es mir auch von der Lufthansa persönlich so bestätigt wird aber ich 350€ bezahle, weil das System es so anzeigt! Ich hatte lediglich einen einstündigen Flug mit der Lufthansa und anschließend einen knapp 9 Stundenflug mit Singapore Airlines. Bei dem Flug nach New York habe ich bei Singapore Airlines 2 Freigepäckstücke. Ich habe mich ausdrücklich bei der Lufthansa informiert, ob die Gepäckregelungen von Singaporeairlines gelten und mir wurde zweimal hundertprozent garantiert, dass die Gepäckbestimmungen von Singapore Airlines gelten, da ich länger mit der Fluggesellschaft fliege. Letzendlich musste ich mein zweites Gepäckstück doch bezahlen. 10 Minuten vor dem Boarding in Düsseldorf kam die Lufthansa Supervisorin zu mir und sagte, dass Sie wüsste, warum Sie mir keine Boardingkarte ausstellen kann. Es sei so, weil ich keinen Rückflug hätte, Sie hat mir erklärt, dass ich nicht in die USA einreisen könnte ohne einen Rückflug! Das Stimmt nicht! Lufthansa bitte belehrt euer PÜersonal richtig!!!! Ich habe ein J-1 Visum für ein Jahr und darf natürlich ohne einen Rückflug in den USA einreisen! Ich wurde vor Boarding aufgehalten und habe fast meinen Flug verpasst. Diese Dame wollt mich nicht fliegen lassen und mir einen "günstigen" Rückflug von 1500€ verkaufen! Und hat mir auch gedroht, dass Sie mich nicht fliegen lassen kann, weil Lufthansa sonst eine Strafe von 60.000€ bezahlen müsse. Ich möchte nochmal anmerken, dass ich mit der Lufthansa nur nach Frankfurt geflogen bin, also innerländisch! Wenn es so eine Strafe gegeben hätte, dann müsste Singapore Airlines diese bezahlen. Später sagte die Dame noch, dass Singapore Airlines mich sowieso nicht fliegen lassen würde! Also konnte ich plötzlich doch fliegen! Letzendlich bin ich gerade natürlich in den USA und JA ich durfte einreisen OHNE EINEN RÜCKFLUG!!! Denn ich arbeite in den Staaten und kann nicht hellsehen, was in 12 Monaten ist und wann ich zurückfliegen kann!!! Nie wieder fliege ich mit der Lufthansa!!"

While our seats (located directly behind the Plus section) gave us extra leg room (I don't know why) we did not have the wider seats, food service style and menu as given to those directly in front of us. There was actuallly a barrier between them and us which hit me in the head every time I stood up! On a long flight from Munich to LAX we felt and were cheated."

Extremely narrow seats and little leg room. Felt like a cattle car. An aggressive woman with disruptive, screaming children was allowed to Torture passengers for a good five hours of the flight before the bursar finally moved her. This was after several hours of complaints from other passengers. She was eventually moved twice due to passenger complaints. The situation should have been handled after the first complaints which occurred two hours into the flight before the situation completely detiorated Food was terrible and meals ran out."

Die Cabin Crew im Flugzeug war ganz in Ordnung, Informationen über die Verspätung wurde über die Boardansage kommuniziert. Allerdings haben diese Bemühungen die Situation danach, welche ich auch zum Flug zähle, nicht verbessern können."

Negativ: "My Swiss flight from Stuttgar via Zurich to JFK was cancelled before 24 hours without explaining the reason. They should explain the reason at least. I had to take an another flight and arrived at JFK after 6 hours from the original flight. My trip was totally messed up, so I was not happy at all."

Negativ: "Our flight was delayed by three hours due to “technical problems“. We were never updated during the weight and when we were told that the flight was canceled everyone was told to go back to the ticketing area to pick up their luggage and to find other options. When we were almost halfway there we were told to turn around and that the flight in fact was not canceled. The food was mediocre at best in the service on the plane was in adequate. They were understaffed and staff to peer to be stressed and fatigued. The seats were small and cramped and not well padded in the economy section. We are going to be flying on Lufthansa in the spring and will hope that their services are better than what we experienced on Austrian air."

Negativ: "A319 is inherently a badly arranged seating layout. Was in Row 30, no recline, and 3 full grown men for a 3 1/2 hour flight. I wonder if squeezing in the extra 3 or 6 seats is a payout when looking at people's likelihood to fly again?"

Negativ: "So at first it was announced that drinks would not be served due to anticipated turbulence. No turbulence occurred so drink service began-- stewardesses did not ensure the plastic cups were attached to trolley securely and so they fell all over us and on the ground--me and some other passengers helped to pick them off the floor-- they said thank you and used the cups on the floor for passengers drinks. Um....no thanks-please get new cups!"

