Apparently I 'gave' up my seat. Once the shift manager started to help me, I thought things would've ok. It got worse. The Delta training took over. Both employees repeated the exact same words about me volunteering my seat so there's no compensation. It cost me a hotel night and 24 hours. I will avoid Delta at all costs... and I know it will be difficult since flying through ATL is pretty much alway Delta. But, it's too much. Lying, rude and dismissive employees at various levels of management. Horrible"

I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

We had to wait 10 hours in VIE & given €12 for food. AA cited "rotational issues". Shockingly, Austrian Air delayed the 2nd flight by another hour "to wait for someone". We had to cancel the show. Really angry"

I did not fly back with them and at check in the three seats were confirmed on a boarding pass printed at their departure location. Upon checking in on the connecting flight in Vienna, the seat assignment had been completely disregarded and three seats located 10+ aisles apart were given to a family traveling together??????? This makes no sense and must be due to booking through a third party. Unacceptable and not worth the $40 per ticket savings."

Another disadvantage is that the lounge only opens at 5.30am in the morning but first flight already leave Vienna around 6am. Mine was at 7.05am which meant that I just arrived when the lounge opened and I had to wait in a long cue. Boarding was due to the limited space in front of the gate a mess, priority boarding was announced but I was not made sure that priority passengers board first. The seats on board are for business to small and there is not even space to hag up the coat."

Flight was smooth and uneventful. Good movie choices. Bathroom was clean and nearby. Plane seemed newer Boeing model. The City Airport Transport (CAT) train from the Vienna airport to city center was fantastic. We were able to check our luggage and get boarding passes where we boarded the CAT at the metro station and did not have to wait in line at the airport...wonderful system!"
Negativ: "At the gate there was a line formed for a second passport check but it was not clear to passengers that they needed to go through this line. A significant number of us had SSSS on our boarding passes which required us to go through a second, more thorough, TSA security procedure. We had to remove shoes, take electronics including phones from cases, have purse contents gone through by personnel, be screened for residue, etc. Due to this process and the fact that we were not advised to stand in the line, a number of passengers went through the second security check at the last minute which caused our takeoff to be delayed. The pilot made up the time during the flight. I ordered low sodium meal which ended up to be the same food at both meals which was a disappointment - pasta with tomato, eggplant sauce."

Not only one, because I have asked for more......most of them! It is disgusting! Something must have been wrong with the headphones because the volume was on max when i tried to watch the move but barely could hear anything. I have flew with Lufthansa most of the time and in the future will chose them. Very disappointing that sooo many little things are interrupting a vacation."

They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Positiv: "I flew in economy. 9+ hours from ORD to HEL. The seat was average size. We were provided with a pillow, blanket and headphones. I did not use the in-flight entertainment, which was on an LCD screen. It was warm, so i didn't use the blanket. I also brought a neck-pillow, which is vital on overnight flights. They served a full dinner shortly after takeoff: I had meat lasagna which wasn't that bad, along with corn, a roll w/ butter, two saltine crackers with decent cheese and a chocolate pudding. Upon waking, I ate the breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and two sausages and a roasted tomato, a roll with butter, fruit cup and orange juice, coffee on the side. All pretty good, it was nice to have a meal before deplaning in Helsinki and waiting to get through passport control. Attendants on this flight were quite friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. No problems with luggage. All in all, a real bargain price, and I got more than I bargained for."

