Even if you have diamond one world status (the highest) unless u fly business class there is no chance in getting more onboard for your carryon. Works best airline my a**!"

Negativ: "Unfortunately, the plane was late, prompting me to miss my connecting flight. These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."

Positiv: "I flew from Bali to Doha and then Doha to Dulles after an 8 hour layover. Both flights operated a Boeing 777. The planes were spotlessly clean both flights. The menu choices were amazing and the wine selections were very good. What made the difference was the attentiveness of the cabin crew. I would particularly like to commend the purser and the flight attendants on flight 707 DOH-IAD for their assistance and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty"
Negativ: "Flight 707 was supposed to have the new Qsuites in Business Class, so it was disappointing that without prior notice the airline switched to an aircraft with normal (but quite good) business class seating. Nevertheless, the purser and the flight attendants made the flight memorable in a very positive way."

Positiv: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Negativ: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

I followed the baggage allowance explained on kayak website and on Aerolineas Argentinas. I took a bicycle which is free and i pay $100 to packed it as Aerolineas wanted. When I arrived it was a Delta flight and they told they don't allow bicycles and that i had to play $150. Aerolineas website and kayak clearly says that bicycles were free on my flight. I show the agent my ticket and that no where it said delta to consider what he was saying since it is an alliance but i was not informed about it. He said no and after wait there for a while before boarding i kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and the denied it and disappeared. I request a refund of my fee to you for providing incorrect information."

Über die Verzögerung wurden die Gäste erst durch eine SMS informiert. Es dauerte dann ca. 30 Minuten bis die Dame am Gate sich eine erste kurze Ansage abgerungen hat. Das Boarding dauert schließlich auch unendlich lange/ Maschine war komplett ausgebucht. Besser wäre gewesen, von hinten nach vorne die Maschine zu füllen, nicht kreuz und quer durcheinander, bis jeder dann sein Gepäck verstaut hat - das kostete zusätzlich Zeit."

Heutzutage nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Flug war pünktlich, trotz 25 min Taxi in LHR. Bequeme Sitze und sauber! Verständliche Durchsagen in angemessener Lautstärke (DE und engl), bin überrascht. Angenehme Kabinentemperatur (auch nicht selbstverständlich)"
Negativ: "Leider startet Lufthansa vom Terminal 2. Liegt ungünstig, wenn man mit Auto oder Bus an-/Abreist, weil erst der ganze Flughafen umfahren werden muss. 8kg Handgepäcksregelung ist echt nicht zeitgemäß und eine schickane. Mit Laptop, Tablet, Rasierer, Ladekabel und 1x Wechselkleidung knackt man das ganz schnell. Lufthansa Group ist bei manchen Flügen penibler als Ryanair! Es müssen ja keine 23kg sein, aber selbst KLM bietet 12kg."

Negativ: "Im Gegensatz zu meinen bisherigen Flügen mit der Lufthansa in der Business Class war diesmal eine Flugbegleitung für 12 Passagiere alleine zuständig, was bei zwei Kleinkindern und einem "anspruchsvollen" Passagier bereits zu einer ansatzweisen Überforderung geführt hat (Essen und Getränke wurden äußerst zeitverzögert gebracht, Schwimmweste und Anschnallgurt für Kleinkind wurde in zwei Gängen gebracht und der Gurt erst kurz vor der Startbahn der Mutter übergeben. Eine Whiskey Sorte war nur für ein Glas vorhanden und war bei einem rund neunstündigen Flug binnen 15 Minuten vergeben. Äußerst ärgerlich, wenn die gebotenen Alternativen keine sind."

Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Negativ: "Flight back was OK but flight to Orlando was not. Travelling with s 94 yr old man in a wheelchair. Everything at Pearson is not conduscent to travel with a handicapped person. Poor layout, poor assistance, non caring people, long distances,, and final straw was air canada started boarding without calling for handicapped first. We had to stop them and then fight our way up the aisle with people all in the way. Terrible, just lousey. 3 and a half hours before flight we arrived and didn't even have a chance to get some lunch before flight. I give Toronto and air Canada the worst possible rating of any airport or airline I've ever dealt with. John O"Hearn"

Positiv: "Walking past the Turkish Airlines desk in Dulles and knowing I would NEVER have to interact with these monsters again."
Negativ: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

The noise woke me up over and over. I finally asked him what he was getting and he told me it was his lunch! Irritating."