The Austrian Airlines lady who told me that I would just lose my tickets and that I could not even pay a penalty to avoid such thing, was very VERY RUDE!! As the Austrian Airlines did not offer me an option but losing my plane ticket,"

Es gibt keinen Gold Track. Sehr negativ: die Lufthansa Group hat keine echten Business Class Sitze! Den höheren Preis nimmt man gern, aber die Leistung ist man nicht bereit zu bringen. Das ist umso negativer, weil sich die Lufthansa Group das nur durch ihre Monopolstellung in Zentraleuropa leisten kann. Schlichtweg eine Unverschämtheit!"

Positiv: "The plane was clean, fresh looking. Flight attendants were helpful and courteous."
Negativ: "Check in at Vienna airport was awful! Chaotic, no help! Kiosk software was horrible. Touch screens didn't work. No back button so, if you made a mistake you had to start from the beginning. Passport reader was not working properly. Machines were slow and delayed in responding. Not enough staff available for assistance. Arrival at LAX was even worse. Plane had to taxi for 30 minutes all about the airport runways. Finally got to a gate -almost on the beach! Then had to bus everyone to main terminal. Slow in getting bags to the passenger pickup. It took us 2 hours post touchdown to get out of the airport! Almost missed the airport shuttle,"

Positiv: "Even though I was very disappointed at what the Austrian airline did to me, the staff and crew and captains where professional and the flight was comfortable especially on Lufthansa. However, I missed the experience of enjoying the flight with the group of people that I joined on the way to Vienna and to Egypt."
Negativ: "I didn't like the fact that they cancelled my Austrian flight to a completely different company (Lufthansa). I paid extra money when I reserved the tickets in the USA to make sure I am on the same plane as the other three families that i wanted to be with as a group. They had reserved their tickets and I got the flight numbers and when I reserved my booking I paid extra to be on the same airplane as the rest of the group. My plan worked going to Vienna and to Cairo (although one of the planes were delayed 3 hours which ruined our stay in Vienna) but on the way back from Cairo to LA, I couldn't be with the group because I left 2 hours early and arrived in LA 2 hours late. I pleaded that I came with a group but they said I have a different booking so they couldn't honor keeping me on the same plane as the group. I am very disappointed and will avoid my future travel with Austrian airline"

Positiv: "Our seats 35 A & C were comfortable as they were to the back of the plane where it narrows to two seats per side row. Seemed like extra leg room. Crew was very friendly and helpful. Flight was smooth and uneventful. Good movie choices. Bathroom was clean and nearby. Plane seemed newer Boeing model. The City Airport Transport (CAT) train from the Vienna airport to city center was fantastic. We were able to check our luggage and get boarding passes where we boarded the CAT at the metro station and did not have to wait in line at the airport...wonderful system!"
Negativ: "At the gate there was a line formed for a second passport check but it was not clear to passengers that they needed to go through this line. A significant number of us had SSSS on our boarding passes which required us to go through a second, more thorough, TSA security procedure. We had to remove shoes, take electronics including phones from cases, have purse contents gone through by personnel, be screened for residue, etc. Due to this process and the fact that we were not advised to stand in the line, a number of passengers went through the second security check at the last minute which caused our takeoff to be delayed. The pilot made up the time during the flight. I ordered low sodium meal which ended up to be the same food at both meals which was a disappointment - pasta with tomato, eggplant sauce."

We heard several different reasons, none of which made is feel better about the two middle seats we were told we had no choice but to take, while people who had NOT prepaid sat in our aisle seat. It was offensive to be forced to pay to select our seats in advance on a major international airline in the first place, and then to not have those honored just made it worse."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Negativ: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Positiv: "The second flight was on time and even though I spent the night at the Amsterdam airport my baggage was checked through so I did not have to worry about it during the night."
Negativ: "When I asked whether the snack was vegan I got the answer "It's a wrap". When I ordered tomato juice I was forgotten and did not get anything. There were no vegan snacks on each of the flight, but I guess that would be too much to wish for ;)"

Die 747-400 erscheint mir mittlerweile doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Ich empfand sie (vermutlich wars die Klimatisierung?!) als deutlich lauter als den A380"

Negativ: "Konnte nicht angetreten werden, da es ein anschlussflug war, den ich nciht erreichen konnte, da der andere flieger e1,5 stunden verspätung hatte....alles sehr ärgerlich"

Negativ: "der Flug hatte extreme Verspätung und dadurch hätte ich den anschlussflug nicht erreicht. der Mann am schalter hat erst umgebucht, damit ich zumidest zu spät aber doch zum wichtigen geschäftlichen Termin kommen nachdem ich ihn mit nachdruck drum gebeten habe. KEIN SERVICE, EINFACH NUR SCHLECHT UND ÄRGERLICH!"

Negativ: "Einchecken in Birmingham eine Katastrophe. Lange Schlange und Wartezeit von mindestens einer halben Stunde beim Boarding. Es wird schon der Final Call ausgerufen, während die Passagiere alle in der Schlange vor der Abfertigung stehen. Und dann bei strömendem Regen zu Fuss zum Flieger, weil er nicht andoggen kann. Alle nass ins Flugzeug. Aber, das liegt natürlich an der Abfertigung in Birmingham und nicht an KLM."