Negativ: "The flight was a codeshare with Air Canada. It was delayed by 2.5 hours which I later found out is typical for this flight and that it rately leaves Glasgow on time. So I missed my early afternoon connecting flight to Detroit. Air Canada could not get me out until the next evening and was quite rude. They did not put me up in a hotel or give me food vouchers until I complained. When I complained, they were able to get me on a flight the next morning rather than the next evening. The food was mediocre at best."
Positiv: "A few of the crew members were very pleasant and professional. The choice of movies was good, though I had to sit through five minutes of advertisements before they started."
Negativ: "I was flying from London to the U.S. with a connection in Toronto. One of the crew members, who was somewhat rude, told me that I would need to fill out Canadian and American customs forms and go through both in Canada, and to not "stop for coffee" as the plane was 20 minutes behind schedule. I had a question about the Canadian form and asked another crew member who told me (correctly) that the first crew member was wrong; I did not need to fill out the Canadian form or visit Canadian customs for my one hour layover. When checking in at the kiosk, my seat was shown as an aisle seat so I didn't try to change it, but my boarding pass printed a middle seat which is very uncomfortable for a tall person."
Negativ: "My flight was overbooked and I had to take a flight the next day because of it. I almost missed my cruise because of the overbooked flight. It really made for a hassle when traveling"
Negativ: "This was an absolutely terrible flying experience. Our flight from Toronto to Vancouver was delayed by almost 5 hours, which meant I missed my connection to Victoria. Almost no information was given about what to expect about our onward travel connections in Vancouver (most people had connections). I was told that not only would AC book me on an alternate flight, but there would be an agent to meet us with information about baggage, hotel stays, etc. There was no such agent. An agent was only available for folks connecting long-haul to Sydney, Australia, but for no other destinations. I tried to call the airline directly to get information, and kept being told "you will have to speak to someone at the airport". No information was given about where my bags where, whether they would be at the airport or about my connecting flight. I was also told that if I chose to stay in a hotel I would need to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement. Unwilling to take the risk of not getting reimbursed, I, like many of my fellow travellers, chose to suck it up and sleep on the floor at the airport. They also failed to tell me that I would need a brand new boarding pass, so after waiting 30m to get through security, I then was sent back to wait another 30m to "check in" yet again and get another boarding pass. This was absolutely one of the worst flying experiences I've had recently, and it utterly frustrates me that AC has a near-monopoly on Canadian air travel. I live in Victoria and will likely go back to what I did in the past, which was take sea travel to Seattle and fly from there just to avoid Air Canada."
Positiv: "The crew were nice. I like the type of plane. It arrived basically on time, with my luggage."
Negativ: "First, I despise Air Canada's new policy of charging $25 per segment per passenger to get a seat assignment - any seat assignment. This isn't a surcharge for more leg room, or to move to business class - it is for the ability to pick seats at all. That means that if I want to sit next to my spouse on a simple direct flight, the cost is $100 round trip ($25 x 4)! For that much money, we should not only be seated together, we should be seated together at a very nice restaurant (which is exactly where we spent the $100 that we refused to spend on seat assignments). Second, my particular seat wasn't clean. Someone had been sick, and it wasn't completely cleaned up. Maybe getting a clean seat is an additional surcharge? The nice stewardess helped me and with some sanitizing hand wipes we were able to get rid of the remnants stuck on my tray and the wall of the aircraft (of course, since I didn't pay for a seat assignment, I ended up in a last row window seat in a plane without middle seats)."
Positiv: "Nice plane, decent seats."
Negativ: "Delayed flight. Luggage didn't make it on to the aircraft in Toronto. Only 4 agents working the counters with a line of about 80+ or so people trying to check in with no supervisor present to make things better or get more counters open. Security didn't stamp boarding pass so had to go back to security check point to get boarding pass stamped before boarding. And it is no longer "random selection" when you get "randomly" selected for extra screening every time you travel from Toronto!!!"
Positiv: "The food was good"
Negativ: "I was put in overbooking, and was concerned about not being able to get on the flight. Everything worked out fine in the end, but still did not appreciate this. Given the risk of not being able to board, I will likely not use this airline in the future."
Positiv: "That the plane didn't crash."
Negativ: "When I flew to Toronto the plane left 15 mins late but arrived an hour an twenty min late. No turbulence or trouble, just late. I stepped off that plane to my connector to Paris when boarding was suppose to start but that plane was on an hour delay. The food is just horrible, anyone who has flown knows this, and on both flights first class was the only priority. They got to everyone else when it was convenient. This was my first time flying with Air Canada and will certainly be my last. I'll happily pay a little more for the other airlines. So if you fly with them, good luck to you."
Negativ: "Cancelled my flight. I have zero faith in Air Canada."
Positiv: "The food was pretty good for airline food. The stewardesses were nice and attentive, and they provided an ipad for in-flight entertainment free of charge (usually $10) when my boyfriend's laptop couldn't use the system. Air Canada employees at check-in were polite and worked quickly."
Negativ: "We had a terrible experience on our first flight from Chicago to Toronto, causing us to miss our connection and delaying our travel essentially 24hrs in total. We were expecting the worst this time around as well, but things went without a hitch. Only complaint is that the in-flight wifi kept cutting out so I had to keep restarting the videos I was watching, almost every 15min or so. My boyfriend's Air Canada-provided iPad had great service though, and access to newer released movies."
Positiv: "I enjoyed the efficiency and friendliness of the crew and the timliness of the flights themselves as well as the boarding process."
Negativ: "First flight: My headphones didn't work with the entertainment system and the only other option to watch what was on the tv was to purchase headphones. Also, the movie skeleton was somewhat limited. Also, it was a longer flight but there was no free food option"
Positiv: "Highly professional - in great contrast with the disastrous US carriers. Effortless departure and early arrival!"
Negativ: "Employees have the aura of state-owned company bureaucrats. Competent but charmless, unfriendly. Head rest was broken and made creaking noises the entire flight. Food uninspired."

