Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

Not getting an aisle seat was disturbing at my height. Then there was the guy in front of me not willing to forego putting his seat back on my knees for over half the flight. It would be nice if the seat assignments for general boarding considered the height of the person being assigned."

They kept saying they were short handed when I inquired on at least 3 occasions to inform them that my wife and I was going to miss our connecting flight. We did! I finally got my body pat down by the TSA person saying we could go in the back room or there. I said there. I was treated like I was a drug mule. I was told to remove my belt, he went into my waist bands, the collar of my shirt, my crotch area, etc. then he said to stay there as he had to check his hands for explosives. I registered and was approved for TSA pre-check. I am a Security professional for the Givernment. I am also a 65 year old cancer patient. REALLY! When I presented my letter previous stated from my doctor that I had received radiation you would think they would have a shred of professionalism and just do a normal pat down. The only bright spot was Ametican Airlines did find me a connecting flight to Norfolk."

Besides the fact that there was nothing to eat that didn't require paying for, and the fact that the restroom was so small that I could not stand upright in it, and the drain in the sink did not work very well, and the seats were cramped, and my companion on the wheelchair was put on last, not first, so that his bags had to be stored far away from his seat."

My husband has work at 5:30 in the morning as well as my brother who was supposed to pick us up and they are in the navy so being late isn't an option. My brother could no longer pick us up due to the fact that we did t get our luggage until 1 in the morning and he has work in a few hours so we had to wait for a taxi and pay a buttload to get home in Virginia Beach. NOT PLEASED!!"

Ich hatte einen freundlichen Helfer am Schalter, aber sein Supervisor hat mich dann ohne zu Fragen einfach irgendwie umgebucht, z.B. ein Tag später, dann mit Übernachtung irgendwo. Die Flüge am selben Tag wurden zuerst gar nicht berücksichtigt, bis ich dann online selber gesucht habe. Schlussendlich hat mir ein Mitarbeiter der Lufthansa geholfen noch einen Flug am gleichen tag zu bekommen. Mein Gepäck ist bis jetzt 48h später noch nicht aufgetaucht. Gesamthaft für United ein sehr schlechter Service!!!"

I was told where to go with the wave of her hand and she did not want to be bothered more...got to the gated area and the agents there were way too busy chatting to be bothered. On my return trip home was better because i now knew the layout. I am sure my next trip will be improved."

We won't be flying United again."

While I completely understand the need to check extra luggage when the plane is full, I was very upset when I saw it was not. I intentionally fly with a carry on for the convenience, and to be inconvenienced for absolutely no reason made me not want to fly with this company again for fear it could happen again in the future."

They sure had drinks and dinner even though we didn't. Negativ: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."

I had to wait a bit too long for my carry on bag from the crew to bring it up from below. The pilot even had to wait for the ground crew to arrive so the pilot could taxi in to park the plane! So some of the problem lies with United and Norfork airport staff."
Negativ: "Delayed, delayed, delayed, flight canceled, flight rescheduled, delayed, late takeoff, missed connection. Rescheduled connection, overnight in the airport, late takeoff. From OKC to Norfolk, Virginia, 27 hours. I drove the same trip last year and it took less time than that. I will never fly United Airlines again."

Keine Serien etc. for free. Mein Fazit: Fliegen in den USA ist für den Europäer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dabei sind die Preise für die Flüge nun nicht ungewöhnlich günstig, als dass das die ganzen zahlungspflichtigen Services rechtfertien würde..."