So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

Negativ: "I usually fly Air France CDG-BOS and love it. My flight AMS-BOS with KLM/Delta was a disappointment from those experiences. The food was not very good and I'm not a huge fan of planes so old that my seat is a flotation device rather than having a real life jacket. Also part of my checked bag was broken off during transport."

Hatte am service Gate gefragt , ob ich direkt auf den Flug nach hamburg tauschen kann - es gab freie Plätze und ich hätte einen für 622 Euro kaufen können. Warum muss das anders sein als beim Zug ? Fliegen ist wie Zug fahren . Ich habe auch mein Ticket (79 Euro ) mit der dB für eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von 19 Euro tauschen können .. und die was nicht schuld und hat einen schlechten Ruf ;) gerne flexibler werden wenn Flexibilität von Passagieren erwartet wird . Danke , dass sie das ausrichten .. viele Grüße"

Negativ: "flight # 742 canceled put in another plane, from other provider (LOT) going straight to Chicago; was not ready for it; we arrived at airport 2 hr before time of boarding and were rushed to plane going up in 45 min; very stressful; my daughter cried and we had no time to say good bays to family paid for selected seats - money not returned selected special meal - stayed hungry (8 hr fly) because they were not aware about our special needs; Finnair shold take care of it when canceling flight and putting us with other provider."

Positiv: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

Positiv: "It seems a bit unfair to rate Finnair, when the flight was serviced by Iberia...that being said - everyone seemed to be put out by any request or basic question. The movies were really good and (UNLIKE the flight from Chicago to Madrid, where i was told they didn't do that) the stewardess on the flight home didn't mind giving me a second glass of wine."
Negativ: "the people at the boarding desk in O'Hare were rude & indifferent. The flight attendants on way to Spain were non-existant The food was comically awful!!! The man at the check-in desk in Madrid could not have been ruder or less helpful (Hopefully for his wife's sake!) The food on the way home again was unfortunate.....that can NOT possibly be the best food any company can find in Spain. Hell - wed have been better off with a cheese & ham plate with some bread!!"

Negativ: "I am 6'1" tall. Seats were designed for 5'1" persons."

Negativ: "We were unable to find a row of seats to more comfortably facilitate traveling with a baby and a toddler as seats that should have had a cot or extra seating didn't have the cot and were sold out for an additional fee before we had the chance to. Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."

We get to the airport at least three hours early because of stuff like this, but the incredibly slow line and unorganized way of handling it ate any of the time I'd looked so forward spending at Heathrow (I love hitting Boots etc)."

It was a good thing that I had bought sandwiches before boarding. Return flight LHR to LAX was on BA and the main course of chicken and mashed potatoes was substantially larger and tastier."

Positiv: "Very friendly crew; easy boarding; lunch was tasty; pleasant trip overall."

Positiv: "It was great having a whole row to myself, the staff were good and they're was a much better selection of movies than on other air carriers flights"
Negativ: "The temperature in the cabin wasn't great, being so hot it will only breed those germs. Food could be better, especially breakfast. I think they should bring the drinks around more often too."

Positiv: "The crew was friendlier than on the other airlines we took on our trip. The seats were cramped (coming from someone average height) and the middle and window seats have a combined under the seat compartment so you don't feel like you have personal space. I wish the breakfast was more substantial, but other than that it was a wonderful flight and I would definitely take it again!"

Negativ: "My booking was cancelled due to the fact that I didn't arrive at the airport 90 minutes ahead of time. I understand policy, but this is a pretty important rule that should be made clear. None of my 4 emails before my trip mentioned this rule. My plan was to be there 2 hours early, but i was coming from 5 hours away and there was a lot of traffic in Chicago. I ended up at the wrong terminal. By the time I made it to the correct terminal, (45 minutes ahead of departure) they had cancelled my ticket and would not refund or reschedule. I had to start from the beginning for an international ticket, now for a same-day purchase. We were stuck with no options."

Positiv: "The crew was professional throughout. Food and service were decent and pleasant."
Negativ: "Flight was rerouted to JFK and then delayed until next morning. Reason was mechanical so that was understandable. This was an AA flight and they were not prepared for us at JFK even though they had 2+ hours before we landed there. Once there they kept us waiting for another 2+ hours at the gate and updates were infrequent and inconsistent. We wound up sent to hotels in Staten Island (an hour away from JFK) for about 2 hours of sleep. Next morning after boarding, plane was delayed for almost 2 hours due to "catering supply" issues. We arrived in Dublin 15 hours late. Also, planes were old and did not have wifi or video seats: overhead TVs were small and scattered throughout the center of the cabin ceiling--I was surprised because all int'l flights I have taken in the past few years have had better accommodations (even through AA and their partners). Furthermore, some clothes in my checked luggage were wet--not sure how that happened as they announced our checked luggage would be stored inside planes overnight. Very negative experience and will look to avoid AA Int'l flights in the future even if it means paying more."