Positiv: "I had a missed connection due to a problem with the US visa on arrival system being down (mainly my fault for not being adequately prepared). Air Canada staff were very helpful and courteous, they rebooked my flight for the next day and helped me find a hotel for the night. Greatly appreciated!"

Negativ: "I was upset that my flight was cancelled one day before the flight day. I contacted Air Canada but they should have tried to contact me as soon as the cancellation."

Negativ: "No space at all. Despite 5-hour length, no complementary food. Will not willingly choose Rouge unless it is the only option"

Negativ: "the comfort and location of seats ran around for days acquiring a doctors note for easy access seating. grateful for the refund but would've rather paid and actually had a seat that was accommodating to my needs. stared at rows of empty seats all the way home. didn't even use the washroom as they were too far away from my seats. never mind the unfriendly and unhelpful staff..never again will i use air Canada. i think it was my first but definitely my last."
Positiv: "Nothing to like, except that it might not be the worst business class out there."
Negativ: "I could feel the vibration of every footstep in the galleys, in my business class seat, and the plane overall seemed to rattle. This was the A330-300. Not a comfortable ride, and disturbed sleep. Especially when compared with Lufthansa on the previous sector. The service has never been great on Air Canada, and the food is becoming mediocre. There should be no obese flight attendants. I would never want to fly Air Canada if I can help it."

Positiv: "I was given an awesome seat with leg room. Slept like a baby the whole time!"
Negativ: "The seats with leg room are usually given to couples with a baby, but I slept through with earphones on and did not notice a single cry."
Positiv: "On December 20th I flew from Vienna to Toronto. It was the first time I flew with AA. I fainted a couple ours into the flight and the cabin crew took care of me and made sure I was okay for the remainder of the flight. We also made it to Toronto half an hour early! Would fly again!"
Negativ: "We pay so much today and all we get is pretzels. What happen to a hot meal bullshit bulldhit That's why I normally drive."
Positiv: "After having pad an extra $100 for my seat reservation, I was comfortable in my extra leg room seat in a full flight on a newly configured, even tighter economy class setting. Flying is becoming increasingly like riding a bus but while tightly fitted next to one traveller, one can easily be stuck in a four seater arrangement in the middle. Welcome to the new cargo class. For all customers wishing to continue to enjoy the former economy class three seater arrangement with almost no elbow room are requested to upgrade to the newly named "premium economy class". Soon business class will become the once newly introduced premium economy. On a separate note, I flew on an Austrian Airlines flight, and not Air Canada. On Austrian one doesn't have to pay for food, headsets or a blanket when you're cold and the crew is usually more welcoming, which makes the overall experience a positive one. I would have no hesitation to recommend Austrian Airlines--as long as they don't follow suit with Airlines where old planes are reconfigured to hold up to 100% more passengers cramped in a tight space while charging for everything while you're on board. And if you're waiting to see a welcoming smile, it was on another airline."
