Negativ: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

After I had finished off my meal and ready to go to sleep, someone was bringing my drink out and I then respectfully say no to it as it was bit late after the meal and asked for water instead and did not like the look on the face of the crew member. I saw it happening with other passengers as well and was under the impression, the whole crew performance was pretty poor and SIA was not up to its high-standards as I always like to fly with them. I will look for different option next time"

Positiv: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

But they had the same angular seats like Malaysian Airlines. There was no point in paying the extra money."

Great entertainment choices. Some TV functionality issues for a seatmate, but he was able to change seats. cabin crew was multinational, multilingual, and warm and professional. It reminded me of the way air travel used to be."

Getränke gab es auch fast nur zu den Mahlzeiten. Durst! Service war wenig aufmerksam. Der A380 sah schon etwas ramschig aus und das IFE war älterer Generation. Zudem sehr viel Werbung vor Filmen. Irgendwann fing eine roten Flüsssigkeit an, auf uns zu tropfen. Wein. Die Aufmerksamkeit der Crew hierfür zu erhalten war schwierig. Schließlich fanden sie die Ursache (zerbrochene Weinflasche in Business auf dem Oberdeck) und setzten uns um. Schwach. Wir werden Emirates in Zukunft möglichst meiden."

Negativ: "Unser Flug hatte 6 Stunden Verspätung. Morgens um 04:00 Uhr durften wir zwei Stunden Schlange stehen, um einzuchecken und einen neuen Anschluss zu bekommen. Wir konnten aber keinen alternativen Zielflughafen wählen. Das wäre vielleicht in DXB möglich gewesen. Nicht in HKG. Abflugzeit war plötzlich ca. 30 Minuten früher, als man uns am Vorabend gesagt hatte. Also zum Gate gehetzt, nachdem Checkin endlich absolviert war - und dann doch noch eine weitere Stunde Verspätung gehabt. Im Flug Nachtcatering für Tagflug - zuerst Frühstück, später ein leichtes Mittagessen (ursprünglich Mitternachtssnack). Das hätte man in 6 h umplanen können. Zu schlechter Letzt gab es kaum Getränkeservice und die Crew schien die meiste Zeit schwatzend hinter geschlossenen Vorhängen in der Galley zu verbringen. Schon recht unprofessionell."

Japanese Customs refused to let us through due to "unaccompanied baggage" since the piece was lost by the airline and had us go back to another baggage employee who couldn't grasp that we already went through the process and had no clue what to do."

I love emirates but the Dubai airport makes me reconsider flying with them again."

Wegen Hauptlounge-Umbaus ist die Aspire Lounge zu benutzen, sehr beengt und ueberfuellt. Angebot an Essen auch eher bescheiden."

Positiv: "I really liked the "About my flight" application on the viewing screens because it always gave me an idea of what we were flying over and how much longer we woulld be in the air. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised that I could have wine with dinner or any time the attendants offered beveragess. The attendants were always professional and helpful. They all were fluent in English as well as several other languages. It was a nice touch when the attendant wore white gloves when he or she was collecting passengers' trash after meals and/or beverage service. I loved the cheese that was served at dinner. The warm croissants served at breakfast were a very nice touch."

They held some people but not others. Middle seats have metal polls, making legroom awkward."

Flight attendants helped with moving carry on bags in bins but with little consideration to the items. Completely unorganized boarding process to the point it is worth paying a little more to fly a different airline."

Negativ: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."

Negativ: "Felt herded like cattle during the boarding process. No children's amenities as advertised. Children's meal was so-so. Adult meals had chocolate included, which children's meal did not have. Seriously?! The snack provided was all inclusive for adults and children and was way too spicy for my 6-year-old."

Negativ: "They rescheduled me for 40+ hours of flight instead of the 19 that I had paid for. Instead of flying me directly Turin to Munich, I had to go Turin to Frankfurt, 5.5 hour layover, then Frankfurt to Munich, 13.5 hour layover, then Munich to Denver. 2 of those 3 flights were an hour delayed."
