They would not even offer to hold my flight for 24 hours in case they fixed the issue within that time frame. It was very disappointing."

Negativ: "Plane was diverted back to Toronto from LaGuardia airport as we were told due to "weather", landed late at night and were told that due to not being able to control weather WestJet could not assist with accommodations, leaving everyone stranded and scrambling to find a room in alreday booked up hotels. When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Mir sollte es Recht sein."

Es wird schon der Final Call ausgerufen, während die Passagiere alle in der Schlange vor der Abfertigung stehen. Und dann bei strömendem Regen zu Fuss zum Flieger, weil er nicht andoggen kann. Alle nass ins Flugzeug. Aber, das liegt natürlich an der Abfertigung in Birmingham und nicht an KLM."

Negativ: "Luggage (being handled by Air France in Basel) was first marked as delayed... nothing of the flight was in the end put on the belt and instead dropped off at Lost and Found. Ridiculous service since this was in no way announced to the people waiting for their suitcase."

Negativ: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

We finally boarded at 11:30 and we arrived an hour late to our destination. They offered drinks to the 2 people flying "business class" (they were just sitting in the front but amongst the economy class seats) at the very beginning, but then waited to serve everyone else, but as it was late, most people were already sleeping. We arrived an hour late."

After waiting over a half an hour after landing to de-board, we were given much information In trying to get to the proper places to check certain baggage items, and we walked up and down and around a whole terminal trying to get to the proper gait. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this airport. Thankfully, the flight itself after that horrendous experience was good."
