Long haul flights should not have seats this small. Also, for health reasons, all seats should have foot rests. It shouldn't be about money, people can die from sitting like that for so long. Also, the food that I could eat was good, but there should be a no fish option. You have a lot of diet types available to choose from but none guarantee no fish. The process for requesting a special meal online was not clear and confusing."

Seats even in basic economy are very comfortable with adequate legroom for my 250 lbs frame. Food is good with two choices and an option to customize online prior to the flight; and drinks are offered several times during the flight with numerous choices plus hot coffee and tea. Restrooms are cleaned several times during the flight and are stocked with amenities like toothbrush and paste, blindfold for sleeping, lotions etc."

Positiv: "We lucked out on a sparsely filled flight so nearly everyone had a row to themselves, even in Economy class. Food was tasty, and the crew provided many opportunities for drinks. Crew was friendly and even volunteered some drawing packs for our 19-month old!"

And gosh was it horrible turbulence. 13 and 1/2 hours and at least 7 incidences of really hard turbulence. I got no sleep at all, cause I was much to afraid to even close my eyes. I wish the capitains could have said something to calm us down. It was frightening."

Also, I was served a dish with ham (which I don't eat) even after asking for the contents & there being no mentioning of ham being in the dish. Although I was unsure of some of the asian vegetables used, all of the meals had a delicious flavor and always came with a side of fruit, a little desert, and a bun. For those skeptical of airplane food, this was definitely a safe bet!"
Negativ: "That they do not show what zone is boarding on the TV monitor near the boarding gate, so you have to listen carefully through several translations. The entertainment system while on flight was a bit out of date (quality of the screen was a bit poor), but they did have several good viewing options. I also found that all of the planes did not have a/c controls that you can automatically adjust."
Positiv: "The crew on ground and inflight all display the same attention to details professionalism and courtesy. Inflight food is the best, truly first rate."

Compared to economy, I was quite happy with the comfortable far-reclining seats and more than enough leg room. My one complaint is food. I'm a vegetarian and the veg options were awful...simply not acceptable. And giving passengers the full can of soda/beverage would be nice. Most adults drink more than a shot glass worth of soda or juice. Or at least fill the cup a bit more."

Negativ: "I had surgery on my leg a few days before my flight and it was doctors order to have my leg elevated on the flight home. I spoke to the airline at the desk before boarding and told them my condition and that i needed a seat to lay down and prop my leg up and they assured me i was going to have that. Once i boarded they gave me a seat with not enough leg room and i couldn't elevate my leg. I tried to tell they flight attendants over and over about my condition and they moved me to another seat that didn't even make a difference. My leg got extremely swollen on the plane ride and i had to go to urgent care as soon as i landed at LAX. i will never fly China Airlines again, i want a refund!!!!!!"

However, Eva Airlines had an exact flight from BKK to Taipei that was not delayed due to "weather problems". Another passenger said she checked China Airlines ratings and found that many have complained about China Airlines record for timeliness. Lastly, another passenger checked the weather and did not find any "weather problems"."
