They have crammed so many seats onto their planes that I’m surprised it isn’t a health hazard. I was in an aisle seat and every time I started to fall asleep, someone going down the aisle slammed into me, making any sort of rest impossible. And the flight attendants had the typical U.S. flight attendant perma-rage, of course. I feel sorry for them, underpaid and overworked, but always p***ed off. Anerican Airlines needs to look at Emirates and other non-U.S. carriers to learn how to treat their passengers."

If there are multiple carrier types, I should be able to input my flight number and my info ahould come up for me to view flight info and check in, or seat assignment. In the end I dowloaded 2 or 3 apps, a confusing phone call, and when i got to rhw intial check in I was not treated well by tsa personnel. Maybe my name triggered thw extra search or something.Anyway, that last part is unrelated but my return flight was kind of a struggle."

Negativ: "We were denied boarding to our flight because the gate agent said we were late to the podium. We were there 10 minutes prior to departure. The jetway was still full of passengers. There was no reason she did not let us on other than she wanted to punish us for being late to the podium. We missed our connecting flight and had to rent a car to get home. Corporate American Airline customer relations was awful to work with. They did not care."

Negativ: "The first class flight attendants were VERY RUDE to the passengers getting on the plane, especially the male flight attendant. While serving drinks, instead of saying things like "pardon me", they would say "move" (as was said directly to me) and get out of the way" (as I herd him say to another passinger). Very disrespectful way to treat a person, let alone a paying customer! Btw...I am a middle class 5' 11" tall college educated male."

Negativ: "The fact that I was confirmed on this flight and no one would give me a seat assignment. Not when I checked in 2 hours early for my initial flight from MHT nor when I arrived in Philadelphia to catch this next leg. They made me wait at the gate and then went and checked the plane and came back and said board and take any empty seat! Never again!"

Positiv: "I was traveling with my granddaughter who is a toddler. Just imagine waiting an extra 2 hours for the flight to depart."

Negativ: "The flight was delayed three times and ultimately cancelled. I got no notification of the cancellation, only found out because I was constantly checking. Ticketing agents in the airport were overwhelmed and ignored most passengers, on the phone they were useless and offered no solution. I was attending a family funeral in the morning and after American offered no options I rented a car (another huge expense) and drove all night to get the my destination."

Negativ: "When I noticed on the itinerary that the layover only gave me 35 minutes I knew it would be a problem. I missed my flight and never got to Pensacola . AA staff were not very Empathetic. It seems to happen often. I'm in a hotel and praying that my flight leaves today."

Negativ: "It was a narrow, regional aircraft, so I was squeezed into my row next to a large man. My seat was the first in economy, so I was bumped everytime the beverage cart made the jog in the path from First Class. The flight attendant never apologized."

Negativ: "we are looking good for timely departure except we found a small item during walk around. maintenance is on call. good news maintenance has arrived and is working. good news maintenance is finished and finalizing paper work, we will be only 5 to 10 min late. due to delay on apron we will be 40 to 50 min late. luggage - two out of three made it. one guy unloading entire plane at PNS So total delay 2 hrs and minus one suit case."

Positiv: "well it did get us to our destination eventually"
Negativ: "The flight was over and over delayed due to no captain would be available. In the end the flight was leaving 4 hours late and no compensation like free food voucher would be offered. We were hungry and they let us wait the last 40min in the plane until the finally could find a co-pilot. No information was offered to the passenger as to when we would be leaving"

Positiv: "Your sirvey is not well designed; there was no food or entertainment on the flight yet we must give it a rating?"

Positiv: "The male flight attendant was especially aware and empathetic towards several passengers, including a young mother with a 14 month old who was traveling with the child by herself for the first time. He took the time to try and entertain the little girl when he passed by and even stopped for a few minutes to talk with her and her mother during the flight. All the attendants were friendly and seemed to care sincerely for the comfort and safety of the passengers. Thank you!"

Negativ: "Der Flug wurde um 6-7 Stunden verschoben, so dass ich keinen Anschluss Flug mehr hatte um nach Hause zu kommen. Der Service vor Ort war sehr schlecht, es hatte viel zu wenig Personal. Ich hatte einen freundlichen Helfer am Schalter, aber sein Supervisor hat mich dann ohne zu Fragen einfach irgendwie umgebucht, z.B. ein Tag später, dann mit Übernachtung irgendwo. Die Flüge am selben Tag wurden zuerst gar nicht berücksichtigt, bis ich dann online selber gesucht habe. Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"

Positiv: "The gate at the Chicago airport was well designed. There was a line for each boarding group, and you could line up early. This is particularly effective for some Asian flights, which can sometimes be chaotic with many different nationalities all lining up."

Positiv: "Just about everything was perfect. lots of leg room in economy plus, seat next to me stayed empty, the meals were very taste. And the crew members were extremely professional. It was just a perfect experience."

Positiv: "We were slightly delayed departing because of a mechanical concern. Thankfully there was nothing wrong so we departed within a few minutes. To compensate the pilot authorized free direct TV for the flight. Very nice I enjoyed a movie. We landed on time."

Negativ: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

Veraltete Sitze die zwar breit aber unbequem sind. Völlig veraltetes Entertainment System, mit gerade einmal acht Filmen, keine Pausefunktion, keine Möglichkeit zurückzuspulen, Bildschirm ist schlanke 12 Zoll groß. Bordtoilette war alt und schlecht gepflegt."

Negativ: "I checked my bags in early. Checked myself in early. My bag did not end up in the flight with me. I had to wait around a hour until I found that it was put On another flight. Close to three hours later and no Communication I finally found my bag. Not too happy with the organization when it came to dropping bags and weither or not they made it on my flight."

Negativ: "My flight was many hours delayed due to bad weather in Denver. Then my flight from Denver to LAX was eventually cancelled so I took a direct flight from Phl to LAX on American. That flight was fine."

Positiv: "The service was pretty good on time and clean i liked the whole trip!!!"

Negativ: "The flight attendants were absolutely terrible - they were rude, snotty and downright disrespectful. I definitely will never be flying United again! Shame on you!!"

Keine Serien etc. for free. Mein Fazit: Fliegen in den USA ist für den Europäer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dabei sind die Preise für die Flüge nun nicht ungewöhnlich günstig, als dass das die ganzen zahlungspflichtigen Services rechtfertien würde..."