Positiv: "Flew economy from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Aircraft looked like a newer Airbus A320 with the new Air Canada branding (black lettering against white fuselage). Air Canada check in process has passengers use self service kiosks first and then take the tags and luggage to the counter. The employees at check in were all very efficient and made sure the line didn't get too long. The flight left on time. Every seat had personal entertainment system, and mine worked great. The flight attendants themselves were very professional."
Negativ: "The in flight magazine was water damaged and somewhat soiled (probably from prior passenger's drink). I wish the on ground cleaning crew would take the time to inspect the seat back pockets."

Their phone line was flooded with so many calls that you couldn't even stay on hold. And their email service takes at least 24hrs before you get a response. So effectively the entire airline was unavailable, even after canceling many people's vacations. I'll never fly AC again."

Negativ: "No food when they got to back row and we were starving. No apology and no alternate offers. Also my two yr old boy was about to fall asleep and every time the crew member switched on their reading light and walked away. I had to turn them off. Worst experience on an Air Canada flight."

Negativ: "the whole process in Montreal seemed cold. Not really friendly compared to our domestic flight from Los Angeles to Montreal. The crew weren't very friendly at all. It's as if we were bothering them to ask a question or for them to give a smile once in a while."

Negativ: "I only have one bag. My bag is weighted 57 lb and charged me CA$100.00. They should have averaged 2 bags' weight and I should not have charged CA$100.00. I think the service is poor."

Negativ: "Flight got cancelled then accommodations were extremely unorganized."

Positiv: "Other than the rude employee in Vancouver's ticket and baggage counter, I'd fly Air Canada all the time if I could. SO much better than any of the other commercial airlines."
Negativ: "We had a 10 hour layover in Vancouver, which would have been fine except that we had to get our luggage and recheck it the following morning. This left us outside of security, unable to go anywhere to rest. No one expects to be comfortable when you spend the night in the airport, but this was worse. No where to sleep, no decent chairs to rest in. We weren't sure why, since our connecting flight to Seoul South Korea was also Air Canada, our luggage had to be picked up at baggage claim, held on until the following morning, then rechecked. The clerks at the Air Canada ticket and baggage counter were supposed to be opened at 9, but an incredibly rude employee snapped at me that he didn't have time to talk to me, that I'd just need to wait until 9:30 when they opened."

Negativ: "Put on stand-by because flight oversold. No notice. Finally got on at the last moment. Our bags did not arrive."

Negativ: "I almost missed my connecting flight due to AC delaying departure in Vancouver. I received no solid information from the stewardess on the flight on whether the connecting plane in Toronto would wait. I mean, really. There was never any explanation as to why the Vancouver flight was late either."

Positiv: "Flight was on time. The landing was smooth, not bumpy."

Negativ: "There was no entertainment system. The boarding was extremely slow and delayed due to the amount of carry on luggage. Ultra slim uncomfortable seats for a 9 hour flight."

Positiv: "It was on-time, left enough time to reach connections and my bag arrived."
Negativ: "Flight was slightly delayed boarding in NYC but it wasn't a long delay and we left on time."

Negativ: "Flight was delayed by 30 min"

Positiv: "The crew was very nice and helpful. The in flight movies are good."
Negativ: "Boarding was a little hectic and unorganized. And although my luggage made it to my second flight, my friends luggage was left in Toronto. Now we are in Amsterdam and she has no clothes. My head phone jack was also broken and could barely be used."

Positiv: "Standard flight - everything was as expected."

Positiv: "The food was good"
Negativ: "I was put in overbooking, and was concerned about not being able to get on the flight. Everything worked out fine in the end, but still did not appreciate this. Given the risk of not being able to board, I will likely not use this airline in the future."

Positiv: "Cost of the ticket."
Negativ: "Very cramped seating, bad food (a slice of greasy banana bread for breakfast?), lights on too late. AC needs to alert travelers to the differences between Rouge and regular flights."
